POV: JACKSON
I noticed movements and noise inside my house when I got back from training. It was after 10 now and usually, by this time, Aunt cee and Beth would be done and left. They had their own key and locked the door. I went in, sniffing the air to at least pick up a scent but didn't. I entered the kitchen to find my older sister, Samantha there, stocking the fridge.
"Oh it's just you" I said taking some grapes and munching on them.
"What do you mean its just you?" She said quoting the air. "Aren't you happy to see your big sister, hmn?"
"You know it's not that. I couldn't pick your scent and I usually meet the house in silence when I get back from training." I replied.
"Aw, was my little baby brother scared"she said teasingly.
I scoffed. "I'm not sacred of anyone"
"Okay Mr big bad Alpha" she laughed. "I just came to stock up what I got for you"
My older sister Samantha is a beta. Her long black hair flowed to her waist, with her sliver eyes contrasting it. She is 29 years, older than me by three years. She is mated to Joshua, an omega, which was rare considering it was mostly the other way round.
My sister and her mate didn't care though. They loved each other so much. Fate wasn't on their side though because she couldn't get pregnant. Several pack doctor had come to check what was wrong but no positive results. Some concluded it was because Joshua was an omega and his sperm wasn't strong enough to get Samantha pregnant.
They were broken hearted but they got through it. They didn't adopt a child though, saying they were better off together.
"You okay?" I occasionally ask Samantha this just to let her know I was here for her. I would support any decision she makes. After all, we both lost our parents that day.
"I'm okay Jackson. You always ask me this. I'll tell you if anything is wrong. Really." She said like always.
"Alright then. I'll just shower and be off to work". I said preparing to head upstairs.
"I'm leaving now. I just came to drop by what I bought for you. Say hello to my favorite Nephew for me" she gave me a half hug and left.

Someone barged into my office and without looking up from the files, I knew it would be Chris. He's the only one that can do that.
"Back from your lovely vacation" I said signing some files. I have been approving and rejecting some financial decisions.
"Hardly one, I'm so damn exhausted. Going from one pack to another is so exhausting." He said stretching his arms. "I really need a long nap, like days types of sleep"
"Why don't you go home and rest. There's no work to do till Monday" I could confirm what he was saying because I had gone for this yearly mission before.
"Yeah but Lily would blow my head off. It's kareoke weekend and you know she loves to sing loudly in her room" he said laying his head on the table.
"Well Tom made a new friend, Blake. You know Sam's son right?" I asked and when he nodded I continued, "They're supposed to have a sleepover at my house on Saturday but I could extend it starting from today to Sunday evening. Lily would love to have fun with them" I suggested.
"That'll be great man. The house will be just Lynn and I" he said smiling widely. "Fantastic"
"It's for you to rest not to disturb the pack members and I" I said smiling.
" Sure, sure. That too" he said waving his hands in the air.
"That reminds me, what kept you up at the last pack?" I asked. The Alpha at that pack was a real jerk. I just hoped he didn't give Chris a hard time.
"Not really a big deal. The Alpha didn't want an omega and his mom to leave. What's his name, Saint" Chris said.
That made JJ ears perk up. What's with that reaction, I asked JJ. I'm not really sure, that name just excited me, He replied. What do you mean excited you? It's just a name. I told him. You're asking too many questions, I just told you I'm not really sure, he said and blocked me out.
JJ had lost a part of himself when he lost his mate. He was cheerful and outgoing when Anto was still alive. After her death, he was just....there. This was the first time since her death that he is excited. I think he's lonely since he doesn't have a mate again and Tom's wolf hasn't yet revealed himself. He lets all his anger on rogues. That's why I lose my mind when I'm dealing with them.
"Is something wrong? You've been quiet for a while" Chris brought me out of my thoughts.
"No,I'm fine. Just thinking about something. You should get some rest Chris. Tell Lynn I'd pick Lily up from school and take her to my house. I'll send someone to come fetch her things" I told Chris.
"Thanks man" he stood up. "Have fun with those little devils" he said walking out. By 'devils' he meant our children. And I fully support that.
By 2pm, I left to pick up the kids. They were excited for the sleepover. Whispering and giggling about all the things they would do. When we got home, they showered and Lily put on a dress she had left here from previous sleepovers.
The doorbell rang and I went to answer it. Evelyn and Blake stood there. I had called Sam to ask him if Blake could stay here from Friday till Sunday and he agreed.
"Good afternoon Sir," Blake greeted shyly. "Hi Blake, how are you?" . " Fine sir"
"Good afternoon Alpha. I hope the kids won't be too much trouble for you" Evelyn asked.
"No it's fine, Evelyn. The house needs to be lively once in a while. That's his bag?" I asked and she gave it to me.
"Yeah, his clothes, toothbrush and other things are inside" she told me and I nodded.
"If you need other help, please don't hesitate to call me" she said and I nodded once again. "Goodbye bye Alpha" she walked away.
I took Blake inside. When Tom saw him he ran and hugged him. " Blakey, you're here. Come let me show you to Lily, my other friend " Tom said taking his hand and urging him to follow. Blake complied.
"Lily Lily, meet Blakey, my new friend." Tom introduced.
Lily looked at him curiously as if inspecting him, then she whispered to Tom, "He's handsome" she giggled.That was hardly a whisper because I heard her and I'm sure Blake did as well.
Tom frowned. "Yeah but he's my friend. I want you to only be friends with him" Tom said and I laughed at their cuteness.
"Okay. Nice to meet you Blake" Lilly stretching her hands.
Blake took it, "Nice to meet you too Lily" he said shyly.
Come let's show you our toys". Lily said taking Blake's hand, who in turn took Tom's hands and they rushed to their playroom.
I sighed, it's going to be a loud weekend.
