Chapter 28 - You have too many weaknesses!

**This guy really is strange!**

Erigor's eyes flickered with uncertainty, and he hesitated, unable to decide whether to act rashly.

"What are you afraid of?" Roy's voice brimmed with mockery as he leisurely observed Erigor. "Have you already lost the courage to make a move against me?"

Spreading his hands and shrugging, Roy chuckled. "Honestly, with your level of bravery, do you really think you can take on those guild masters? You'd just be walking to your own demise."

"You bastard! How dare you look down on me like that!" Enraged by such disdain, Erigor abandoned his plan to observe further and swung his enormous scythe in fury.

"Storm Shatter!"

Fueled by his rage, Erigor unleashed hundreds of sharp wind blades, slicing through the air toward Roy with astonishing force.

Yet, they posed no threat to Roy.

"Too weak, too weak, far too weak!"

Effortlessly leaping through the air, Roy kicked apart each of Erigor's wind blades one by one. He quickly realized that such attacks couldn't even scratch his defenses.

After a few kicks, Roy didn't even bother defending anymore. He simply let the wind blades strike his body.

The sound of metal clashing echoed repeatedly as Erigor's supposedly powerful wind blades landed on Roy's suit but failed to leave even a scratch. They disintegrated into dust upon impact.

While enduring Erigor's attacks—barely even tickling him—Roy mocked relentlessly.

"Weak power, unstable mentality, overly suspicious… Everyone has their weaknesses, sure. But yours seem a bit excessive, don't they?"

Face red with fury, Erigor felt like he was about to explode from anger. *Why is this guy so unbearably sharp-tongued?*

Although he wanted to retort, Erigor realized he could never outmatch Roy in a verbal sparring match, so he begrudgingly gave up. Instead, he began gathering magical energy for an all-out attack.

"Emerald Strike!"

With a furious shout, Erigor unleashed his most powerful magic.

Several green wind threads, sharp as blades yet as flexible as whips, emerged from his fingers. Controlling them masterfully, Erigor aimed to tear Roy into pieces—especially that infuriating mouth of his!

Unfortunately, Erigor was unaware of a universal truth: unless they're the protagonist, the louder someone shouts, the weaker they are.

His thunderous shout only confirmed his lack of power.

In Erigor's ecstatic gaze, his wind threads wrapped around Roy. Just as he prepared to tighten his grip, Erigor froze in disbelief.

Roy simply shrugged, and with a faint movement, shattered the wind threads into fragments.

Shaking his head slightly, Roy glanced at Erigor, whose jaw had practically dropped to his chest, and said:

"Got any other tricks? Bring them all out. I'm in a good mood today; I'll play with you a bit longer."

*Play? Who wants to play with this monster?!*

Snapping back to his senses, Erigor cursed inwardly, his heart sinking into despair.

*I can't beat him. I can't outwit him. What can I do?*

Erigor chose to flee.

No matter how futile it seemed, running was his only option.

Turning abruptly, Erigor shot off at full speed, disappearing from Roy's sight.

"Ugh, so boring. His mental fortitude is laughable," Roy muttered, rolling his eyes before vanishing and chasing after Erigor.

"How can you hope to grow stronger if all you ever do is run away?"

Flying close behind Erigor, Roy's voice echoed in his ears.

"Damn it! Can you just shut up already?!" Erigor yelled, his head pounding as if it would explode.

Pushing his magic to its limits, Erigor tried desperately to escape. But no matter how fast he went, Roy stayed right on his tail, like an unshakable shadow.

Trailing Erigor closely, Roy didn't strike. He merely watched Erigor's frantic attempt to flee, like a cat toying with a mouse.

After a while, seeing that Erigor lacked the courage to fight back, Roy felt disappointed.

*Time to end this game.*

With a sudden flash, Roy appeared in front of Erigor, blocking his path.

"Do you have any idea how weak you are?" Roy asked, not giving Erigor the chance to respond. His terrified eyes reflected Roy, raising his right fist.

"Weak enough that one punch from me will send you bidding farewell to this beautiful world."

With a deafening sonic boom, Roy's punch landed.

In the next instant, Erigor's body, like a meteor, plummeted to the ground at incredible speed, leaving a long trail before smashing into the earth, creating a crater tens of meters deep.

"Boom!"

The explosion resonated like thunder, shaking the surroundings violently.

As the ground cracked and shockwaves rippled outward, Roy gently descended to the ground.

Looking at Erigor, now a bloody mess at the bottom of the pit, Roy frowned.

"This… is such a disgusting way to die."

"Next time, I'll just use *Final Descent* to finish my enemies. At least that won't traumatize any kids."

*Man, I really am a kind-hearted person.*
