A random cafe in violet city.
Noah took a huge chomp of his burger and looked at the fire bug sitting on his table looking back at him curiously.
It had a white mane and red leaves sticking out of it. It had blue eyes with a shadowy face.
'A larvesta huh? Was this intentional considering my homeland is unova or was it my luck?' Noah liked the cute bug and especially the menace it will be when it evolves.
'Seriously what was going on in gamefreak's head when they made it a rare pokemon instead of a legendary.' Noah and maybe Pokemon fans all over the world still has this question lingering in their mind.
He broke of a chunk from the burger and extended it towards the bug's mouth, which it happily gobbled down on.
'I hated bugs in my previous life but I think I can make an exception for this one.' He looked towards his other two pokemon.
Zubat munched on a mix of berries and it was quite messy. He looked exactly like what the pokedex entry described with all that red berry juice flowing out from the side of his mouth.
And lampent, well he was doing what he usually would do.
'Ghost-types don't need food and even if they did how am I supposed to feed it through his lamp head?' Noah was starting to suspect that his lampent may be a bit autistic.
'I mean he was normal when he was a litwick,
is he going through a phase or something.' Noah ofcourse will use his humourless jokes whenever he get's a chance.
'Now onto more important stuff.' He adjusted his glasses.
'I need to check out the gym and the bell tower.'
'Beating and obtaining a gym badge is a sign of strength and I can enter dangerous areas that normally aren't available for archeologist or fossil maniacs who are considered weak.'
'And for bell tower, I don't have a definite answer but I want to know if it's really a huge bellsprout or a complete hoax.'
'I will check out the gym first.' Noah wanted to have his very first pokemon battle to be against a gym leader.
'I mean it's a new world and all, the main thing here is pokemon battle and I don't wanna miss out on those things.'
'Being strong is also important in exploring the unknown.' With the final decision made he stood up and paid for his food.
He picked up his larvesta and stored it inside the pouch of his kangaskan hoodie.
It was brown in colour and had pictures of kangaskhan and baby kangaskhan around it.
Larvesta made itself comfortable and went to sleep.
'Saw it, liked it and bought it.' Noah still didn't understand why the cashier looked at him weirdly.

Violet city gym.
Noah looked at the 'elegant' blue-haired emo on the other side of the stage.
'Was it falkner or folkner? I remember him using flying types and his team consists of pidgies maybe?' He did not even bother researching on falkner.
"Alright let's start." Falkner said elegantly.
He sent out the hoothoot which was on his shoulder.
Noah took out his larvesta and threw it at the hoothoot.
"Larvesta string shot!"
Larvesta flew out like a canon ball and shot out a web-like string from it's mouth.
It caught onto Hoothoot's horn-like stuff and started swinging around the gym trying to wrap the hoothoot in it's string.
"Hoothoot fly into the air and used the string to smash it into the ground." Falkner said elegantly.
The hoothoot flew into the air and bit down on larvesta's string and swung it into the walls.
'My inteligence knows no bounds.' This went almost accordingly to Noah's calculation.
"Larvesta ember!"
A small wisp of flame shot out of larvesta's pointy leaf and caused the string to catch on fire.
It spread towards the hoothoot almost fully wrapped in the string.
Hoothoot wasn't quick enough to remove the string and the string was really sticky.
The flame reached and burned him until he fainted.
"That was.. an excellent strategy." Falkner complimented elegantly and recalled his hoothoot.
"Go dodrio." He sent out elegantly.
"Larvesta come back." Noah recalled back his third Pokemon.
Larvesta shot out a string and swung like spiderman towards Noah's pouch.
He landed perfectly inside the pouch and went back to his sleep.
"Go zubat." Noah sent out his eyeless bat.
The three heads of the dodrio looked above to see zubat flapping his wings while revealing his sharp fangs.
"Zuzuzzuzuzu." He seems to be laughing???
Noah wasn't sure but the weird laughter made him cringe.
The dodrio eyes sharpened and it shrieked at zubat in anger.
"Even if dodrio cannot fly he can still fight you in the air." Falkner was especially elegant today.
"Dodrio jump and use tri-attack."
The foe dodrio launched into air and used it's three heads to peck at zubat.
Zubat flew to the side to dodge it.
The dodrio came crashing into the ground because of gravity.
"Dodrio drill peck."
It did the same while zubat dodged again.
Again.
Again.
Again.
It did not stop even after falkner ordering it to stop.
His pride was hurt and he wasn't going to stop until he defeats this zubat.
Falkner held in his rage elegantly and did not lash out because his Pokemon did not listen to him.
It wasn't usually a huge deal unless you are a gym leader.
Noah on the other hand found the entire situation funny.
'But it's enough I still haven't checked out the bell tower.'
"Zubat poison fang."
Purple poison dripped out from zubat's mouth as he chomped at the dodrio.
The dodrio could not dodge since it was in the air.
And because the poison fang messed up his landing he crashed into the ground head first.
The dodrio fainted.
Falkner kept quiet and recalled back his pokemon.
"This is the last round so be prepared!" He shouted elegantly.
He released out his pidgeot which soared into the sky as soon as it was released.
"Go lampert." Noah sent out his first ever Pokemon.
Lampent wasn't in his pokeball but was spinning around in the dark corner of the gym.
"What's with the delay?" Noah muttered in confusion.
"You registered three pokemon to fight me,
they are larvesta, zubat and lampent respectively, you have gotten your Pokemon's name wrong which confused it." Falkner corrected Noah elegantly.
'Yeah, I am not good with names I almost got fried by larvesta's ember after I called him laverda.' Noah is academically smart but he is lacking in other areas.
"I see, lampent flash him."
Lampent hearing his name being called instant transmissioned behind the pidgeot while spinning.
"Do not turn around!" Falkner warned but was unfortunately late.
Curiosity kills the cat or should I say the bird.
The pidgeot turned to identify its enemy but it was it's biggest mistake.
The poor bird's eyes burned in pain seeing the fucking lighthouse spinning around rapidly.
"Flame burst."
An orb of flame appeared infront of lampent and he shot it towards the blinded bird.
The orb hit and bursted into flames and the pidgeot fell down towards the floor in defeat.
"That was a good match, the mix between your strategic mind and your Pokemon has earned yourself the Zephyr badge." Falkner recalled his Pokemon back elegantly.
"Thats too much, I should say you were more impressive and the way you battle is very elegant." It seems Falkner's elegance has spread onto Noah.
They both smiled elegantly and shaked hands.
Elegance was in the air.
And also lamper-, I mean lampent who was spinning in the air.
