They circled around the rocks for a while, searching for clues, and eventually discovered a narrow pathway leading underground. The entrance to the path was camouflaged with grass and bushes, as if someone had deliberately tried to conceal it. Ankit cautiously started descending, with his companion following close behind.
After some time, they found themselves in a massive underground facility. The place was filled with advanced technology and highly secured structures. It seemed to stretch for miles beneath the ground. Digital screens on the walls, intricate lighting systems, and people moving purposefully around showcased the sophistication of this hidden establishment.
As they moved further, a group of people came to greet them. Among them, a man dressed in simple clothes but exuding confidence stepped forward and said, "My name is Jack. I was the one who hacked your phone and sent the message."
Ankit became alert for a moment and asked in a firm tone, "Why have you brought us here? What do you want?"
Jack smiled and replied, "I can't answer your questions. You need to meet our leader. He will explain everything to you."
Jack gestured for them to follow him through a long corridor. Ankit and his companion walked behind him, observing the surroundings carefully. The corridor led deeper into the facility, revealing that this was clearly a highly confidential scientific institution.
After a while, they reached a large, state-of-the-art room. In the center of the room was a table, surrounded by large screens on all sides. Standing near the table was a man who seemed to be waiting for them. Jack gestured towards him and said, "This is Scientist Sonpolck, the leader here. He has been waiting specifically to meet you."
Sonpolck, a man with a serious expression but an aura of intelligence, looked at Ankit and his companion and said, "Welcome. I am Scientist Sonpolck. What you have seen so far is just the beginning. There is much more I need to show and explain to you."
Ankit continued talking with Sonpolck, trying to understand more about the purpose of this underground facility. Their conversation was interrupted when Jack entered the room and informed them that dinner was ready. Sonpolck invited Ankit and Kanika to join him for a meal.
As they sat together at the dining table, the atmosphere was calm but charged with a sense of mystery. The table was adorned with a variety of dishes, suggesting the facility's self-sufficiency. During the meal, Sonpolck glanced at Kanika and said with a faint smile, "You've taken quite a risk by trusting this young man so much, haven't you?"
Kanika, caught off guard, lowered her eyes and blushed slightly. She didn't say anything, but her shy smile revealed her growing trust and admiration for Ankit. Ankit noticed this but chose to focus on the conversation instead of delving into personal matters.
As the dinner progressed, Ankit began to learn more about the facility. Sonpolck explained, "This place is unlike anything you've seen above ground. Fighters from all over the world aspire to come here, but only a select few ever get the opportunity. Each fighter who enters faces a rival that matches or exceeds their strength. This is not just a test of physical power but also of mental endurance and strategy."
Ankit listened intently as Sonpolck continued, "This institution operates entirely out of the sight of governments and authorities. It's a sanctuary for those seeking to push the limits of human ability. Only a handful of people in the world even know of its existence."
The revelation intrigued Ankit. He had always sought challenges, but this was on an entirely different level. A place hidden from the world, attracting only the strongest and most skilled—it was a concept that stirred something within him.
As the meal ended, Ankit silently resolved to uncover more about this place, its purpose, and his role in it. He knew this was just the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
At 10 p.m., Sonpolck showed Ankit and Kanika their rooms. The rooms were luxurious, equipped with comfortable beds and modern amenities. Wishing them a good night, Sonpolck retired to his room. After a long day and a delicious meal, Ankit too enjoyed a deep and restful sleep.
The Next Morning
Ankit woke up early, feeling refreshed. His curiosity about the institute drove him to explore. He began wandering through the corridors quietly, observing the advanced technology and sophisticated structures. The place was as mysterious as it was impressive.
During his stroll, Jack noticed him and approached with a smile, "Sir, where are you heading?"
Ankit replied with a faint smile, "Oh, nowhere, just exploring."
Jack, in a playful tone, said, "If you keep roaming around like this, I might have to take action against you."
Ankit smirked and responded, "Then I might have to take action as well."
Hearing this, Jack laughed and said, "I was just joking, sir."
The Big Question
Ankit then directly asked, "Who is my opponent here?"
Jack's expression turned serious. He observed Ankit for a moment before replying, "Knowing the name of your opponent will surprise you."
Ankit, now both curious and slightly uneasy, insisted, "Tell me, who is it?"
Jack took a deep breath and revealed the name. As soon as Ankit heard it, he froze for a moment. His face reflected a mix of astonishment and a hint of anxiety.
