[Challenge Tasks: Wreck havoc, devour everything and escape]
[Challenge Rank: Death]
Eugene didn't see all that but the little cub saw that and understood it well. The rank of the challenge didn't scare it one bit but only excited it.
If a First Challenge wasn't about life and death then one future potential can be questionable.
One needed a robust foundation in order to really live a life of safety to a degree.
But one thing that made the lion feel happier was the devour part.
Anywhere a beast saw devour in a challenge, it meant an endless food that would provide it with absolute growth and development.
The little miracle lion cub growled and its body flashed away and appeared to be falling down.
To a degree, the cub and Eugene share the same ideas, and things that excited one excited the other. Things that Eugene normally knows, the lion knows too.
Especially the knowledge of the realms and their danger.
The cub knew where they were going, it knew it's the most dangerous realm the humans, beasts and monsters ever get access to.
That was why the rank wasn't Hard or Calamity but Death. It means that one has literally 90% chance of death and only 10% of surviving.
Aaron came here and became more of a monster he was, carrying with him secrets that not even the Ascendent knew.
To truly understand the danger of this place, one needed to know that even Ascendent died here like flies.
Every realm found across multiple unknown dimensions was Infer and believed to be for conquest and many have been conquered and many more are about to be, but this realm.
It's absolutely impossible to conquer and not even a madman will dare thought of it.
No matter how much of a monster genius you are, if you desire to find your match and your greater, just come here.
The realm has no official name from any Gateways but people will just have one world when they see it…
The Being
The little lion was falling, air slapping its body from everywhere but its eyes were closed and trying to calm its raging fear.
It took a deep breath and looked up and stared at the realm.
It was magnificent, no amount of praise can describe it.
A humanoid being standing, its leg at the depth floor of the sea in and its multiple hands spread aside each making a different sign.
Any onlooker will only know that it has many hands but no one can say how many.
Its chin was up a bit, face hazy but one comprehend it was gazing at heaven itself.
But for everyone, the head was the end of the heaven that one can gaze at, there is no heaven above for everyone.
The being was also draped in multiple long rectangular fabric that constantly swayed in the wind, wrapping in various locations, making The Being more majestic and more dignified.
This realm is the only thing more magnificent than Gateways in human eyes..
The little lion cub was able to stare at it for literally 14 minutes which was higher than most.
Even Aaron was only able to stare for only 5 minutes as many like him.
The moment the lion reached 14 minutes of stare, its vision vanished and found itself inside a corner of a room.
[Challenge Tasks: Wreck harbour, devour everything and escape]
It was a corridor that had only one pass. The place was dark but with dust that glowed on the walls.
The walls seemed like wood but when struck they felt like dull semi dried clay. But despite that they are extremely hard.
Eugene expected to find from the Black Book a detailed map and description of the inside of the realm, and also what to expect based on what Aaron has experienced.
Though, going into the realm will always land you in different locations than others but there are basic guidelines that one can follow and achieve what others achieved.
Aaron did say that he had a full guide that can aid everyone around The Being and also achieve great things.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, the Black Book was just a message to Eugene and nothing in that suggested a guide.
Certainly, Aaron doesn't want even his brother to get the guide since even the Family Head was denied it.
The lion didn't care about all that, it felt that Eugene was still alive but in a weird situation, so all it should was to do what that task said.
It stood on all four, its body now like a young adult lion, but there was something strange about itself. It looked down and the lion saw its shadow, it wasn't his, but a beast with a flathead.
Immediately, the memories of what happened to Eugenea in the Blind Sanctity Realm flooded its mind.
It understand some of it and came to the conclusion, Eugenea managed to survive a new realm and came back with another beast.
This angered it and it wanted to lash away when it felt its body was about to split, and if that happened, Eugenea would die.
This feeling was real, it must hold on, not lashed out, if Eugenea was alive now, then he was barely holding on and any dissonance will make everything crumble.
Despite the pride of the lion, it calmed down and closed its eyes.
From a dust covered ground that glowed, a bulge came, a creature that didn't have form began to struggle to come out.
Also somehow the paw skin of the lion began to merge with the floor.
Once you are inside The Being, then you must always be moving or using special tools to stand on, or you will merge with it.
The rate of merging is the same as everyone, no matter the strength, just like gravity that pulls things with different weights at the same time.
But the merging of another will allow another that maintains its consciousness to emerge .
The lion wasn't having it and pounced which made it leave a layer of its skin on the floor, it winced in pain before it clasped its fangs on the emerging creature.
Crunch!
It felt like consuming a fragile stone but the moment the fragments touched saliva, it melted and streamed inside the stomach and fast digestion took effect.
[You have devour a critter]
This sounded like a lullaby to the lion and it ran outside the corridor, carried by its instinct. It can already smell more critters nearby.
[You have devour a critter]
[You have devour a critter]
The more it devoured the more it felt its stomach loosen a bit and could take more.
A critter was just a bulge form when a creature assimilated inside the The Being. The remnants of their existence has not been completely digested.
They were basically harmless to a moving target, but if the target was unconscious, the bulge would try to consume it and then grow to become a new monster.
That happened rarely though.
It didn't move long before it saw something, not a bulge, but an actual monster, bouncing on the ground, as if trying to avoid touching the ground for the longest time.
Its appearance was that of a ball but with a sharp thorn surface and when it was about to bounce again, a single appendage came out and slammed the ground.
Sensing the lion, it bounced toward it, the ball cracked and maw appeared with a scattered rock like teeth.
The lion was amused, the thing was just so small that when it was close, the lion opened its mouth and just swallowed it whole.
It was even smaller than the critters…
[You have devoured a Cretin]
There was a change in what if felt, this cretin has more weight in it.
The lion pounced ahead, on the way more cretins appeared but in different sizes.
The cretins are just better critters but they always lose their body parts as they bounce. So when a cretin was too small it allowed another cretin to consume it.
The lion also noticed something, there were corridors that were filled with more cretins and some were less.
This told it, the path that has more cretin might be something good. Then it followed that way, devouring everything it could.
The lion has grown to a full size, but it has no mane, it was stronger and faster than its smaller part but there was growing hunger in it.
The cretins are even serving as an annoyance now but it still devoured them.
Soon, it reached an opening and it saw the source of the cretins.
It was a battle ground with various varying monsters resembling organs of a monster and beasts.
There are thousands of them, and many were falling but still as if their number wasn't reducing as they were flooded from a giant tube from above.
At the center of the battle field the lion saw a massive monster, 16 feet tall, with many mismatched hands and legs from monster and beast, its head was so large it was bigger than the body.
Suddenly, a giant hand of 9 feet slammed it, the body part fragmented and the monster exploded.
Each organ took on its individuality and the battle continued.
At one corner was a lone smart monster, it has a human head with eyes, and also has a body and two arms, but it has no legs. It was hiding and stalking scattered human legs that were fighting there.
