Rivana finished the last scoop of her ice cream, the smile still bright on her face. Azrael had even made sure to top it with a generous amount of colorful sprinkles—something she used to love as a child. He might have remembered it from the countless times she had bothered him to do so. But the gesture still warmed her heart, lighting up the childlike innocence she had lost long ago.
And was he really going to watch cartoons with her?! Rivana wondered with a silly smile, the spoon still in her mouth. Again, Azrael might be doing it just because of the earlier accident. But still, her heart couldn't stop feeling all giddy.
"Get a hold of yourself!" Her rational side chided, wanting her to act mature as they had barely been married for two days now. But Rivana couldn't help it, feeling the heavens had helped her to mend her long-broken relationship with him.
