Chapter 26 - Little brother, why does it break when touched?

Hearing that somewhat familiar yet slightly different sound, the magic surging within Erza suddenly stilled. The rising energy she had been channeling calmed down.

Erza knew that Roy had stepped in.

She remembered their first meeting when Roy effortlessly slayed a top-tier magical beast with a single strike.

This time, she believed that Erigor's so-called impenetrable Wind Wall would be no match for him.

So, she retracted her own aura.

Looking up at Roy, she saw him raising his right hand, as if preparing to catch something.

Last time, his military saber had descended from the heavens, hadn't it?

As these thoughts crossed her mind, Erza suddenly heard a sound like shattering glass. It wasn't just her—everyone in the station's main hall heard it.

The noise was so loud that it was deafening.

Then, everyone instinctively turned towards the source of the sound. When they saw what had happened, they froze on the spot.

At the top of the hall, Erigor's Wind Wall had been smashed, leaving a massive gaping hole.

Through the opening, the clear blue sky was visible.

The edges of the hole resembled fractured glass, with cracks rapidly spreading across the entire Wind Wall.

It felt like an eternity, yet it happened in less than a second—the Wind Wall disintegrated under an unknown force.

The station fell silent. One could hear a pin drop.

Wasn't it supposed to be unbreakable? How did it suddenly shatter?

Was Erigor just bluffing earlier?

Among the members of the Iron Forest, some were shocked by the collapse of Erigor's Wind Wall, while others were secretly gloating.

They knew that if someone on the opposing side could so easily destroy the Wind Wall, that same person could just as effortlessly take down Erigor.

Thus, dark thoughts began to surface in the minds of every Iron Forest member.

*Serves you right for trying to escape alone earlier!*

*You locked us in with the enemy to draw their attention, and now you've been humiliated?*

*Well, enjoy your fate with us!*

*Serves you right!*

In the air, Erigor, who hadn't yet fled, was utterly dumbfounded. Seeing his Wind Wall—created with nearly all his power—shatter like fragile glass, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets, and his jaw dropped.

His long, horse-like face was filled with shock and embarrassment, unable to believe that someone could so easily destroy his ultimate move.

The boasts he had just made felt like fragile bubbles, bursting with a mere poke.

"When did my Wind Wall become so weak? I didn't even see how the enemy attacked. Am I hallucinating?"

Erigor was completely baffled.

On the Fairy Tail side, besides Erza—who had recognized the sound of Roy's move and knew the Wind Wall's collapse was his doing—Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Happy all realized after a moment of silence who had launched the attack.

Thus, they all turned their eyes toward Roy with expressions of admiration, praising him fervently.

"Roy-senpai, you're amazing!"

"That Wind Wall, which seemed so powerful, was taken down by Roy with such ease."

And looking at Roy casually raising his right hand, gazing at his weapon with an air of confidence and calm, it seemed as if he hadn't even exerted any effort.

Roy was incredibly strong!

That thought was unanimous among the group.

In truth, even Roy himself hadn't expected the current situation.

To be fair, he hadn't used any effort at all.

Staring at the dragon claw gauntlet on his right arm, Roy was at a loss.

His original plan was to use *Strike Vent* to unleash a powerful dragon flame and destroy Erigor's Wind Wall. He hadn't anticipated this outcome.

The mere force of the Dragon Claw's descent had obliterated the Wind Wall entirely?

*Little buddy, why'd you shatter so easily?*

What should've been Erigor's moment of glory had inadvertently become Roy's stage for a grand display.

Waving his right hand, the Dragon Claw dissolved into shimmering fragments and disappeared.

Roy then clenched his right hand into a fist, brought it to his lips, and pretended to cough.

"Cough, cough!"

After drawing everyone's attention, Roy looked up at Erigor, who was still hovering in the air, overwhelmed by shock and confusion. Roy sneered dismissively.

"So this is what you call 'impenetrable'? How laughable."

Though Roy's face was obscured by his mask, everyone could hear the disdain in his voice.

Erigor stared into Roy's crimson eyes, utterly bewildered.

What did this guy mean?

Suddenly, realization dawned on Erigor. His expression changed drastically as emerald wind magic surged around him, and he turned to flee.

Unfortunately, escape was not an option.

Slightly bending his knees, Roy pushed down with immense force.

The next moment, with tremendous power, Roy launched himself from the ground.

The station floor cracked under the force, forming a crater several meters in radius. The fissures spread like a spider's web, and dust billowed around.

Roy's figure shot through the air like a cannonball, rapidly closing in on the fleeing Erigor.

After the two disappeared into the distance, Erza instructed Natsu and Gray to remain at the station and capture the remaining Iron Forest members. She and Lucy then rushed off in pursuit.

Watching the magical vehicle speed away, Natsu and Gray's gazes were filled with resentment.

*We wanted to see Roy show off too!*
