When we say or talk about being chosen one, many people come into your mind, right? But for few, when they think about that, they think about themselves. And yes, it's the same for me. I think about myself when I think about chosen ones, and I am sure I'm one. My name is Tanya, I'm in 11th grade and the most beautiful girl in my class, or you can say school.
I like fashion and am always updated on it, and kind of foodie as well. Also, I like to play that game,Everyone is playing these days. TOF, or its full name, is Tales of Fantasy. Everyone was so invested in this game, that governments all around the globe decided to limit playing time to only 6 hours for normal players and special players, also known as paid members, who get paid by companies for playing this game, can play how much they want. These paid players are mostly rankers and some chosen developers and testers.
I can tell you a little more about the game. I guess. When you start playing this game, you customize your character as you wish for most of your physical appearance and nothing is restricted. Then you pick your race, either human, demon, angel or beast. Each race has some merits and demerits. But the thing that makes this game unique is its special skill system. You are given one passive and one active skill at random. You can keep resetting it in the creating menu until you find the desired skill combination. But once you create it, you are stuck with it for the rest of your life in the game. I manage to acquire quite good skills too.

The user is able to channel wind, bend its direction and launch a wind blast.
Well, these are my two skills, and they have been quite handy for me from time to time. Making me a good damage dealer and great at taking huge blows without fearing anything. Indeed, chosen one, right? I have been trying so hard to get the status of paid member as soon as possible, but it's so far away from grasp right now.
I think I might be the best in my class, but there is one more girl named Maya. She is one of the greatest performers in our class. She is also a motivated person to be a paid member. Then we have Diya, another great player, but she uses most of the heal skills, and is a great support for our class team. Huh, with all these girls, I don't deserve the attention which is needed, not as a player's point of view nor as a woman. Our class is filled with pretty hot boys too. For example, Jatin is so tall, well-mannered and handsome. To top up with, he has such a great personality. Karan, he is so reliable and the first one to help when you need something. Keshav, hmm I would say he has good looks, but he doesn't talk alot. More like he doesn't even talk anymore. It used to be different before in middle school, though, well, people change, I guess, but in terms of looks, he outshines everyone in class, but not in personality. And then there is Rahul, the talk of class. Always ready to take charge and he makes a good leader too. A strong, independent guy who doesn't leave anyone behind on anything. Phew, enough talking about them.
With all this murmuring going on in class right now, I can't focus.
Tak...tak Rahul tapped chalk on the board, wanting everyone to focus on him, "Everyone, can I have your attention", he said. Pointing towards the writing on the board,
"The Mist Forest Quest"
Rahul said, "Well, we all know what event is going on currently in TOF. The mist forest and maybe this is the best time for us to grab some good loot with our combined efforts."
Everyone in class suspended their activity to hear what he had to say. All that murmuring came to an end.
"Well, it's first time we have seen an exploration quest for a special class event. This might be time or maybe developers want a newbie to stand a chance to get good gear too. With all of us we can pull this off" Rahul spoke confidently, mesmerizing the whole class with his words.
"Hmm so rahul, when was the last time we didn't attend an S-class event?" Maya asked him.
Rahul chuckled, brushing his hair with his hand, "Well, if you put it like that, we always do" Everyone in class gave a follow up laugh.

[Mist Forest]
According to legends, once there was a glorious kingdom Hidden beneath the forest of Mist. Non-living ever knew how that kingdom looked? People in search never found it and those who found it never returned.

"Seems like we have to do some Sherlock Holmes stuff, haha" said Rahul.
"But Rahul, we can only have four players in one team, you know. How is the whole class going to be together?" asked Jatin.
"Hmm you made some good points Jat, so we are gonna make a party of four and stay up close via group voice call in chatapp" suggested Rahul.
"That works, I guess, but how should we decide a team?" Maya said.
"Well then everyone, gather a group of your four close friends, and if you are having trouble we are gonna resolve it by making some adjustments" spoke Rahul.
Everyone in class started talking about themselves, deciding teams and who they wanted to be with and there was my chance to ask Rahul to get in his team.
"Hey Rahul, is your team full?" Tanya asked, when Rahul was having a chat with Maya and Jatin.
He paused, then looked at Maya. "Well, strong players should make a team of their own, so it's well-balanced." Jatin agreed, nodding.
"Yes Tanya, I can let you on my team", he paused and looked around. "So me, Tanya, Sheena and hmmm... hey Keshav, you want to join us?"
Keshav didn't give a reaction, he was glancing outside the window as he spoke" No".

We planned to meet at the Royal Cafe in east central. Almost everyone was there, having a party and buying accessories.
"Everyone, please give your attention to me". Rahul clapped his hands once. Making hand signs to focus attention on himself.
"So we are gathered here for one reason, and which is solely to defeat this new quest and come out victorious."
Everyone started clapping, as he spoke "with this plan we are bound to win, because teamwork is dream work. And now everyone, please go there to a specific party."

"Hello Sliver knight, or should I call you Rahul" Tanya said in a mocking way.
"Well, anything is fine, Anya."
My in-game name is Anya, where Rahul's is Silver knight. For fighting I might need some buffs, but I don't know much around central. Since I'm from the western part of the continent, So the thing is, we get to choose from four empires. Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern. Each of them have specific qualities, and at the center of these lies central. It isn't part of any empire but its center for most trade and stuff. Even housing costs alot here.
Walking down the always, not knowing where she was going. She just walked and stumbled upon a guy's back.
"Ouch"
That guy wearing a long black coat looked at her. She wasn't able to get a clear look at him. He had black hair.
"Hey, can you tell me where I could buy some buff?" Anya asked.
"Hmm.if you go straight from here and turn right after second left you'll find snowside named Tavern, you may find what you like there" he said and walked away.
As he directed her, she followed his instructions and found, Snowside. She pushed the door in.
"Tring", the bell connected to the door rang.
"Welcome, how may we help you miss" a beautiful lady with green hair wearing the same type of black outfit as that man greeted her. Her outfit was like a female version of those clothes.
Anya walked slowly looking around the tavern, all those rare buffs and potions on self. And she sat down near that bartender.
"What would you like, miss?" the Lady on the other side of the counter asked.
"Is this place super expensive?" Anya asked.
"No mam, we charge the same price as every other tavern here. What would you wish to order, Mam?"
"Hmm. Can I have an instant healing potion, some movement boosting herb and hybrid potion", Anya said.
"Very well."
The lady prepared everything for her and gave it to her. After collecting everything, she paid the bill and went out of the tavern.
"Snowside sure is fancy."
After that, she regrouped with Rahul and others to start the quest.

A dark forest, covered with a thick mist all around, pretty hard to see which way to go. Navigation will be a problem here.
"Everyone here" Silver knight shouted.
"Yes" everyone together.
"Then let's march to the left side", Silver Knight said.
Little did they know which left? In that thick Mist no one was able to see each other except the party members due to the icon above. And from there everyone went their left. A huge crowd which was once united started walking in different directions, and lost each other in that mist.
Days passed, one after another. The number of people in quest kept decreasing drastically as it crossed the 4 day mark. Until, 5th day, only a few hundred were left. People were becoming hopeless only seeing mist around them, nothing to loot, everything was empty not even a single mob was around. Until the 6th day, mist started to clear up, visibility was more clearer.
"Rahul, how long do we have to walk more?" Anya asked.
"I guess we are close", Silver Knight replied.
Step by step, one step at a time, they walked and finally the forest came to an end. And a huge plain field was ahead of them, in the center there was a temple and in front of the temple there was some creature standing which appeared small.
Everyone in the party started running towards the temple. But they weren't alone. Many players from all sides were rushing in and fighting each other to reach the temple first.
The Silver knight ran tremendously fast, but as they got close to the temple, it started to appear bigger and bigger. Not only temple was getting bigger, but the creature too.

"What the hell", the Silver knight yelled as an arrow from a player pierced his chest plate.

"Hell" he pulled out the arrow and charged his sword towards the monster, "I won't go without the prize"
I was there witnessing his bravery, as it gave me confidence to charge him. The monster which appeared small was actually 100 meters tall.
The monster swung his huge sword, which wiped out everyone in a 20 meter radius.

Players whose hp was high enough were thrown miles away. Luckily for me, I took the hit from the left side. Which helped me nullify the damage from his sword, but the fall damage took most of my hp. I was unable to move from the impact . My vision was getting lower as I crawled towards the monster.
A bright green light a few hundred meters away on the left side lit the area bright. I only heard someone's scream which said "God killer", I suppose.
A powerful arrow struck the monster with a high impact, making it tumble.

It did take out huge hp from a monster but wasn't able to kill it.
I shouldn't stop, I need to move to prove to Rahul I am worth and I am the chosen one. "I can't stop", she started crying, beating the ground.
*baaam* someone came crashing towards her and got hit from the tree next to her. He got up and started walking toward the monster again.
"Save me!! " Anya said hopefully, looking at the boy in front of her.
"Save me please."
"You mean me?" He turned around, a fair tall guy wearing a long black coat. Eyes bright red as blood, white hair all waving down.
"Help me! I can't die here" she said in the uncertainty of loss.
"Hmmm. Are you uncertain? Will you die or not?" he asked.
"Of course I'm. Why would I be asking you for help if I wasn't," Anya said and started crying.
"Hmm, well, let me do you a favour, I guess. I should turn that uncertainty into surety."
"How????"
"By looting you when you die, HAHHAHAHAHAHA" his laugh echoed in that forest.
