I looked around the place to see where I was, "is this really my hometown?" I asked myself. We advance through the neighborhood streets that was silent.
Looking up at the sky, the sun was just beginning to rise. The air was cool yet warm, the breeze feel just right. The streetlight illuminated the road to where our house was.
No wonder why it's so silent, everyone is sleeping and the morning setting were calm, especially when you're walking with a bunch of friends… and your parents.
Kim glanced over to his parents, "They must have stay up all night looking for me…"
The fact that they didn't ask me more questions on where I was or where my friends come from… they didn't want to burden me with their questions, they just wanted me to rest.
[Golden Child With Infinite Potential]. What a joke! All I am is useless and worthless child… a child that kept on making his parents worry about him.
The more Kim stop and thinks, the more negative thoughts pop up in his mind. His head was down, staring toward the grounds.
A soft tap was felt on my shoulder, I look up to see Vas Allen, his eye narrowed at my pitiful expression. "What's wrong?" He said.
I looked up and lock eyes with him, he didn't say anything afterwards, he simply waiting for my response. "Yea… I'm fine!" I faintly give a smile, though Vas Allen sees right through it.
"Your body language don't look fine… and why do you look so sad?" I don't know what to say to him, I didn't know how to answer his question, but he continued. "Just a few minutes ago, you was happy… happy to see your parents!"
"I don't know!" I said. "I don't know why I'm suddenly feeling this way…" Vas Allen had a look of concern on his face, Luc Mugen and the other caught glimpse of this.
"Kim?" Luc Mugen walk up to me and tugged on my arm. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked.
I slowly nodded my head, trying to not worry him. Uma Micheal didn't said anything, she just looked at Kim with concern. "Is something the matter?"
I turned my head toward my parents direction, my mom asked me that question. "No… it's okay, everything is okay!" I told her. A wave of emotions is stirring inside of Kim.
Vas Allen quickly told Kim's parents to take the two kids to their house first. At first Kim mother refuses, she finally able to see her son once again and now she have to leave… but after looking at Vas Allen face, she could tell that he thought of something.
Kim's mom was reluctant but nods at Vas Allen, Kim's dad, before he had the chance to speak, was instructed to take Luc Mugen hand and take him to their house.
Luc Mugen and Uma Micheal wanted to stay and help Kim but Vas Allen look told them that they need to go for a while. They both nodded in sync.
Kim's parent held onto Luc Mugen and Uma Micheal hand assuring that Kim was going to be fine.
After a moment of silent, it was just Kim and Vas Allen. Looking at Kim, Vas Allen asked him what's going on?
"I don't know…" Kim was shuddering, his body hugged itself.
Should I tell Vas Allen about the "Night Dreamer" and how this is an illusion? No… he probably an illusion as well…
Kim looked at his hand, it was shaking. His face trembling, it's not the facts that he worry about the "Night Dreamer" illusion but rather his own mental state.
Vas Allen stood there watching Kim trembling, he didn't know what to do to help his friend, but Kim utter something.
"I'm tired… of being a bad son… I'm tired of being a bad friend." Vas Allen didn't know what to said, but he knows that Kim wasn't like that.
"Kim you're not both of those thing!" Vas Allen said, Kim shakes his head.
"You don't know nothing… I left my parent in constant state of fear… that I had die!" Kim words was trembling. "I'm a horrible son!" He mutter, Vas Allen shakes his head.
"Kim! If you're so horrible, then why do you think they took the time to look for you?!" Kim slowly look at Vas Allen. "If you're so horribly, your parent won't even bother looking for you, but they did, they did it because they loved you, they loved you to death for them to not push questions onto you!"
"Where you been, who I am, who Luc Mugen is, and many more! But they didn't question you, they just accepted it and wait until you're ready to talk to them about it!"
Kim narrowed his eyes toward Vas Allen words, the words toward him wasn't pity but rather a sense of reassurance. The two was stuck in silence for a moment until Kim opened his mouth.
"Then tell me Vas… what should I do?" His eyes locked toward Vas Allen eyes. "What should I do?…"
Vas Allen sighed, "Kim… this isn't…" he didn't know what to say to Kim. "Vas… I'm worthless… I'm a fool!"
"Kim… don't say that. You're not-" Before Vas Allen could finish his sentence, Kim kneel down to grounds, looking up at the rising morning sun, he said.
"Vas… the feeling of regrets is lingering… I- I am a horrible son, they give me this name yet I couldn't uphold them… they give me this name because I would have infinite potentials… yet all I have is finite potential."
Vas Allen stared at Kim body, muttering his name under his breath, Kim continued.
"No… not even I have finite potential… I am simply and utterly worthless…"
Vas Allen stood there, he choose his words carefully but was straightforward about it. "Kim… where did all of this came from?"
"Just a moment ago, you were happy, smiling but now… you're just… I don't know." Vas Allen waited for Kim to response but he didn't.
Vas Allen also got down to his knee and just after he did that, Kim slowly opened his mouth, "Vas… I don't know! I don't know nothing!"
Vas Allen didn't know how to react to his respond, "Vas…" Vas Allen heard Kim calling out his name and continued to stared at Kim.
"I don't know where this wave of emotions is coming from but… I think I deserve it!"
"And why do you believe that?"
"Because I'm worthless…"
Vas Allen figures that this is going nowhere, they had gone in a full circle.
"Kim Mugen! Kim Mugen! KIM MUGEN!!! Kim Mugen…" Kim repeatedly shouted out his name. "What so special about that? Why did my parents choose that name?" He said.
Vas Allen peer over at Kim as he self pities himself. "Kim." Vas Allen called out for his name but he didn't reply, Kim just continued to self pity himself.
"KIM!!!" Vas Allen shouted in a anger tone, startling Kim but for a moment, Kim felt something or rather someone holding up his hand but when he check there was nobody.
Kim looked up at Vas Allen, they locked eyes once more, Kim could tell there wasn't any anger in his eyes even though Vas Allen raised his voice at him.
Kim could tell that Vas Allen had no malice nor ill intent, "Rather it was comfortable to look at." Kim thought.
"Kim. I don't know what's going on but something clearly wrong is going on with you!" Kim titled his head a little.
"Why do you think you deserve such sorrows emotions?"
"Kim I don't know what's going on but you brought up regrets… and how you're a horrible son." Kim patiently stood there with no movement, listening to Vas Allen.
"Kim I don't know what regrets you have but I do know one things, you're not horrible, that's for sure!"
"How would you know that…?" Kim said.
"Because if you're so horrible, your parents won't even bother looking for you! If you're so horrible, you wouldn't even be speaking to me right now!"
"If you're so horrible… then you wouldn't even be surrounded by love." Vas Allen froze for a bit, staring at Kim face, he let out a heartfelt smile.
"Kim, you probably don't realize it by now but you're surrounded by love, your surrounded by people who cares for you. Luc Mugen, Uma Micheal, Me, and your parents!"
Kim was the first one to break contact with Vas Allen eyes, he begin looking at his hand. Vas Allen continued.
"Kim… when regrets and negative thoughts linger in your minds, pay no attention to them!" Kim glanced back up at Vas Allen once more.
"Don't you know? Whatever you feed on your mind, that's what you become!"
Kim was speechless, he didn't know what to say but all he could responded was with tears dripping down his face.
"Kim. Believe in yourself more, just as much as we believe in you!" Vas Allen stood up from his position, he hold out his hand toward Kim, waiting for him to grab it.
Kim was wiping his tears away, with his right hand, he grab onto Vas Allen hands. The two help eachother from getting up.
Kim could feel something is wrong with Vas Allen, nor rather it's the opposite… Vas Allen was beaming with… well Vas Allen, he felt too real.
Kim swiftly brushed off the dust off his pant when he was kneeling down, he looked up to see Vas Allen zoned out.
Kim snap his finger in front of Vas Allen face, snapping him out of the zone.
"Thank you, Vas!" Kim said. Vas Allen nod his head, Kim stares at his eye, watches as the light from his eyes exhausted.
"Well Kim, are you feeling better now?" Vas Allen ask, Kim nodded his head.
"Ah I see… this isn't the same Vas Allen that was just here." Kim thought to himself. Vas Allen seeing Kim was zone into his thought, took a step foward catching Kim attention.
"Let's go to your home!" Vas Allen said. Kim smile softly, following behind Vas Allen.
"Is this real or is this fake? Because for a moment, it felt real…" Kim thought to himself. "Am I stuck in the "Night Dreamer" attack? At this point I don't even know myself."
Vas Allen while walking could see that something was troubling Kim, "Is something wrong?" He asked.
Kim shooks his head and told him everything was okay. "I guess even a moment as fake as this, could bring out even my realist emotions!"
The two of them continued to walk in the path toward Kim home's, as morning sunlight shine downwards toward them.
