(This is a collection of short Sturm appearances in other Owl House episodes.)
S1 E6 – Hooty's Moving Hassle
Sturm was excited for the night of the Moonlight Conjuring. Not because he had anyone to perform the ritual with; he had no interest in that kind of stuff. No, Sturm was in a good mood because it was his day off. He finally had time to relax.
There was a cliff in the middle of the woods with a great view of the forest, the sea, and the moon, and he'd be danged if he missed it.
Sturm brought a lawn chair, a bag of popcorn, and his favorite drink. When he set everything up, he sighed as he sat back and sipped his drink.
"Ah... Nothing like enjoying your night off at your favorite spot, sitting on your favorite chair, and drinking your favorite beverage..."
He closed his eyes, and just then, he heard strange thumping noises. He opened his eyes and saw a giant house with long bird legs that towered over the trees strolling through the forest. The house walked across the landscape until it was out of sight.
Sturm then looked at his drink, thinking someone had put something that made him see things.
"Eh, what the heck."
He shrugged apathetically and started drinking harder. Whatever the drink had, he liked it even more. He leaned so far behind that he fell on his back, making the lawn chair crash with him.
S1 E8 – Once Upon a Swap
One particular day, Luz, Eda, and King made a wager about who had the least difficult life. So, to settle it, Eda cast a spell that swapped their minds. King had control over Luz's body and met with a bunch of teenagers from Hexside and won them over by being rebellious, much to Boscha's annoyance.
So, King decided to have fun by causing mischief around the market, swapping the orifices of people's faces, triggering an elf with comedic anger issues, and torturing everyone unfortunate enough to hear Hooty's annoying voice over the phone.
Such chaos caused many customers to flee in fear and run past those who were none the wiser.
Sturm was one of those clueless people.
While getting some groceries, the red-eyed watched a handful of people run in the other direction. He had no idea what was happening, but as he looked at one of the stalls, he put a finger under his chin while speaking his theory.
"Huh. Must've finally got a look at the prices."
S1 E9 – Something Ventured, Someone Framed
One of Gus's greatest desires was to feel appreciated by others. Even at the Human Appreciation Society, the group he had founded, no one took him seriously because of that brat Mattholomule, who convinced everyone that the 'human artifacts' Gus brought were inferior to his phony possessions.
So, the young Porter wanted to prove to everyone that all his findings were indeed from the human world. And who knew these artifacts better than the only human in the Demon Realm, Luz Noceda.
The illusionist had lied to the human girl that she was unbanned from Hexside, but he still wanted to keep her out of trouble. But that still didn't stop Gus from rubbing it in Mattholomule's face. His phony human artifacts would be debunked, and no one would ever take him seriously again.
"As president of the H.A.S., I should feel bad about dunking on one of our own members... But as a Gus, I feel like doing this! Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, what, oh! "
Gus did a victory dance. But while he was distracted, Luz walked over to a trophy case. She saw many strange records, but there was one she found both fascinating and humorous.
"Wow! Who got the trophy for the most bones?" Luz asked, pointing at one of the trophies.
However, as she gawked at the display case, one of the school guards came around the corner. It turned towards her and sniffed the air, smelling trouble.
Seeing this, Gus ran in and dragged Luz away. They ran away down another hallway.
"We don't have time for this right now. We gotta get to the club room," Gus said urgently, panting as he guided Luz to the room.
"Okay. But next time, you have to give me a full tour," the human girl said confidently.
"Yeah, next time, haha," Gus laughed nervously, knowing full well there wouldn't be a 'next time' regardless of whether or not he got caught. Part of him wished he had planned this through.
As Gus dragged Luz along, the girl stopped when she saw Sturm talking to Professor Hermonculus, the latter reading a book while his back was turned to her.
"I'm telling you, professor. Using electricity with Abomination magic can be the key to better results," Sturm explained.
"Ooh. It's Sturm and the abomination professor. I should introduce myself. Apologize for the incident," Luz said, much to Gus's panic. Luz stepped away from him and waved at the teacher. "Hey, Sturm. Hey, Mr. Abomination Professor. Sparkles and the Abominominator."
Hermonculus turned around, and Sturm looked over the professor's shoulder to look.
"Remember me?" Luz continued before doing her impression of an abomination, which consisted of sticking out her tongue and gurgling like a zombie.
Sturm and the professor just raised their eyebrows at her. That's when Gus decided to step in once again.
"Oh, wouldn't you know? We suddenly have time for a full tour of Hexside!" he said, grabbing Luz and pushing her away.
The professor looked silently at Sturm as if to say, 'What in the world just happened?' Sturm replied with a simple shrug.
S1 E14 – Really Small Problems
At a carnival, King had accidentally shrunken Willow and Gus with a strange liquid in a spray bottle. While King took the opportunity to spend time with Luz, Willow and Gus rode a fly to get to them.
However, Willow had difficulty controlling the fly. To her horror, it was heading towards Sturm, who was eating some rotten candy. The fly couldn't resist the sugary scent, so it flew over to get a taste.
Willow tried desperately to make it stop, but the fly ignored her. Sturm saw the fly buzz around his face and hovered near his lips. This annoyed Sturm, but he would quickly dispose of it.
"Hey. Buzz off."
When the fly was close enough, Sturm sent a tiny shock, electrocuting the fly. This made the insect land in the rotten candy machine along with Willow and Gus.
S1 E15 – Understanding Willow
Skara's fifteenth birthday was around the corner, so she took this opportunity to invite her friends over by giving out invitations made of real insect wings. She started with Boscha and Amity and called them the VIPs, even with the former being an ungrateful jerk.
She then handed more invitations to her classmates until there was one more.
"Who's gonna get the last invitation, Skara?" Amity asked.
"I don't know. Maybe I'll give it to the next classmate we see."
Then, as if the Titan answered to her, Skara saw someone exit the restroom. The second the girls saw Sturm, they reacted differently. Skara was excited. Boscha simply smirked. And Amity grimaced to the surprise of absolutely no one.
"Absolutely not," Amity said bluntly.
"Come on, what's your issue with him?" Skara asked.
"He has an issue with me. He's a parasite."
Sturm turned around to look at the girls.
"I'm not deaf, you know!"
The trio looked at each other before Amity sighed in defeat.
"Fine. Do what you gotta do. Just don't make me talk to him."
"No worries, we'll make sure he won't bother you," Boscha said confidently as she and Skara approached the white-haired boy.
"Hey, Sturm," Skara began. "As you probably know, my birthday is coming soon, and I'm hosting an invitation-only party. Wanna come?"
Skara handed Sturm her butterfly invitation, and the latter looked at it intently.
"You sure you want me, of all people, to come to your party?" Sturm asked, showing signs he was slightly perturbed.
"Well, yeah. We know you don't have a social life. It's about time you make one," Boscha smirked.
"Why would I want one?"
"Oh, you're missing out."
Boscha then motioned Amity to come over. Amity simply shrugged and approached her friends and rival. Soon enough, Boscha began to go on and on about how Sturm could build a social life and how it would change things for the better. She then began to talk about how her popularity made her life easier. Skara was in no mood to hear Boscha ramble, but she didn't dare speak it out loud, so she quietly snuck back to her classroom.
They entered the central atrium, and Sturm briefly saw Luz and Willow run ahead of him, but he paid no mind. The three entered another hallway, and before they knew it, they were about to walk past the photo class, and Boscha continued talking.
"...I can't believe I made him cry. Like, he's the teacher."
The door to the photo class was left open, and Amity stopped when she saw something inside. Whatever it was, it made her heart skip a beat and let out a gasp.
"Oh no..." she whispered. This caught the attention of her other two classmates.
"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Sturm asked, confused.
"Is there a ghost in photo class? Are they cute?" Boscha asked. Amity tries to block Sturm and Boscha's views with her hand.
"Yep, just a super cute ghost. But they're all mine!" the Blight said quickly before slamming the door.
"Eh. That's not the strangest thing I've seen her do," Sturm shrugged as he continued to walk with Boscha.
"Really? What else did you see her do?"
"Did you know she likes to picture herself with characters from a trash book?"
"Haha, wow, really? That's embarrassing," Boscha laughed lightheartedly. She was about to talk again, but then she saw that Sturm kept looking back. "What's up?"
"Something feels a bit fishy. You go ahead, I'll catch up."
Before Boscha could reply, Sturm zoomed back to the photo class. When he opened the door, he caught Amity panicking in front of a row of memory prints that she set on fire.
Sturm was shocked at first. He had no idea whose memories were now burning up. But whoever they were, their mind would be severely damaged because of Amity.
Wait... Because of Amity...
Of course. If anyone found out, the young Blight would be in serious trouble. Whatever concern Sturm had for the unfortunate Student was replaced by amusement at the idea of Amity facing dire consequences for it.
A chuckle escaped his mouth. It was loud enough for Amity to hear. She turned around, and her heart sank when she saw Sturm in the doorway.
"Wow. I have no idea what you were trying to do, but you ROYALLY messed up," Sturm smirked as Amity panicked even more.
"This is bad! What am I gonna do?"
"You're a clever witch, aren't you? Figure it out."
Sturm then zoomed away from the scene, leaving Amity to clean up the mess she created. How could she fix it? Sturm neither knew nor cared.
He got back to Boscha, who hadn't moved very far. She was surprised that Sturm returned so quickly, but she didn't mind.
"Hey, I've made up my mind," Sturm began. "Maybe I'll come to the party."
"That's great. It'll be your chance to be in a friend circle for once. Maybe we'll know each other better," Boscha said, briefly averting her gaze. When she looked again, she noticed Sturm's smirk, which was unusual for him. "Hey, I haven't seen you smile like that before. Is something on your mind?"
"Oh, nothing much," Sturm said, putting his hands behind his head as he walked along with Boscha. "Let's just say I'm suddenly in a good mood."
