Chapter 18 - Episode 18: Loot Goblin~

Thankfully I am someone that got years of experience of driving, and with the clear lane, doing other things whilst driving was just a small matter to me. Who would've thought that I would get a drive blowjob in this wasteland world, but one this for sure, life felt a lot brighter right now.

"Honey...". (Natasha)

"Yeah?".

"You seemed healthier than before…". (Natasha)

With a smile, she wiped her lips and face off with her shirt and smirked at me. I supposed it was not just me that gain something from our little intimacy act. With the drive got no music or other entertainment, I guess our little time was able to get us to passed time much faster, as we finally arrived at the outskirt of Rosewood Town.

"...it was…a small town…wow…I wonder what it looked like when the disaster never happened…". (Natasha)

"...it looked…beautiful…and quite livable…. a quaint little town, that have everything in it…I guess. This town…used to be surrounded with forest…".

"I guess so…". (Natasha)

Arriving at Rosewood town, we were greeted with a view of a ruined small town, it was a bit heartbreaking to see such a serene and quaint town become devastated like this. The town is small, there is only 3 rows of buildings, separated by a T junction road, the buildings were at the left and right side, and then at the top, that is it. Still Rosewood town is a complete town, there's the town office, library, banks and even schools, everything that a person need they can get it here. It was a little town that is close to a massive city and surrounded by forest, certainly a good place to live in.

But now the town were in a complete ruin by both the disaster and time, the road was broken and full of holes, buildings were torn apart. Bricks and woods were all over the place, on the roads or besides the road. Cars were just littered all over the place as well, thought thankfully, all of them were not jumbled together, so with my truck we can still drive around everything. As for the forest, well, it was turned into a wasteland, there were forest of dead trees as well, so that is why I know what this city probably used to look like.

"[The Bank is 50 meters north, sir…and also…I suggest that you do not go to the school on the left road, Sir….]". (Alfred)

After wisely silencing himself for far too long, Alfred voice echoed inside to the truck, with his navigation reminder.

"Why?".

"[The entire school is filled to the brim, with Zombies…]". (Alfred)

"Zombies'. Woah...".

"Zombies are dangerous…their bites were infectious…and whenever a zombie appeared, there will always be a pack behind it…we should never fight with them…. those things, although not that tough and easy to kill…they always win with numbers…". (Natasha)

"You've fought them before?".

"I did…when I am working as a porter for my friend scavenging group. We fought one before…and easily we got overrun…out of 20 Scavengers…10 died and turned into zombies on the spot…so we had to kill them all. Again…". (Natasha)

She always dropped her wasteland wisdom at time like this, her information is always helpful, and from her story, I also got a tidbit of her history.

"...Sounds, tough…".

"It was alright…and things happens...". (Natasha)

That saddened looks and expression, it doesn't take a detective to know that she does that work whilst being married to me, clearly took the dangerous to get money for the old me. In consolation, I can only let her feel that I am feeling what she is feeling by grabbing her hand tightly. I stopped and parked the car, right in front of the bank, the bank building was still standing, minus a few large holes on the wall and broken windows. It was a 2-floor building, with 40's era style building, looking so rustic as ever, the library was located on the right side of the bank, while on the left side of the bank was a jewelry store named, Galaxy Golds & Co. All thanks to its massive signboard on its first floor, that already rusted and falling apart.

"...Honey, here….". (Natasha)

Natasha already fully geared up, an empty backpack on her back and rifle in hand, she handed my 1st Carbine Rifle and closed the truck door, she stood beside me, and as always looked very concerned at me.

"We will clear the jewelry store first…we come in and secure every single room at each floor…. once we are confident that nothing will jump out and surprise us…Then we started scavenging…".

Standard procedure, but important to remember and do, we don't want to die due to carelessness after going this far. Although I served in the military just as a driver most of the time, I got plenty of training that just got pumped into me for years, and I see some actions as well. So, I know a thing or two about this kind of stuff, I guess in this life, I am using that experience to the blast.

"I will be a bit slower…but I can walk, Nat…I'm fine….".

"Don't push yourself to hard…we take it slow…if there's anything…just call for me…Okay?". (Natasha)

She is worried and I deserved to be treated like this, I walked like my left feet were 5 inches shorter, limping and all. Natasha knew how to fight but she is definitely not too good at it, she just has the heart and determination for it, when it comes to my safety, she would brave anything and get to me.

"Let's go…. Open the door…".

With my rifle ready and aimed to inside the jewelry store, we are ready to begin our work.

"Okay……". (Natasha)

As soon as she opened the door, I moved in first and then her, also with her 1st Carbine up and ready. My eyes scanned the entire floor, I nodded to her and we separated to clear all the room on this floor a bit faster. Door opened, and we shouted 'CLEAR' and then move on. There is a total of 5 room that are on this floor, it doesn't take long to clear them, about 3 minutes or so, the process was done. We checked every nook and cranny of all the room we cleared and then meet back up at the main door.

"Everything's clear on my side…".

"Mine as well…2 toilets in there, there's 5 skeletons in them...2 room empty room that had 4 skeletons in each of them…and that is it...". (Natasha)

"I got the store backroom…only 2 skeletons in it…so…everything is good…we can start now…let's move together this time…".

"Sure…". (Natasha)

On the ground floor, there is no threat at all, but there is quite a number of corpses here, and truly these people just died where they standing. We cleaned the main store floor first, there's 2 long glass jewelry display shelves on the wall on both sides, and then the massive glass counter/display in the middle. As predicted some jewelries were taken, but not much, but as for the cash registers and safe were empty of Coins, but the paper money was left untouched, so happily we take everything, Natasha just takes everything and put them into her backpack, she went over from skeleton to skeleton and stripped the jewelry and money like it was nothing.

Whilst I am still on the main floor, she has already gone in and out of all the room, when she come back to where I was, she would just dump the content of her backpack in the middle of the room and then went back to work again. Diamond rings, pearl necklace, gold rings, sliver necklaces, gold tooth's, just slowly piling up, and with that my lips also went up as well.

"Honey…do you want this too? it was gold...". (Natasha)

She comes out of the room, with a small chandelier in her hand and showed it to me.

"Well…if it's gold we take it…Hahahaha!".
