Chapter -111.
"Harry, this statue is built based on my Aunt lily, Uncle James, and you. These two are your parents." Dudley said as he patted Harry, who was staring blankly at the statue.
Before heading to the Potter family old home, Dudley took the two to the cemetery next to the small church in the village.
The people who passed away in Godric's Hollow are buried here, whether they are wizards or ordinary people. Even if their identities were vastly different in life, in death, they are the same—just a handful of earth.
Death treats everyone equally.
The three arrived at one of the tombstones.
The tombstone bore a thought-provoking epitaph—"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."
This is the resting place of the Potter couple.
A bouquet of flowers had already been placed in front of the tombstone, clearly indicating that someone had come to pay their respects before them. The bouquet consisted of carnations, hyacinths, and chrysanthemums, all of which symbolize regret and repentance.
However, the placement of the flowers was rather strange, not in the center but off to one side. In fact, it wasn't just the flowers that were odd; one side of the tombstone with the flowers was spotless, while the other side was covered in dust, as if the person who came only wanted to pay respects to one of the couple.
It was all too obvious who had done this.
Dudley knew well and placed the white flowers he had prepared in the center of the tombstone.
"Aunt Lily was truly great," Dudley said.
Lily sacrificed her life to protect her child and successfully led the downfall Voldemort.
No matter how you look at it, she was a great mother.
Without Aunt Lily's sacrifice, Voldemort would not have died. If Voldemort were still alive, perhaps it would be fine elsewhere, but for ordinary people living in England, it would be a disaster.
In fact, Dudley had long wanted to come here. He believed Harry needed to pay respects to his parents; it was his duty her a son.
"Harry, let's come back to visit every once in a while." Dudley said, patting Harry's shoulder.
Since arriving at Godric's Hollow, Harry had been in a daze, not even noticing the details on the tombstone. Hermione had noticed this, but clearly, now was not the time to talk about that; she just looked at the bouquet of flowers, lost in thought.
Leaving the cemetery, Harry's expression finally returned to some semblance of normalcy; after all, he was just a boy about to turn twelve.
"Let's go, Harry. We'll take a look at your house."
"From now on, you'll be the head of the Potter family." Dudley said this, but he was thinking about something else.
Currently, Harry was the most legitimate and only heir of the Potter family. It was said that the Potters had made their fortune selling shampoo, and his uncle—James Potter—didn't work after graduating, yet was very wealthy because of this. [Lily and james both were auror i think]
But by the time it came to Harry, aside from a vault full of galleons, there was nothing left.
So the question arose: what about the other properties of the Potter family?
Those galleons in the vault might fool Harry, but there was no way to keep it from Dudley.
He had to find out for sure; Dudley was not to be underestimated.
The three of them crossed a lawn and arrived at the outskirts of the village, where the old Potter house was located. It was a rundown building covered in ivy.
Yes, it could indeed be called a dangerous building. Although most parts were still intact, the right side of the top floor had been blown to bits, and the house was severely damaged. Moreover, it had not been maintained for a long time, and the protective charm had faded.
Overall, it looked no different from an ordinary haunted house.
Harry looked at the house with some disappointment; despite its significance, it was simply too dilapidated.
Let alone living in it, it was a miracle it hadn't collapsed.
Dudley stretched his body: "Looks like we have some work ahead."
Harry heard Dudley's words and suddenly turned around: "Dudley, you're not thinking of…" He had a rough idea of what Dudley wanted to do and felt a flicker of anticipation.
"Exactly."
With his crafting and renovation skills, Dudley generously invested experience points into these life skills.
"Repairing this house?" Hermione quickly asked after learning Dudley's plan. "Can I stay too?"
Although she was already a little witch, she had never actually lived in a wizard's house and was filled with curiosity about it.
"Of course, but before that, we need to let Uncle and Aunt Granger know."
Thus, for the next week, the three of them set up camp near the old Potter house.
Tents, sleeping bags, and even cooking pots—Dudley's bag was like a warehouse, almost having everything.
If it weren't for the limited capacity of the bag, Hermione suspected he would have stuffed an entire house inside.
'Alright, I'll get Dudley a bigger bag for his next birthday.'
This bag was made by Hermione when she first learned the Undetectable Extension Charm, and now she could make larger ones.
Repairing the old house was not particularly difficult for Dudley; it just required enough time.
However, the whole process still encountered some obstacles.
These obstacles did not come from other wizards but from a group of small magical creatures.
These were creatures that liked to inhabit wizard residences—goblins living in the yard and pixies occupying the rooms.
Let's not mention the goblins, who loved to dig holes near wizard homes; in short, it was quite disgusting.
Pixies were even worse than goblins; these things, also known as biting fairies, were level 3 magical creatures. They had human-like bodies but were very small, covered in thick black fur, and had two extra arms and two legs.
The key point was that these creatures had two rows of sharp poisonous teeth, and their venom was quite potent, capable of laying five hundred eggs at a time, hatching in just two to three weeks.
These disgusting magical creatures seemed to see Dudley and the others as intruders, constantly attacking them and hindering Dudley's repair work.
Fortunately, neither the goblins nor the pixies could break through Dudley's defenses. Hermione used a lot of goblin and pixie spray, and Dudley even made a special container to trap these goblins and pixies.
In fact, aside from these two types of magical creatures, the old Potter house was also home to some Puffskeins. However, these magical creatures were relatively gentle, enjoyed scavenging, were easy to care for, and looked quite adorable, so they were not treated roughly but were allowed to stay.
A week passed, and Dudley had already repaired many areas; although there were still many spots to improve, it was livable.
Carlo arrived as promised and signed a contract with Dudley in Godric's Hollow, finalizing the last details of their cooperation.
About two weeks later,
a phenomenon-level game that swept the wizarding world was launched.
It became an instant hit.
It captured the hearts of people of all ages.
The name of this game was—'Witcher Card'.
