James briskly walked over to Charlotte. "Don't move!" he warned as he looked down at her foot.
Charlotte followed his gaze and saw a tiny rectangular steel box lying on the floor.
Its gray color blended in perfectly with the concrete floor, making it barely noticeable unless someone took a close look.
A red wire stuck out of the box. On the other end of the wire was a piece of metal the size of a fingernail, which, at the moment, was under Charlotte's left foot.
The metal box had already lit up, displaying the time in red as it began to countdown.
Charlotte's throat tightened. She looked up at James and asked, "Is this a toy?"
James shook his head. "It's a bomb with a pressure sensor. Don't move. Once you lift your foot, it will explode. You won't be able to escape," he told her.
