Chapter 4 - My name is Roy

The Unparalleled Dragon Sword in Roy's hand cut through the air before it even landed on the head of the spider monster, its sharp blade already splitting open the monster's scalp.

Furthermore, a massive sword-shaped shadow extended from the blade, encompassing the entire body of the spider monster within its attack range.

In the next moment, it was as if cutting through tofu the sword-shaped shadow sliced down from top to bottom, effortlessly tearing through the hard shell of the spider monster.

During this process, Roy did not feel even the slightest bit of resistance it was smooth and seamless. Finally, Roy landed lightly on the ground. With a casual flick of his right hand, the Unparalleled Dragon Sword shattered like glass, turning into fragments and disappearing into the air.

Only at this moment did the spider monster's face, still frozen in terror, begin to slowly split apart.

Blood began to seep from its face, at first just a hairline-thin crack. As the split widened, blood suddenly gushed out like a fountain, spraying from the severed surface.

Immediately after, the huge body of the spider monster collapsed to the ground in two halves, causing a slight tremor in the ground and a muffled sound.

With just one strike, the spider monster was cut in half!

Behind Roy, Erza, who had been struggling against the spider monster just moments before, watched in shock. Her fair, delicate face was full of astonishment, her small mouth forming an adorable "O" shape.

Although the spider monster was not at full strength due to a lack of magical power, its physical toughness hadn't diminished in the slightest!

Erza, who had struggled to cut off just one of its legs, knew very well how tough the spider monster's body was.

Its shell was several times harder than steel, and breaking it was not something an S-class mage could easily accomplish.

Yet, she hadn't expected the person in front of her to slice it in half so effortlessly!

Even though his magic looked a bit strange, his power was undeniably strong!

Erza was genuinely impressed by Roy's formidable strength.

This was definitely at an S-class level, perhaps even comparable to the Ten Wizard Saints!

She wondered if he had joined any guilds. If he hadn't, she must invite him to join Fairy Tail!

With this in mind, Erza moved her long legs and walked towards Roy, who was standing there after defeating the spider monster, seemingly lost in thought.

Erza was definitely an action-oriented person!

What she thought, she would do immediately!

System Panel

Host: Roy

Current System Level: Beginner (Unlock Knight's Tenfold Amplification)

Current Unlocked Knight: Ryuki (Dragon Knight)

Dragon Knight Justice Value Progress: 12% (Power Boost)

Staring at the semi-transparent panel visible only to him, Roy looked at a line of small text in the lower left corner of the panel.

[Defeat an S-class monster about to advance. Reward: 10% progress in Justice Value.]

[Save a young girl with S-class mage power. Reward: 2% progress in Justice Value.]

At this moment, Roy's attention wasn't on the 10% and 2% values, but rather on the terms "S-class monster" and "S-class mage."

S-class monster? S-class mage? It all felt so familiar! Did he transmigrate into some sort of magical world?

Moreover, the red-haired girl looked somewhat familiar too. Was she a character from some anime?

Roy pinched his chin with his right hand, rummaging through his memories and sinking into thought.

He had completely forgotten that the young girl was standing behind him. If he found her familiar, wouldn't it be faster to just ask her name directly?

Until Erza's voice sounded behind him, Roy didn't realize.

Turning around, Roy saw Erza standing somewhat shyly in front of him.

"Um, hello sir! My name is Erza Scarlet, a mage of Fairy Tail. May I know your name?"

Before Roy could ask, Erza had already introduced herself. Her voice was soft and gentle, completely different from her usual bold and straightforward demeanor in the guild.

Roy's current attire exerted an overwhelming presence on her, combined with her body still weakened by poison; it took her a moment to recover.

"Erza Scarlet? Fairy Tail?"

Upon hearing the name, a flash of realization struck Roy's mind, recalling memories associated with it. Erza was a character from a shonen manga he had watched in his previous life, *Fairy Tail*, one of the main female characters.

Due to the long time that had passed and the fact that he hadn't even finished the anime, Roy could barely remember the characters, which was why he hadn't recognized her at first glance.

Hearing Erza ask his name, Roy was about to respond.

At that moment, he realized he was still in his Dragon Knight transformation. He quickly dispelled it.

It was fine during battle, but now that the fight was over, keeping this form while talking to someone felt a bit impolite.

In the next instant, the armor shattered like glass, revealing a tall, handsome young man standing in front of Erza.

His messy black hair didn't look unkempt; rather, it added a hint of wild charm.

His handsome face was sharp and chiseled, with deep-set eyes under long, sword-like brows, adding an air of mystery.

To Erza, this man in front of her was the most handsome she had ever seen.

Although Erza wasn't the type to swoon over attractive men, she couldn't help but feel a bit flustered at Roy's striking appearance.

After all, who wouldn't feel admiration for a powerful, handsome man who had just saved them?

"My name is Roy. It's nice to meet you, Erza," he said in a clear and gentle voice.

"Roy? What's your last name?"

"I'm just Roy. Last name, Ro; first name, Yi!"

"What a strange name," Erza mumbled quietly, then looked up at Roy's deep black eyes and asked curiously, "So, Roy, are you in a mage guild?"

Her beautiful eyes sparkled with anticipation, hoping Roy would shake his head.

That way, she could invite him to join Fairy Tail.

If Roy joined Fairy Tail, the guild's strength would rise, and its position as the top guild in Fiore would be unshakable.

Erza, known as the Fairy Queen and one of Fairy Tail's disciplinary officers, always had the best interests of her guild at heart.
