Chapter 30 - Eternal Vault

Lucius stepped off the carriage and looked at the market that was in front of him. The journey was not long as Daxton used a teleportation platform.

Lucius didn't know about it as he was always in the estate and also when he arrived at Volcaria's estate, he was sleeping so he didn't know it.

Daxton then immediately scanned the crowd before turning back to Lucius. "Master Lucius, this market may not be the most dangerous, but it's not without its risks. Allow me to accompany you."

Lucius turned to Daxton and shook his head. "I know what you are worried about, but I don't think I need to be accompanied."

Daxton was a bit confused hearing it but still he said. "I insist, Master Lucius. There may be individuals here who..."

Lucius cut him off with a wave of his hand. "I don't need your companion, Daxton. Liora is more than enough to ensure my safety."

Lucius then explained the reason. "Liora is a 2-Star Beastman now and I also doubt that there are many 3-Star tamers around here."

Liora, who stood beside Lucius, immediately looked at Daxton. "Don't worry, Sir Daxton. I will make sure that no one will dare to hurt my master. I'll rip apart anyone foolish enough to try."

Daxton's worry deepened as he saw Liora and Lucius. "I don't doubt her strength, Master but this is still my duty."

Lucius only chuckled and looked at Daxton. "Daxton, your duty is to follow my orders. And my order is to remain here. Luna, Liora, and I will handle this on our own."

Daxton could only step back after hearing what Lucius said. "As you wish, Master Lucius. But still, please be careful."

Lucius smirked as he walked away, "Careful? Don't you worry, Daxton; instead, be worried about people who dare to lay a hand on me."

Lucius then immediately entered the market with Liora and Luna, leaving Daxton alone to guard the carriage.

As they were walking, Luna then called Lucius, "Master, shall I carry this all day long? Or shall we find a place to store it? Whatever you want, I am ready."

Lucius then looked at Luna and thought for a moment. "It seems we will need to buy a spatial ring. I doubt carrying a chest will be safe for us in the long run."

Luna immediately nodded as she agreed with Lucius. Liora also agreed with what Lucius said, as it was better to have a spatial ring.

But suddenly, as Lucius continued to walk with his slaves, a system screen suddenly appeared in front of him.

---

[10 Eternal Vault Slots: 1,000,000 HP]

---

Lucius was surprised by the new screen. "Eternal Vault Slots? Why didn't the system ever mention this before? Even in my past life..."

The system remained silent, offering no explanation.

Lucius let out a chuckle, shaking his head as he smirked. "Ah, I see how it is. You only reveal your function when I'm in need and also have a lot of points. Clever. Very clever."

Liora, who looked at Lucius, who smirked so suddenly, began to be curious. "Master? Is there something wrong?"

Lucius only waved her off. "It is nothing. Just ignore me and keep me safe." Liora only nodded after hearing it.

Lucius then went back to the system and thought, "Eternal Vault... It seems that it is a type of inventory that the items stored in it will be eternally fresh."

Lucius then looked at the price again and frowned. "But still, the price was still too much. 1,000,000 Hack Points for just ten slots. I have around six million left. It's tempting, but I think I'll see the spatial rings first before deciding."

Lucius then looked around, searching for a place to get the spatial rings. He then saw one big building that was located near the center of the market.

"That must be a place. A building this big must have a lot of items, including the spatial rings." Lucius said while entering the building.

Then suddenly some finely dressed attendants at the entrance barely glanced at him before stepping aside as they already saw how luxurious Lucius' clothes were.

The grand double doors swung open, revealing a lavish interior filled with glittering wares and bustling clerks.

Lucius then entered and immediately went to one of the well-dressed receptionists and immediately asked, "I'm looking for spatial rings. Do you have any in stock?"

The receptionist nodded quickly and smiled. "Yes, my Lord. We carry several types of spatial rings. May I ask what specifications you're looking for?"

Lucius raised an eyebrow, as he just knew about it. "Specifications? Are there any differences between each spatial ring?"

The receptionist nodded again as she began to explain as she gestured to a nearby display that showcased some spatial rings.

"There are two main features to consider, my lord. The first is the size of the internal space, which literally means the size of the space inside it."

The receptionist then continued to explain about the second feature. "The second is the time differential. Certain rings allow the space within to exist on a separate time flow from reality, which helps in preserving items."

Lucius smiled after knowing the new information. "Interesting, so can I assume that the higher the capacity and the greater the time manipulation, the greater the price?"

The receptionist gave a small, nervous laugh, "Indeed, my lord. But they are worth the investment, especially for individuals such as yourself."

Lucius only smiled as he was satisfied after hearing her explanation. He then turned toward the system. "System, can you tell me the specifications of the Eternal Vault?"

---

[Eternal Vault: Each slot offers unlimited storage for one item type with timeless preservation and infinite stacking.]

---

Lucius then understood what the system said and smirked. "So, it's essentially a limitless inventory slot, and I can even store enough beast coins to rival the world and it is still not full."

Lucius already knew now that his system's Eternal Vault, although so expensive, was better than any of these spatial rings.

But still, the spatial rings could be used to mask his system's Eternal Vault. "I'll take a look at your other displays first, as it would be a shame to leave with just the spatial rings."

The receptionist nodded quickly, gesturing toward the showroom. "Of course, my Lord. Please take your time. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call for assistance."

Lucius only gave her a smile. "Of course I'll do that if I need your help." The receptionist then left Lucius alone in the showroom.
