Gunfire rang through the warehouse, deafening and relentless. Victor and Ivan dove for cover, their faces twisted in surprise and panic. I smiled despite the blood dripping from the corner of my mouth, the taste of iron filled my mouth.
The bikers were here.
When I'd struck the deal with their leader, it had been an act of favor. I knew Soren wouldn't approve, hell, he'd probably have my head for it but it's a good thing I did. I'd told the leader exactly what he wanted to know: when Victor and Ivan would be meeting. The two bastards had been working on offing them mercilessly behind Soren's back to take over the trade routes, and the bikers wanted payback.
Now, they were delivering it.
