"What?"
Although in the dark space, it felt as if Oliver's figure had indeed enlarged, he thought that his expansive growth was just a figment of his imagination too - not something that would actually affect him in the "real world."
What even am I? I look like those orbs except for an oversized mutant reject version of them. But I guess I should still be grateful that I even got a second chance to live in the first place. If it wasn't for my luck, I would be sitting in the belly of an otherworldly demon right now.
As Oliver started so more serious contemplation - still staring at his reflection, he didn't notice the trio of siblings that were crying earlier hear him speak to himself.
" Did you hear that, Frasia?" The smallest of the trio, the littlest girl elf, asked her big sister whether she had heard the loud shout, too.
" I did Anastasia, it sounded like it could be some type of intelligent beast. Both of you should be on your guard." As she said this the little boy Axel pulled a dagger out from his side. But the other two elves' actions were bewildering, since all they did was stand straight with their hands placed straight out in front of them.
"Come out beast!" "For this confrontation will be your last in life!"
Huh? How did I know what she said? Could it be that they speak the same languages as the ones from Earth?
Breaking out of his engrossment in his predicament, Oliver turned around to see the three silver-haired elves standing in defensive positions as if they were about to be attacked. Wondering if they could sense his presence, considering he was as tall as a tree; he imagined it wouldn't be too hard to do so.
Just as Oliver was about to respond with a formal greeting, an actual beast came stampeding out from the other end of the cemetery. It was a wolf, at least when it was alive because its body was covered in rotting flesh with cracked white bones. Its jaw was melting off and it had jagged sharp teeth identical to that of a shark's.
The beast stopped running once it got 10 meters away from Oliver and the elven trio. Its dead gaze struck past Oliver and landed right on the three siblings. As soon as the two parties locked eyes the zombie wolf beast once again started charging towards them. Once it was within twenty feet of the trio, Oliver witnessed a sight he thought he would never see.
"Ice magic: icicle bullet!" As soon as those words left the oldest elf's mouth a silver and blue magic circle appeared right in front of her hands, and from it shot a six-foot-long icicle bullet.
"Axel Now!" Frasia commanded her younger brother, and with those words, he shot out at lightning speed right behind the ice bullet. Once the bullet blasted from the group, in a time of about four seconds - the bullet went straight through the beast's chest and the boy followed up with a quick slash attack across its throat completely beheading it.
So not only does this world have fantasy races, it has magic and kids who could probably kill Earth's most ferocious animals twenty times over too! This world is fucking awesome.
Seeing though, that if Oliver approached the elves with his current appearance he would most likely be attacked; he decided against going up to them and decided to watch them from a distance. Even though he thinks he can't be seen by the naked eye, being too cautious is never a bad thing.
Standing from behind a nearby gravestone, Oliver observed the three siblings begin to make sure that there were no more threats nearby and turn to leave the burial ground.
Well, now I can say for sure that they definitely are related. I wonder what person they came here to visit.
Previously, Oliver tried to read what the gravestone the elves visited said, but the language of this world to him was a bunch of scribbles.
As the siblings made their exit. Oliver now intrigued by them, decided to keep following them and see what life was really like in this world.
As the big group left the graveyard, a sight of what the city outside looked like came into view. It seemed like this world wasn't that much behind Oliver's in terms of technology, because there were factories and train stations set outside. However, in terms of architecture, this world surpassed Earth since all the buildings had a more medieval royal feel to them.
The elves only walked about six blocks before they came to a 1 story house. It was painted green and it was in good shape. Oliver decided to follow them into the house once they entered cause well - who could stop him?
As soon as the elves entered the house they all went their separate ways with the oldest one going into the kitchen to cook, the youngest going to her room, and the middle child going to the bathroom to clean himself off.
It was about forty - five minutes before Frasia shouted for all of them to come into the dining room to eat. The food was bread with a side of soup. And even though the meal wasn't all that appealing, they still were thankful to have it.
Their lives really aren't all that different from mine. No parents and bread with soup as your main meal. Hell, the only real difference is that they just have a house with running water.
As Oliver stood over them and watched them eat, a loud forceful knock sounded at the door. When the oldest sibling went to the door and opened it, a loud smack resounded in the air for a moment. Hearing it the two siblings rushed over to where their sister was sitting on the ground crying and were about to start a fight but immediately got stopped when two flint guns were pointed straight at them.
At the door when Oliver turned to look there were three... humans.
Wow, that was disappointing. I thought it would at least be dwarves or something but I guess humans are gonna exist anywhere.
"Where the fuck is the money you little shit." The human in the front stood there with his arms crossed leaning in front of Frasia who was still on the ground with tears in her eyes. It should be noted that these humans have on knight's gear so Oliver wasn't quick to pick sides in this conflict just yet.
"Please give us one more day." The boy begged in front of his sister. "We needed time to visit our parents today cause today was the day since...." He trailed off as he stared down fighting back tears also.
"Does it look like we give a shit? You pay us for protection and once that monthly fee stops coming then you're going to really need some protection." The knight on the left with a flint gun sneered. "If you don't come up with the money in two days we're gonna come back and take one of ya'll with us as compensation.
"But that's not fair!" Finally, the youngest sibling joined the conversation but as soon as she voiced her concerns the knight on the right kicked her right in the stomach. Anastasia flew into the wall and was knocked into it hard falling unconscious, with blood trickling out her mouth at a steady speed.
As the two siblings were about to rise up and fight back they heard a low bone chilling voice. As soon as they heard it every person present froze with sweat trickling down the back of their necks. This was the first time in all of their lives when they heard something that didn't sound so inhuman.
"I've heard enough now."
Right when that one sentence was spoken a black and red light immediately enveloped the three knights. As it was swallowing them blood started gushing out from the bottom of it and screams of agony could be heard from inside it.
"PLEASE HELP ME. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PAY ANYMORE. JUST HELP ME. HELP M-"
Then all of the screaming abruptly stopped. Then, three corpses were thrown out of the dark light completely disfigured and shriveled.
As the two siblings watched this in horror the little boy named Axel completely vomited out his meal from before.
Holding her little brother, Frasia gathered up her courage and asked the main question in her brain. "What are you?"
Well seeing as that I'm in a fantasy world, I might as well live out my fantasies.
"I'm Your God"
