I looked down at him, the pain I could see clearly painted on his face bothered me. He stood there, small and vulnerable as he waited for me to take his pain away.
If I did what he was asking me to, then I wouldn't be any different from the asshole that did that to him.
"Soren, I can't… Please don't make me," my words came out in a plea.
I bent my head to touch his forehead, hoping he would understand what I was trying to say. I wanted him to know I would do anything for him, anything at all.
Just not this.
"Let me go," he whispered.
"No," I shook my head
He was pleading for me to let him go but I couldn't do that.
His fists pounded against my chest, his cries echoing in the tiled bathroom. "Let me go!" He screamed, thrashing against me, his voice filled with desperation and anger. But I still didn't let go. I couldn't.
