August 15th/ I.J.C. 195 / Stellar Research's colony. Siga-7 / Araya's POV
Yoha has changed, after the incident that day, Araya took her daughter to the hospital and had her treated. Fortunately, the piece of metal that was in her left arm did not destroy any major bloodline or nerve, but…it will leave a scar.
Of course, skin therapy would help with the scar, but Yoha firmly refuses it, saying it was best to leave the scar to remind her of the careless mistake.
Araya tried to convince her of course but…nothing will change her mind.
After that day, Yoha changed. She seemed more…cheerful, talked with others like a child should, and gained friends.
Every day, when she came home, instead of the usual round of coding to improve, she just sat with Araya, telling her of her day, how school, what she talked about, and how the homework and such.
She never talks about code or anything else in front of her anymore, Araya knows she still practices it…just not often enough, while things change have made Araya happy at first it also makes her worry, did her daughter force herself to do this?
"Mama? Did you just listen to what I just said?" Her daughter speaks up suddenly, breaking Araya out of her thoughts.
"Sorry, Mama got distracted. What did you say?" She asked.
"Mmmhhh, Mama is the worst. If it was Grandpa Kel he would pretend to listen and Grandma Judy would always listen tentatively, but you just straight up telling me you didn't listen!" Yoha pouted her little chubby cheek that still didn't escape the baby fat, it was honestly very cute.
The two round pink cheeks puff up like a little cotton, prompting Araya to pinch those little cheeks.
"Mama sorry, OK? Now don't be angry with me." Araya quickly apologized to her little squirrel, letting go of her hand, Yoha quickly touched her cheek up and rubbed them, probably a little hurt by her action.
"Ugh…that hurt! But! I will forgive you if you give me the offering of Pudding in the fridge!" She makes her demand, which Araya can't refuse, after all, she finally eats sweets again, because after her 3rd syndromes show up, she stops eating sweets.
"Alright, alright." Araya got up and went to get the pudding from the fridge. She bought a lot of them since Yoha started craving them again. Unbeknownst to her though, the smiling child just now, returned to an expressionless face while started muttering to herself.

"Mama's mood has been improving…just like you said." My heart started beating a bit faster as if to say that it was right. I don't know why, but when I listened to my heart, something good happened.
Whether I finish making Haro or make Mama Happy, something good will happen. But…it was tiring, listening to my peers gushing over things I didn't understand and pretending to know, learning things that did not interest me to continue to be in trend. Everything was so tiring.
Haro was finished, although I needed to do more testing but it was finished. Before I could finish thinking, mama came back with the Pudding, and I eagerly ate it without complaining.

"Alright, let's do this, let's see, battery check, OS system operate normally check, AI responding check, hm…what is more to check…ah. Nothing more to check, well let's start it up." As I entered the command, I could see the glow from the eye of this little Robot, when the eye turned bright green, it dimmed down toward normal green and then flapped its little wing.
[ Haro, Haro! ] Said the little robot as it popped out of the charger with a burst of air and then rolled on the ground, well it was as I imagined. I picked a surprisingly light body, the weight I calculated was around 4.5 kilos, which for how much stuff going on this, was quite surprising.
"Haro, console mode." I said, and just like what I wanted, Haro turned into a console as he opened up the front which is its face, and revealed a screen and keyboard for me to use.
"Mmmh, well, there is nothing wrong, everything is checked, hm. I am quite the genius isn't it." Chuckling to myself, I feel a sudden warmth from my chest. "Ah, I know, it's not just me but with your help." patting my chest, the warmth disappeared, indicating that it had gone away. I got up and picked Haro along with me.
When I got downstairs, I almost slipped since the floor had just gotten clean, but I caught myself easily. Well, it seems the cleaner really did a good job.
But that didn't apply to Haro since it just slipped away from my hand. When Haro was about to hit the ground, I saw something amazing. Using a burst of Air, he stopped himself from falling down and hit the floor hard to make a dent in it. Haro managed to shift its weight enough that when it fell on the floor, instead of a heavy crack, it just…softly landed and rolled around on it.
"Amazing…" Quickly jumping down the stairs, I put my hand down for Haro to roll toward me. I checked around for any dent or mark but there was nothing on his light green painting.
"Amazing, Amazing! I am quite the genius to be able to make you!" I cheer loudly as I raise him up in the air. Well, I didn't make his body but I do make his Mind so I'm gonna take the credit for it, after all. Without my genius, Haro wouldn't be able to perform something like that.
"Let go show Mama what an Amazing creation you are," I said as I put him down to my chest level.
[ Let's Show! Let's Show! ] Haro followed up with his cute robotic voice, seeing things, I could only continue to smile as I made my way toward Mama.

As Araya was busy heating up their lunch, she heard a loud step coming behind her, before she could fully turn around, her daughter, Yoha was already there along with that ball thing called Haro.
"Mama, look! I finished making him! Haro turned out very perfect!" She said as she put Haro out to me, and the little ball eye flashed for a second before it flapped its little hatch, let's call it the wings.
[ Haro! Haro! ] The little ball repeats its name in front of her, probably to greet them, since its name rhymes with Hello.
"Hello there, Haro was it? So, what can this little one do?" She asked Yoha who stood proudly while holding the ball in her arm, which is surprising from what Araya could see, the thing should be at least 5 kilos.
"Well, there are very many basic AI, but I was the one who trained it in NPL (Natural Language Processing) and Emotional Intelligence, since it needed to be formed from scratch I needed to mimic how Humans learn to talk and how it evolves from hand sign to such! What's more, throughout my continued work on AI, it was able to respond to almost everything perfectly! Although I would just respond with some basic language and often repeat itself. Well, there are also console modes that could connect to any device and boost their performance. It took a bit to figure out how to not interfere with the device's basic functions so it took me almost a month to do it. There is also…"
Yoha spoke fluidly without stopping, not stopping her mouth one bit before she finally finished explaining all the functions of this little Robot to her, all of which she already knew from looking over at the blueprint and studying Yoha coding, an impressive stuff, even for Araya's own standard.
When Yoha finishes explaining everything, she pants a little. "Well, how was it? Is he good?" She asked with a very sparkly eye, something which Araya hadn't seen for almost too long, almost 3 years…
"Y-yeah, you did a very good job, Yoha, you could win the award with this little guy." She patted her daughter's head, stopping the little tears she had in her ear. "Well, how about it, Yoha? Do you want to go to the park tomorrow? Mama has time off so I have been thinking of finding some place to have a mother and daughter time together."
Yoha's eye stopped moving for a moment and before she could even finish blinking, it was already returned to that bright shining eye again. "Really? Can I take Haro with me? I want to know if he would be able to handle a patch of grass or if it would interfere with his motor." Yoha asks, which makes Aray giggle a little bit.
"Of course you can. Well, maybe you can take this time to make more friends." Hearing my words, Yoha's eyes suddenly turned a bit dark, but in just a second it was gone. Is she…hallucinating?
"Yeah! I hope I can make more friends! Ah, what is that smell? Are you preparing lunch? Is it a burger? I smell a burger!" Yoha said as she put down Haro and approached the counter using the stepper.
[ Burger! Burger! ] Said Haro as suddenly, the bottom of his opened up, and with a loud burst of air, he was on top of the counter rolling next to Yoha.
Alright… She really needs to get used to that.
