"Come in first," said James Brown, ushering Emily Jenkins into his apartment, "Let's see if you dropped them here just now."
"Oh, that's possible," Emily's eyes lit up immediately, and then she began searching James's apartment. Nothing in the living room, nothing in the kitchen, not in the bathroom either, and then she actually dashed straight into James's bedroom.
"Hey, you didn't go into my bedroom, did you?" James followed her in, a bit amused and relieved, "Fortunately, my room is clean, and there's nothing inappropriate for children. Otherwise, that would've been really embarrassing."
"Oh... You're right, I haven't been in this room before," Emily rubbed her hair, spreading her hands, "Looks like I definitely left them at home."
James asked, "Do any other places have keys to this apartment? Like the landlord or the property management?"
