Chapter 15 - The Elves

Two elves stood on the platforms above the gate holding bows at their sides, and they gawked at us as we landed in front of the gate. I need to suppress my embarrassment, maybe they are just surprised because this situation is so unexpected.

"Let us in, please," said Lily.

"Of course, right away." replied one of the elf guards, while signaling to someone beyond the gate.

The gate opened and we walked in. Inside, I saw rounded, terraced homes lining the street in front of us. I see a few elves stop what they are doing to see what is going on. I can't make out what they are saying, but I can hear some of the elves chattering to each other. I'm sure that this kind of visit is uncommon for them, so I think they are probably just curious. Then, a couple of the elf guards approach us.

"You must be here to see the queen," said one of the elf guards. "We will escort you to her."

"Okay, thank you." I replied. I will probably need the queen's permission in order to live here.

The elves are gorgeous. They have delicate feminine features and smooth, silky hair in various shades. Elves have slender bodies with prominent breasts and hips. Also, I'm not seeing any male elves. I wonder if elves are an all-female race too. The elves are wearing fine textile clothes dyed in various pastel colors, and I find that encouraging in my quest for clothing. Oh, and they also have long pointy ears, as expected.

As we walked the street some elves came out of their homes to look at us. That is to be expected, I suppose, but I feel uneasy. Each time I look at an elf directly, she averts her gaze, looking rather perturbed. It could be because I'm naked, but I also get the impression they dislike outsiders. I don't like this, it feels humiliating and unsettling. I don't think I am welcome here.

We approached a much larger building, it looks like a mansion sized version of the other homes I passed. It follows the same unique and beautiful architecture, and it is the only structure I've seen here with multiple stories.

We passed more guards at the door and entered. At the end of this short hall are three doors, one leading forward, and one on either side, presumably leading to either wing of this palace. The walls and floor of this place are made of fine wooden planks, enhancing the wood's natural beauty. The walls are adorned with drapes and the floor with rugs. Again, the elves have excellent textiles.

I really hope I can get some clothes here, at least. The atmosphere has made me anxious, and I worry that this meeting with the queen won't go well. I'm sure there are more ways to screw this up than I can even think of.

One of our escorts went through the forward facing door.

"This should only take a short time," said the remaining escort.

"Elves always make us wait," said Lily, with a sigh, after a minute or so of standing in the hall.

That comment made our escort visibly nervous. She went to the door and peeked inside.

"Just another moment, please." she said.

"You may enter." came a voice from beyond the door.

We entered to find a large throne room. The room had more of the same beautiful wooden architecture with textile accents. Ahead of us, was the throne, flanked by curved stairs. Atop the throne, sat another gorgeous elf, the queen, I assume.
