I took my time getting there, letting them wallow in their fear. It was obvious that they needed reassurance after the news of Ivan's death and when they heard that the police were looking into me more than the others, they wanted to find out if I was the culprit.
If they wanted me so badly, they could wait. Rowan and Rudolf followed, of course, apparently I was a "precious jewel in need of protection."
They didn't say it outright, but the way they hovered spoke volumes. Both believed the other Alphas would have a negative reaction to me being the prime suspect in Ivan's case.
I didn't stop them because I definitely needed the protection. I haven't been myself since I found out that the rogue alpha actually does exist and he was back to killing.
