Chapter 30 - Golden Stone Tablet

Chu Wuyao kept hitting the ground with the upper part of the monster and only when its pleadings stopped did her anger finally calm down.

Unfortunately, as a direct consequence, the monster in her hands was no longer alive.

Chu Wuyao glanced at it with some pity and dropped it on the ground, when she saw that a red, transparent, mist-like aura spread around the corpse.

The aura was very strange and she didn't know if it was an illusion, but Chu Wuyao seemed to see some faces hidden inside of it.

Just by taking a look at those faces, Chu Wuyao felt her consciousness becoming chaotic.

Almost instinctively, she ran the Blood Demon Body technique, and the red aura flew towards her eagerly.

In an instant, it was absorbed by her body and flowed everywhere, healing the injuries she had suffered during the fight and then increasing her body's strength.

Chu Wuyao had no time to appreciate this though, as she felt various chaotic ideas spontaneously emerging in her mind.

Her gray eyes showed a black, chaotic hue, that seemed to want to dye them black.

Chu Wuyao had the urge to destroy everything around her, kill everyone, increase her strength and become the Empress that controlled the world.

"Hmph! A mere technique wants to control my thoughts?", Chu Wuyao snorted and immediately suppressed these ideas that emerged inexplicably.

The black light in her eyes quickly disappeared and she became calm again.

"Is this the side effect of the Blood Demon Body?", she couldn't help but wonder.

Because Chu Wuyao had only practiced body cultivation using Sin Points, she had almost forgotten the correct way to practice this technique: killing people and absorbing the killing aura after their.

Part of it was because of everything that happened in the past few days, and part of it was because she had killed creatures before and none of them had shown such aura.

"So, only by killing creatures with some cultivation can you absorb the killing aura after their death?", she guessed.

She couldn't be sure, but Chu Wuyao was 90% certain that her guess was correct.

Putting the matter aside for the time being, Chu Wuyao felt the condition of her body.

The body's power, which already increased once when using the Sin Points, had improved even more after she absorbed the killing aura.

This increase was actually massive, almost equivalent to 5 or so dual cultivation sessions.

"No wonder evil cultivators like to slaughter people to increase their cultivation at every turn."

"When faced with such rapid speed of improvement, there are only a few people that can actually restrain themselves."

"Of course, practicing evil techniques is also very dangerous."

Remembering the chaotic thoughts that appeared inexplicably in her mind, Chu Wuyao understood that this was the side effect of absorbing the killing aura.

It's not only the Blood Demon Body that has such drawbacks, but every evil cultivation does.

This is exactly why they are considered evil techniques.

For example, there are many disciples of the Original Desire Sect that sink into dual cultivation and lose themselves, becoming "puppets" that only seek to relieve their carnal desires.

Chu Wuyao had even personally witnessed this happening before, where a senior sister suddenly tore off her clothes and started attacking the male disciples around her with red eyes filled with desire.

Shaking her head, Chu Wuyao stopped thinking about it and looked at the village around her.

Or at least, what was left from the village.

Apart from the corpse on the ground, most of the buildings had been completely destroyed and rocks, pieces of wood and blood were everywhere.

"Let's see what this monster is trying to protect.", Chu Wuyao whispered and walked into the only building in the village that had remained intact during their fight.

It was the village chief's residence, the house where the monster had walked out of.

It had almost been destroyed multiple times during their fight, only for the monster to protect it desperately.

Stepping inside the house, Chu Wuyao found that it was nothing special and it was similar to Feng Yu's house.

There were only a few pieces of furniture and some paintings on the wall, depicting a young couple hugging each other lovingly.

From his features, Chu Wuyao was able to recognize that the young man was the village chief in his youth.

Ignoring this, she extended her senses and investigated everything in the house, until she finally found a door on the ground that supposedly led to the basement.

She blasted the door open and climbed down, using the stone ladder that extended down.

Some time passed and soon, Chu Wuyao saw the ground below and jumped off the ladder.

"Boom!"

She fell to the ground, bringing up dust and breaking the stone on the floor.

Patting her shoulders to clean the dust, Chu Wuyao looked around this place.

It was a large, underground room, completely made out of stone, whether it was the floor or its four walls.

At the center of the room, there was a round stone table, on which, hundreds of small eggs were sitting on.

The eggs seemed to have sensed the danger and shook violently, with cracks appearing on their surface, as if they were about to be born.

Having already killed their mother, Chu Wuyao would of course not be scared by a bunch of unborn monster cubs.

Her figure disappeared, before appearing right next to the table and her hands turned into claws.

Waving her hands, her fingers passed through every single one of the eggs, cutting them neatly in two pieces.

After Chu Wuyao was done bullying a bunch of children, she spread her sense around, trying to find if there was anything of value.

"A Level 1 monster should have some reason to stay in this remote village.", she judged.

Time passed by slowly, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't find anything special in the underground room.

"Could it be that she was just waiting for her children to be born?", Chu Wuyao couldn't help but start doubting her guess.

Suddenly, she remembered something and appeared next to the only object inside the underground room, the stone table.

Waving her hand, she threw all the broken eggs away and stared at the stone table carefully.

Since it was the only thing inside the room, Chu Wuyao had every reason to suspect that this might be what she had been looking for.

Investigating the stone tablet, she used the Illusion Eyes to see if there was anything special about it, but still couldn't find anything.

Remembering the myths of weapons recognizing their masters after being shed with blood, Chu Wuyao cut a small cut on her index finger and threw a drop of blood onto the table.

To be honest, she wasn't expecting anything to happen and only did it just in case, but the stone table actually reacted.

The moment her drop of blood fell on it, it was absorbed by the stone table and countless golden vein-like lines appeared on its surface.

Before she could react, the stone table floated in the air, shrunk down to the size of a human hand and flew towards Chu Wuyao.

When it touched her body, it drilled into her and disappeared.

The moment this happened, Chu Wuyao's consciousness went blank and the next second, she appeared in a dark place.

In her senses, this place was completely endless and apart from herself, only a huge, golden stone tablet was floating in front of her.

Just by taking a glance at this stone tablet, Chu Wuyao felt that her mind was about to burst.

Thankfully, the place around her shattered into countless pieces and she soon returned to reality.

Thinking of what had just happened, Chu Wuyao smiled wryly.

"Why is everything trying to get into my body today?", Chu Wuyao complained and recalled the colorful light that appeared previously.

But her mind soon wandered.

"This golden stone tablet should be a powerful magic weapon."

"It should be that it noticed my extraordinary intelligence and supreme qualifications, and rushed to recognize me as its master.", Chu Wuyao nodded her head and convinced herself.

She felt that this was the only reasonable explanation!
