Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Devils Part 1

As I gazed at a variety of standardized weapons, my attention was drawn to the Guardian Series. This standard-issue weaponry, crafted by the US government, is primarily designed for dungeon exploration. Renowned for its robustness and durability, it is particularly effective in F to A-rank dungeons.

However, it's important to note that while these weapons are sturdy, they require regular maintenance. Neglecting to oil the swords or spears after each use can lead to rapid deterioration, potentially compromising the effectiveness of your Guardian Series weapon. This underlines the urgency of regular upkeep.

The straps on the shields need to be checked occasionally to make sure that the leather is not wearing down too much. There is also a good thing about these weapons: even though they require a lot of maintenance—the parts have been produced in high quantities.

One of the key advantages of the Guardian Series is the ease of finding and affordability of replacement parts. These are standard parts, and since many weapon series are based on these types of weapons, you can interchange some company parts to stylize and use a weapon type better.

This practicality ensures that you can easily maintain and customize your Guardian Series weapon to your liking without breaking the bank.

The Academy usually has a voice-activated code that unlocks more powerful equipment. The reason why most people don't test to see if they can handle stronger weapons is because these weapons tend to have a will on their own.

So, even if you could get a stronger weapon and defeat most people. Would it be worth having something that could potentially fight back?

If your weapon fights back because of a political, moral, or religious difference, most people would not want to deal with that weapon. I am ok with it because I know what all weapons want. You can simplify it into a couple of words.

Weapons with consciousness want power and a physical body. So, if you can convince them that you will give them what they want, they will provide you with their power.

"Everyone, watch as this fool selects his weapon. Go on, choose your weapon. Let's see what you can do with fighting one person here," The teacher said, his gaze fixed on the Main Character. I had forgotten he was coming to this Academy building. I should have remembered, having been here last year, but other matters took precedence.

I walked towards the back, which had a lot of locks and religious paper seals. When I did, the teacher was very confused. He didn't know why a student would approach the back since I can assume no one else did. Now that I am here, I have to remember the saying to release all the locks. I believe the first code was.
