"Boy, what are you doing in Asura Forest?" the captain asked, his brow furrowed in curiosity.
"Ah... where are my manners? I am Ethan Maxwell, a traveler from the countryside," Ethan replied, his gaze drifting to the side in an awkward manner.
"Have you registered with the Adventurer Guild? Can you show us your ID card?" the captain asked, still studying Ethan closely.
"Um... sir, I haven't registered with the guild yet," Ethan answered sheepishly.
"Okay, then come with us," the captain said as he walked toward a pile of goblin corpses. "I'll tell you about the Adventurer Guild and how you can earn coins by defeating monsters."
Ethan followed closely behind the captain as they arrived at the bodies of the goblins. The captain began cutting off the right ears of the monsters. After collecting them, he handed the ears to Ethan.
"Keep these. Once you register at the guild, you can exchange them for coins. It'll also help increase your Adventurer rank," the captain explained before walking ahead of Ethan.
"We'll change our location and recuperate. After that, we'll continue our journey," the captain added, addressing his knights.
Iris motioned for Ethan to join her in the carriage, and he followed her without hesitation. He then asked the system if it was okay for him to head toward the kingdom.
