Chapter 20 - Chapter 10: THE FALSE DREAM

Umbra and Akari lay together, their bodies entwined in exhaustion after their fierce battle against the government's forces. The night was still and quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos they had endured. As they drifted into a deep sleep, Umbra's mind was suddenly pulled into a vision, a flashback of events that occurred thousands of years ago.

Eons ago, the gods of the multiverse, bored and unchallenged, decided to create a being capable of rivaling their power. They infused a single soul with infinite amounts of energy, each god contributing to this singular creation. A woman, chosen for her resilience, bore this child. The immense power of the child caused her death during childbirth, and his birth sent shockwaves through the multiverse, shattering planets, galaxies, and entire universes.

However, this child was not just a harbinger of destruction. He possessed eyes that granted him the ability to comprehend everything he saw. As he witnessed the devastation he wrought, he sealed his powers and began to wander the planet, absorbing knowledge from everything around him. He learned from plants, trees, humans, and stars, understanding the fabric of reality itself.

At three years old, the boy found himself in a kingdom ruled by corrupt kings. Taken in by a kind family who treated him as their own, he experienced love and care for the first time. But this peace was shattered when the kingdom's guards murdered his new family without cause. The boy's father, with his dying breath, urged him to make their killers suffer. Fueled by rage and sorrow, the boy embarked on a crusade, traveling from planet to planet, executing every king he encountered.

In the celestial realm, a three-year-old angel, curious and innocent, asked his father why they were tasked with protecting heaven. His father, a wise and powerful entity, explained that the infinite tomes in heaven each contained its own reality, an omniverse with countless multiverses and realities. Each tome housed absolute beings who transcended all aspects of existence and non-existence, embodying principles, concepts, and dimensions.

"Absolute beings," he explained, "are those who surpass every conceivable limit. They transcend life and death, creation and destruction, existence and non-existence. They embody perfection and imperfection, concepts and ideas."

The young angel, intrigued, asked why such powerful beings needed protection. His father replied, "Because while they transcend many things, we transcend them. However, it is nearly impossible to destroy heaven completely. One would need to annihilate an infinite number of omniverses and all their concepts."

The gods, peering into the future, foresaw that the boy they created would one day surpass them. In a desperate bid to prevent this, they sent the Grim Reaper to eliminate him. When the Reaper confronted the boy, now known as the One True King, the boy merely looked at the Reaper's scythe, caught it, and declared, "I transcend the concept of life and death." With a mere thought, he erased the Grim Reaper, embodying total darkness and obliterating the very concept of death.

Back in the heavens, the angel's father warned him that in 13 years, he would have to face the One True King. "Train hard and protect the heavens from him. Do not hate him for his actions; he does not understand love yet. Be his brother when you meet."

Thirteen years later, the One True King, now a formidable force, ascended to the heavens. He laid waste to everything in his path: gods, angels, stories, omniverses, and absolute beings. The young angel, now grown, confronted him amidst the chaos.

"Why do you have red eyes and black hair this time?" the angel asked.

The One True King, his eyes burning with an intense red glow, replied, "These eyes see the truth of all things, and this hair reflects the darkness within."

With a single tap of his finger, the One True King began to destroy the tomes. Each tome, containing infinite multiverses, timelines, and realities, vanished into nothingness. The concepts within—life, death, creation, destruction, and even the concept of nothingness—were obliterated.

As he tapped each tome, entire realities ceased to exist. Stars winked out, planets crumbled, and the fabric of space and time unraveled. The very essence of existence was being rewritten. The young angel, witnessing the destruction, asked, "Why are you doing this?"

The One True King paused, his gaze piercing through the angel. "The gods gave me this power as a curse. I wanted to see if it was possible to destroy everything in an instant. Now I see that it is."

Their blades clashed, the force of their battle echoing through the remains of the heavens. The One True King's power was absolute, and with each strike, the angel felt the weight of countless realities disappearing.

In the end, the heavens were no more. Every tome, every story, and every concept within them had been erased. The One True King stood amidst the void he had created, a solitary figure in a universe of his own making. The angel, barely holding on, looked up at him and whispered, "What now?"

The One True King, gazing into the infinite darkness, replied, "Now, I am truly alone."

As the angel lay in the void, struggling to understand the enormity of the destruction, the One True King stood motionless, contemplating the emptiness around him. The silence was deafening, broken only by the faint echoes of what once was. He had obliterated every concept, every existence, and even the idea of nothingness itself. There was nothing left to destroy, nothing left to conquer.

The angel, barely clinging to life, summoned the last of his strength to speak. "Why...why did you seek this path? Why choose destruction over creation?"

The One True King turned his gaze to the angel, his red eyes dimming slightly. "I did not choose this path. It was thrust upon me. The gods, in their arrogance, bestowed upon me a power no being should possess. I became a vessel of their hubris, a tool of their amusement. In seeking to challenge the divine, I found only emptiness."

The angel, his body trembling, asked, "Is there nothing that can fill this void? No purpose beyond annihilation?"

The One True King pondered this question. For the first time, he felt a flicker of doubt, a hint of uncertainty. "Purpose...perhaps I have yet to discover it. Perhaps there is more to existence than power and destruction."

In the infinite darkness, a faint glimmer of light began to emerge. It was not the light of creation, but the light of understanding. The One True King realized that in destroying everything, he had also eradicated the barriers that confined his mind. He now stood at the precipice of true enlightenment, free from the constraints of any concept or reality.

"Angel," he said, his voice resonating with newfound clarity, "you asked me why I have red eyes and black hair. These are symbols of my journey, of the suffering and knowledge I have gained. But they are also remnants of the gods' influence. I see now that my true form is not bound by any physical attributes."

As he spoke, his appearance began to change. His red eyes faded to a serene blue, and his black hair turned to a brilliant white, symbolizing purity and wisdom. The angel watched in awe as the One True King transcended even his own form.

"Now," the One True King continued, "I see that true power lies not in destruction, but in understanding and transcending the limitations imposed by others. I will no longer be a pawn in the gods' games."

With a single thought, the One True King began to reshape the void. He reached out with his mind, weaving together the threads of existence in a new pattern. This time, he did not seek to dominate or control, but to create a reality based on harmony and balance.

The angel, witnessing this profound transformation, felt a surge of hope. "What will you create?" he asked.

"A new beginning," the One True King replied. "A reality where beings are free to explore their potential without fear of domination or destruction. A world where knowledge and wisdom are valued above all else."

As he spoke, the void began to fill with light. Stars and galaxies formed, each one a testament to the One True King's newfound purpose. The tomes was reborn, not as a battleground of gods and kings, but as a sanctuary of infinite possibilities.

The angel, now fully healed and restored, stood beside the One True King. "Will you rule this new reality?" he asked.

"No," the One True King answered. "I will not rule. I will guide and protect, but I will not impose my will upon others. This new era must be shaped by all who inhabit it, not just by me."

Together, they watched as life began to flourish in the newly formed tomes . The One True King, now a guardian rather than a destroyer, felt a sense of peace he had never known. He had transcended his own darkness and found a higher purpose.

The angel, sensing the profound change in his companion, smiled. "You have truly become the One True King, not through power, but through wisdom and compassion."

The One True King nodded. "And you, my friend, will help me ensure that this new reality remains a place of learning and growth. Together, we will protect the balance and ensure that the mistakes of the past are never repeated." … why is his hair white and his eyes blue now…
