Ace had been observing Maya for a while, and she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. "I have been observing you for quite a while now," Ace said, his eyes locked on hers. Maya's heart skipped a beat as she wondered if he was developing feelings for her.
Ace continued, "You look pretty, especially when you smile. Your eyes are as shining as stars, you know." Maya's face flushed with pleasure, but Ace's thoughts were far from sincere. He thought to himself, "Girls like this are seriously cheap."
Meanwhile, Maya was lost in her own thoughts, wondering if Ace had started liking her. She felt happy and excited at the prospect, but her feelings were short-lived. Ace's expression turned serious, and he said, "Oh, I forgot something in my drawer. Let's go get it."
As they walked, Ace suddenly stopped and turned around, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous spark. "Won't you help me find it, Miss...?" He drawled, pretending not to know her name. Maya supplied her name, and Ace smiled, saying, "Maya, would you help this admirer of yours?"
Maya agreed, and they made their way back to the school. However, Ace changed direction, and Maya followed without question, too caught up in her thoughts. When they arrived at their destination, Helena was waiting for them.
"Why did you bring her?" Helena asked, eyeing Maya warily. Ace replied, "You'll know soon." Maya looked confused, asking, "What are you talking about? Aren't we going to class?" Ace turned to her, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"No, we're going to look for something I lost. Didn't you say you'd help me?" Maya nodded, and Ace asked, "What did you do to her, except lock her in the room?" Maya's eyes widened in alarm, and she stuttered, "I-I told you where she is. That's all."
Ace's expression turned cold, his eyes darkening. "What did you do to her?" he repeated, his voice low and menacing. Maya trembled, confessing, "We bit her and locked her in. That's all." Ace's eyes flashed with anger, and he demanded, "You and who?"
Maya listed the names of her accomplices, including Diana, Namy, Gina, Digna, and herself. Ace's face twisted in disgust, his eyes blazing with fury.
