She thought that Linda would definitely taunt her again after seeing her at Vince's event, but Linda didn't say anything.
She stared at Charlotte and sized her up and down thoroughly.
She touched her face and said, "Are you envying my beauty?"
She said with an impassive expression on her face, "Charlotte, you're really quite capable!"
With that said, Linda gave Charlotte a thumbs up!
She didn't say anything further. She simply turned around and left.
As Charlotte was feeling confused, she suddenly heard two voices say in a tone of admiration and envy, "Oh my God, she is Vince's agent! I actually saw Vince's agent!"
"Ugh! Why didn't Vince's agent speak to us?! Why would she speak to this old woman with a child?!"
Charlotte didn't know what to say.
