Bristleback Boar groaned in pain, blood spurting out like a fountain from between his crotch. Sensing another presence of another Immortal Beast, the boar was feeling challenged. Alas, with the loss of its 'little brother', it couldn't do anything but writhing painfully in its own pool of blood.
A figure of a young Immortal Beast strode menacingly in its blurry sight. The boar becomes more agitated upon knowing the young bird has not reached Earth Rank Immortal Beast yet.
Furious, the boar mustered every drop of energy within its core, charging blindly toward the young beast.
Alas, the opponent was very agile and fast. Moreover, the young beast had air superiority which made him able to dodge every attack easily.
"Come down here, you coward!" The boar shouted its mind, distorting the surrounding air.
On the other hand, Ash calmly analyzes his opponent's weak point while circling in the air. "That boar's hide is so thick, my talon can't possibly penetrate it for now. Furthermore, its quills are very tough and sharp. But, just like any other creature, its eyes must be very fragile like an egg."
Determined with his plan, Ash swooped down perpendicularly at a ninety degrees angle from above. Aware of the young bird's imminent attack, the boar sprayed its quills upward at once.
"Hehehe! Let's see if you can dodge my quills." The boar said confidently.
"Foolish pig!"
Even though the air was filled with deadly quills, Ash could easily alter his direction by adjusting his wings relative to the air movement. While doing so, Ash grabbed the biggest quill he could find in mid air. In just a flash, Ash was already flying horizontally from the side.
Wasting no time, Ash increased his speed even further, breaking the sound barrier in one burst. Within a fraction of a second, Ash stabbed the quill into the boar's head, destroying his opponent's brains and eyes in one deadly attack.
The once mighty and feared Bristleback Boar had been felled by a young Immortal Beast!
Every Earth Rank Immortal Beast in the valley was looking at the young beast with reverence. Never had they imagined that a Sky Rank Immortal Beast could be defeated by an unranked Immortal Beast!
"Incredible! This young bird must've come from a noble family! His techniques are so profound and sophisticated.
"Nah, I don't think so. He didn't even use any treasure during the fight." Said a male Rabbit Beast.
His wife slapped the back of her husband's head immediately. "Ssh! Shut your trap! Or you will be his dinner tonight! There's no way a noble born Immortal Beast would flaunt their treasure before us, low-born beast!"
Ignoring the couple's bickering, Ash, meanwhile, opted to focus on his Beast Taming System.

Without further ado, Ash put the weapon into the available slots on his avatar. After which, Ash checked his status on the Beast Taming System. He was so happy upon reading it.
Once he finished allocating the attribute points that he saved during his stay at Huxian's abode and also during his mundane journey to the west, Ash was astonished by his potential strength.

Just when Ash was about to spread his wings, the sorrowful cry of the Lightning Liger's cub made his heart wavered a little bit. It reminded him of his weak self when he just hatched.
He then hopped onto the cub's side in one leap. Unexpectedly, the cub hissed at him. It might be small, yet has the ferocity worthy of a Lightning Liger.
"Your parent is dead." Ash said coldly.
"No way!" The cub hissed again. "My father is the strongest! He must have just fainted!"
Ash couldn't help but to sigh dejectedly. 'How should I teach this stubborn cub? Tsk! I could've just flown away, but…'
Unable to convince her with just a word, Ash opted to use a rough method instead. He slapped the cub on the cheek with the tip of his wing.
"Look at him! Does he look alive to your eyes?!" Ash grabbed the back of her head.
At that moment, she returned to reality upon seeing her father was no longer breathing. The cub then growled in anguish, crying fervently atop her father's face.
Ash finally let go of her head, walking towards the boar's carcasses. Dissecting it with the quills and eating the innards in order to regain his stamina.
While feasting the meat, Ash didn't forget to show off his domineering aura in order to deter the carnivorous beasts in the surrounding area. Once he was full, Ash butchered some of the meat and gave it to the crying cub.
"Eat." Ash tossed the meat. Yet she didn't stop crying. Annoyed, Ash stuffed the boar's leg into her mouth instead. "I said, eat! You'll die due to hunger if you continue to cry like this."
For the next two days or so, Ash let the cub cry out to her heart's content until she was ready to part away with her father's dead body.
When was about to leave for the second time, the cub followed closely beside his foot.
"Master! May I come with you?" Said the cute, yellow-ish Lightning Liger cub.
And thus, the Beast Taming System rang in his head.
