Chapter 28 - Chapter 16: A false story of Oberon's life

The beginning of Oberon's life took place in the secluded and wonderful village of Eldoria, which was situated between mountains that appeared to touch the sky and forests that were dense with mysteries. His parents, Alaric and Seraphina, were kind and nurturing, and their love for their one and only son was visible in every facet of their lives. Early on in his life, Oberon displayed an exceptional amount of promise. When compared to any other child they had ever seen, he was superior in terms of speed, strength, and intelligence. He was a guiding light of optimism and pride for Eldoria, according to the elders of the hamlet, who whispered that he was destined for greatness.

Over the course of his time at the esteemed Academy of Eldoria, Oberon's abilities were refined and evaluated. He was exceptional in every field, from the realm of physical warfare to the realm of academic endeavors. It was impossible to compete with his power and speed, his mind was razor-sharp, and his appearance was mesmerizing. In a short amount of time, Oberon became a popular among his classmates and teachers. He was a bright star who was bound for success. He was loved by all, and his future seemed as bright as the morning sun.

But fate is a fickle mistress. One fateful day, Oberon departed without a trace. His untimely departure drove his family and village into despair. Alaric, his father, was inconsolable. He enlisted the services of mercenaries, bounty hunters, and even killers to find his cherished son. The entire community was in turmoil, seeking for the youngster who had become their heart and soul. Weeks came into months, and months into years, but Oberon remained absent. The villagers began to lose hope, but Alaric never gave up. He combed the regions, driven by a frantic urge to find his son. Seraphina, Oberon's mother, spent her days in mute sorrow, her heart hurting for her lost child.

Years had passed since Oberon's disappearance, but Alaric's determination never wavered. He continued to hunt for his son, driven by a strong desire to know the truth. Meanwhile, in a hidden chamber under their home, Oberon was experiencing a transformation that would change the course of history.

The chamber was a world of darkness and misery, filled with the echoes of Oberon's screams. Alaric had erected it with the help of the gods, who had granted him the power to inflict unfathomable torment on his son. Every day, Oberon faced new sorts of pain, his body recovering and growing stronger with each injury.

Why are you doing this?" Oberon had once inquired, his voice raspy from shouting.

Alaric had looked at him with a mixture of love and madness. "Because I want you to be the best, Oberon. I want you to surpass even the gods. This is the only way."

He stared at his father again, his expression filled with a mix of anxiety, confusion, and a mounting sense of dread. This power, this talent, it was something he needed to comprehend. It was something he needed to control. It was something that would certainly shape his entire future.

He understood that his father had just given him the key to unlocking a power that would permanently change his life. But he didn't know if it was a power he could completely control, or a one that would consume him.

The abuse persisted for years. Alaric used knives, weapons, and even lasers to inflict misery on his kid. Each time, Oberon's body repaired and became more tough. Alaric then sent them to a desolate planet, where no one could hear Oberon's screaming. Here, he employed spells and sorcery to inflict even greater torment.

Oberon's threshold for pain rose with each new type of torture. Alaric stunned him with volts that would kill any regular being. Yet, Oberon's resilience only grew. His body acclimated to the severe environment, becoming impenetrable to damage.

The trials by fire were the final test. Alaric subjected Oberon to temperatures that reached inconceivable heights. Starting at 500 degrees, the heat was steadily increased to 100,000 degrees. Yet, Oberon's skin, muscles, and bones remained unharmed. His body acclimated to the severe environment, becoming practically indestructible.

Seeing his physical invincibility, Alaric moved to psychological torture. He brought Seraphina into the chamber, torturing her in front of Oberon. This act of brutality pushed Oberon to the brink. Fueled by a surge of wrath and a burst of energy, he attacked his father, murdering him and the assassins who had been on standby.

In the aftermath, mighty entities detected the disruption and arrived. Among them was Tempus, a god who could manipulate time. Tempus paused time and faced Oberon, telling him not to waste his skill and asking him to join the kingdom of the gods. When Oberon showed resistance, Tempus was impressed yet tenacious, ultimately persuading Oberon to come with him.

Oberon's journey from a mortal kid to a god was complete. He had survived incredible anguish and sorrow, but he had risen stronger than ever. He was now renowned as the Oberon, a deity of strength and power.

Two years passed, and Oberon had earned his title via innumerable fights and wars. During one such combat, he faced a powerful warrior woman. She struggled fiercely against him, but instead of defeating her, Oberon saved her. The two fell in love, and his wife became pregnant, giving birth to twins: a baby boy named Umbra and a baby girl named Akari. Oberon's trip had gone full circle. He had found love and family, and his children would continue on his legacy. The youngster who had once been lost had become a god, and his story would be repeated for decades to come.
