Inside Leah's room, I was sitting on the floor rubbing my head. Earlier, I was practicing freezing water with magic. Carla gave me a great deal of praise and encouragement while I practiced. After I figured out how to freeze my magic water balls, I decided to move on to something else: flight.
It occurred to me that it may be safer to practice flight indoors, so I decided to give it a try. but all I managed to do was bang my head against the ceiling. I guess I was right, it's probably for the best that I did that indoors. It didn't hurt, but I was still rubbing my head as if it did. It feels like that should have hurt. Carla was rubbing my back with a sympathetic look on her face.
When I saw our elven visitors come in, I stood up.
Queen Sera looked surprised to see me and then looked around the room with a curious expression for a moment.
"Here is the boy you seek," said Leah. "Make it quick, I need to speak with him as well."
"Of course, the abridged version, then." said Sera as she started to disrobe.
"Why are you stripping?" asked Leah. "We don't have time for you two to have sex."
"Do you not know, Leah?" said Sera. "This is an elven custom to show respect and sincerity. It is an absolute must when one is to make an important request."
Ohhh, that's the custom she was talking about when we first met. I'm so glad Leah asked her that. Also damn, Sera's body is very sexy. She is very slender, except where it counts.
Now naked, Sera reached out to one of her guards, and her guard put a crown in her hand.
"On behalf of the elves, I agree to the terms you offered. I hereby crown you King of our elven tribe." said Sera, ceremoniously, as she placed the crown on my head. "All I ask, in return, is that you rule us well, and that you father at least one male half-elf."
Shocked, but maintaining a stony poker face, I glanced at Leah and Carla, who had no such poker face. Their shock was terribly obvious. I can only think of one thing to do in this situation. I don't have it in me to make them wait while I consider my options.
"You honor me." I said. "I gratefully accept."
Oh good, Sera looks very pleased with my response, at least. I can figure out why this happened and whether or not it's a good thing, later.
"Are you trying to conquer the whole forest?" asked Leah. "Actually, we can talk about that later. First, you must know that these elves exposed us. It's only a matter of time before Emily and Enna are found out."
"What do you suggest we do?" I asked.
"Please permit me to act on my own initiative," said Leah.
Sera looked completely bewildered as she started putting her clothes back on, and Carla looked concerned.
"Of course, Leah, do as you see fit."
With that, Leah picked me up in a princess carry, and carried me out. Carla followed right behind us and Sera hurried to catch up.
