Maya!
Maya!.. Wake up
Maya!
As I opened my eyes, the image started to clear up in front of me, "Mother" I said. That hazy sight of a middle-aged woman in front of me reminded me of my mom.
"It's your aunt. Now wake up. It's about time you went to school" she walked aways saying that.
"Mother, I guess I still do miss her" she extended her hand in front, "this ceiling must be laughing at me."
Maya got up, removed her headset and controllers from her body, and she was ready to start her day.
I'm Maya, a 17-year-old high school student. Top of my class in academics and may be the best TOF player too. But this best isn't enough for me. I want to reach out and be one of the best in the world, and someday I will be able to fight with Shindo Ken, the one I always idolize. The true hero maybe in my eyes, maybe he is the chosen one. He ranks 7th in the leaderboard. I don't know what happened in the last king's event I know his opponent wasn't able to defeat him. In the end, he wasn't able to reach the castle on the time limit due to his last fight.
Tak...tak Rahul tapped chalk on the board, wanting everyone to focus on him, "Everyone, can I have your attention," he said. Pointing towards the writing on the board,
"The Mist Forest Quest"
Rahul said, "Well, we all know what event is going on currently in TOF. The mist forest and maybe this is the best time for us to grab some good loot with our combined efforts."
Everyone in class suspended their activity to hear what he had to say.
"Well, it's the first time we have seen an exploration quest for a special class event. This might be time or maybe developers want newbies to stand a chance to get good gear too. With all of us we can pull this off", Rahul spoke confidently, mesmerizing the whole class with his words.
"Hmm so rahul, when was the last time we didn't attend an S-class event?" I asked him.
Rahul chuckled, brushing his hair with his hand, "Well, if you put it like that, we always do" Everyone in class gave a follow-up laugh.
Well, it's not a bad idea for us to stick together. Maybe we can actually achieve something this time. Well, I hope they don't slow me down much. I should pair up with Rahul to form a strong team. That way I will be able to at least play to my full potential.
"Hey Rahul", Maya waved and walked towards him.
"What Maya?" He asked softly.
"I think we should team up, at least we both will both be strong enough to defeat whatever comes our way" Maya said.
Jatin came walking, "sup what's going on you Two."
"Nothing much, just deciding team" maya said.
"Yes, deciding the best composition" said Rahul.
"Hey Rahul, is your team full?" Tanya interrupted them.
Rahul paused, then looked at Maya. "Well, strong players should make a team of their own, so it's well-balanced." Jatin agreed, nodding.
"Yes Tanya, I can let you be on my team", he paused and looked around. "So me, Tanya, Sheena and hmmm... hey Keshav, you want to join us?"
Keshav didn't give a reaction, he was glancing outside the window as he spoke" No".
"Hey, Maya care to join me on an errand?" Jatin asked.
"What is it?" She asked him.
"Just come with me", he took her hand and dragged her out of class.
"Sheesh, where are we going Jatin,"
"Shuu just watch"
As they peaked through the door, Tanya and Rahul were talking
"So, the rumor is Tanya likes Rahul, so it's better we give them some alone time" said Jatin.
"Oh that's the case."
"Yup, and for a team, you could join mine", Jatin asked her.
"Nah, like Rahul said, strong should make their own team", Maya replied.
"Oh yeah, too bad we can't be in the same team."
"Haha, yeah maybe next time Jat" she said, smiling.
All of that was a lie. I really wanted him to join me but, I couldn't be selfish enough to do it, and there's that guy Keshav, rejecting Rahul's offer like nothing. But I can't lean on anyone. I'm the strongest in my class, but I know I panic alot. Maybe the pressure to be stronger holds me back.

Everyone, please give your attention to me". Rahul clapped his hands once. Making hand signs to focus attention on himself.
"So we are gathered here for one reason, and which is solely to defeat this new quest and come out victorious."
Everyone started clapping, as he spoke "with this plan we are bound to win, because teamwork is dream work. And now everyone, please go there to a specific party."
Hush, time to get settled. Maybe I forgot to tell you about my skills. I have a decent skill set.
[Passive :Water soul (Cd - 0)]
Users can switch between water damage and physical damage at will.
[Skill : Berserk (Cd - 3)]
It is dealt 230% damage to. This attack will pierce the target and deal 200% damage to the enemy behind it. It inflicts bleeding that will deal 2% damage overtime for 5 seconds every 1 second. Slowing the enemy for 0.7 seconds.
I can inflict crazy damage over time. I wish I had a great tank to support me. I wish, but I have known from experience by now. If I want to get better, I have to walk the path together with a good team. Together we can grow better.
She walked toward the counter of the Royal café and sat in front of it.
"Can I have a focus potion?" She asked.
"Of course, mam," said the shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper brought the potion and gave it to her. She chuged it in one go. "Another" she said as she slammed the bottle on the table.
The shopkeeper saw her in shock, as consuming many focus potions can have side effects and make you dizzy instead. The shopkeeper gave her a second, she drank and asked for more. Maybe she was worried, worried about what? Reputation to keep can be the only answer. A hand reached out to her from the next seat,
"Listen, you don't have to" said the man sitting next to her.
"Who are you? She asked, dizziness got her, as she spoke "your silky black hair..." and passed out.
When I woke up, it was almost time for us to gather to start our quest. I asked the shopkeeper for a bill. But he said it was already cleared by the person who was sitting next to me.
"What was his name?" I asked.
"Mam, he told us to tell you not to bother about bill" said the shopkeeper.
"What's his name then?" I asked him again.
"That I can't tell you. He insisted that we don't give you his name."
In the end, I wasn't able to know who he was. That silky black hair and his piercing red eyes are all that I remember now.

[Teleporting: Mist forest]
[Mist Forest]
Mist everywhere making it hard to keep track of anyone. The only people I can see are my party members due to their indicator on top.
"Everyone here" Silver knight shouted.
"Yes" everyone together.
"Then let's march to the left side", Silver Knight said.
"But whose left?" Maya shouted, but no one gave any reply to her, even her own party members started going different direction.
"Listen guys, look where you are going... guys!!!!" She shouted again, yet no response.
If they went too far, I wouldn't be able to see these indicators either. What should I do? Which way should I go?
She sat there crying, but she didn't lose hope. She walked, she ran, but most importantly she never lost hope that she wouldn't do it. Even with no one around, she came online daily, walked, ran and cried when she felt lost, until day 6. The mist started clearing up and things were visible, that gave her courage to walk, walk towards her dreams. After walking for a while, she saw a forest, with a huge plain field up ahead of it and in the plain center was a temple, and in front of that stood a huge monster. People were running from all directions, thinking it was some small monster, but Maya had a clearer view. Being a marksman for so long, she knew it wasn't a small monster, it was huge.
Silver Knight and his team charged, running towards the monster.
"Stop Rahuuuuulllll" she shouted as loudly as she could. But it didn't reach him.
Only if I could do something to save him... think Maya think... Yes I know.
She drew her bow and aimed towards him, "Hope you know Rahul". She shot towards him.
The arrow launched towards him, was deflected by another arrow coming from the far right, and that other arrow hit Silver Knight.
"What the hell", the Silver knight yelled as an arrow from a player pierced his chest plate.
[Silver knight]
[HP : 6531 / 8000]
Swish... the swing of the monster's huge sword eliminated the whole party, or as she thought. She rushed towards that side of the map, and nothing was there. They have already respawned.
[Monster: Legend of mist]
[Type: Fire]
[Hp: 5,000,000,000]
While running towards her friend, she came directly under Monster's range. She stood in front of him staring into his eyes.
"Rawaaarrrrrrr" the monster roared, as she drew her bow.
"I'll kill you for my friends."
The Monster slammed the ground with his sword, making a shockwave, throwing Maya back far away.
[Maya]
[HP : 1443 /7400]
"The heck is that damage? It took almost eighty percent of my hp. I might die soon."
The Monster roared, pulling his sword back to generate force.
A vibrant green light next to me, a beautiful vibrant green light, beautiful yet vigorous.
"I guess it's an end for me" as she closed her eyes.
"Fill the arrow in my bow with relentless power, taking vengeance on the fallen and annihilating the one who should, the power of God to kill who should be"
"God Killllleeeeerrrrrrr..." a girl screamed.
A vibrant green arrow with tremendous power, flew with high velocity towards the monster.
That powerful arrow struck the monster with a high impact, making it tumble.
[Monster HP: 3,550,000,000]
It did take out huge hp from a monster but wasn't able to kill it.
A girl rushed towards her,
"Are you okay?" She asked Maya.
"I think, thank you" Maya said.
"Hush don't thank me, thank him" she pointed towards Monster.
A player was fighting it, so high paced his movement couldn't be traced by naked eyes. All you could see was Monsters hp melting. But it didn't last long.
The monster arm came flying towards us, and there wasn't enough time for us to get out of here. I passed out before it could hit me, but I wonder" Who's that knight?"
