Chapter 1 - Day One - Welcome!

January 3, 2024

"Professor, here are some documents you requested."

"Alright, thank you."

Professor FuPa touched the stack of old documents on his desk—ancient records from the Academy's library. Morning sunlight filtered through the classroom window, glinting off his glasses.

"Are we ready?"

Someone behind the camera gave a thumbs up. Professor FuPa took a deep breath, then smiled toward the camera.

"Good morning, everyone. Welcome to FuPa's Class. I'm Professor FuPa, here to be your teacher, mentor, and friend over the coming years."

"So? How am I supposed to start teaching an empty classroom?" FuPa muttered to himself with a stiff smile.

---

FuPa was a transmigrator from Earth. Intentionally, he had drawn a summoning circle from an old book he bought at a flea market.

Unexpectedly, instead of summoning something, he was the one who got pulled in, becoming the summoned.

Time flew by quickly, and now FuPa had become one of the strongest Wizards in this world. Foolishly, after living here for 1,200 years, he only recently realized why he hadn't recreated the summoning circle that brought him here in the first place.

But instead of drawing it on the floor, he created it on the wall, adding modifications with his magical knowledge, intending to build a permanent portal that he could open and close at will. After all, having spent 1,200 years in this world, it would be hard to leave it behind. He had built so many connections here.

When he returned to Earth, he appeared back in his room, and just then, his mother opened the door. Both of them froze, tears filling their eyes. They rushed to embrace each other. FuPa forgot that he had lived in that world for 1,200 years.

It turned out, time on Earth was different. He had only been gone for 12 hours. He stared blankly at his mother as she told him this.

"Then, Mom, why did you run in here crying and hug me like we had been apart for ages?"

Wiping her tears, his mother replied, "I thought you'd gone crazy, son. Your clothes look strange. Were you planning to cosplay and sell yourself on the internet?"

FuPa was stunned by her answer. He looked down at the outfit he was wearing—a special robe only seventh-semester Wizards could wear. In his world, it commanded fear from enemies and respect from others. Here, his own mother thought he was crazy.

FuPa was unsure how to respond. He thought that if he explained the world and the portal, his mother might immediately send him to a mental hospital.

Suddenly, his mother hugged him. "It's okay, even though you're unemployed, single, skinny, and not exactly handsome, you're still my son."

Honestly, FuPa's heart hurt a little hearing that, but her final words warmed him, and he hugged her tightly. To her, it had only been twelve hours, but for FuPa, he had missed her for 1,200 years.

FuPa reunited with his family, which was still intact—his father, mother, younger sister, and older sister. His family wasn't wealthy, just average. Sometimes they struggled financially, and conflicts arose. But they could still laugh together and cared for each other. Yes, they were a regular family, just like most others.

FuPa couldn't contain his longing for his family, especially his younger sister. He ran over to hug his middle-school-aged sister, but her reaction wasn't what he expected. She turned and kicked him right in the stomach.

"Disgusting," she said, her face darkening.

---

After the small reunion, FuPa returned to his room and changed clothes. He sat on the edge of his bed and looked around his room.

"Everything's still the same. After all, I've only been gone for 12 hours in this world."

FuPa stood and paced around his small room. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"Son, what are you doing?"

"Nothing, Mom."

"Can I come in?"

"Didn't you already come in earlier without asking? Sure, come in, Mom."

FuPa opened the door for her and saw a large box in her hands.

"Here, I found this in the mailbox. It looks like it's for you."

FuPa noticed a familiar logo and remembered that before he left for that world, he had wanted to become a streamer on Wiz-Tube. He had pursued it for a month and eventually reached 100,000 followers. Every content creator a.k.a. streamer who hit 100,000 followers received a Tier 1 award plaque.

"Yes, this is mine. Thank you, Mom."

FuPa took the box and opened it.

"What is that?" his mother asked.

"It's a kind of recognition or award from Wiz-Tube, Mom."

"Wiz-Tube, the place where you play games and make videos?"

"Yeah, something like that, Mom."

"And what does it do?"

"It means, starting now, they'll pay me, Mom."

His mother smiled and patted his head.

"Good, good." Then she left.

FuPa walked over to his study desk, where his PC was, and turned it on. Twelve hundred years might be a long time, but it didn't mean he had forgotten everything from Earth. FuPa opened his Wiz-Tube account and browsed.

"It's been so long since I played games and live-streamed. Damn, what about my game account?"

FuPa remembered the twelve-hour time difference and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's try a few games."

---

The clock on the wall showed 8 p.m. FuPa stretched and unconsciously looked toward the door.

"No one's going to scold me? As usual."

He rested his head on the back of the chair, reflecting on his unique life.

"That world, Wiz-Tube..."

---

"Since today is our first day of class, I'll greet the Mortals who have joined us first. Hello, seethroughvision100%, JoaqinCrow, hello halobandung, welcome lolitaversionof_ME..."

"Well, that's all for today. Next, I'll go over the syllabus for the year. I'll show it on the screen as I explain—it might be a bit boring, but tomorrow, I promise we'll have fun studying magic together."

*Ilustration on my Wattpad Page

"This is my syllabus for the year 2024. Take a look at it. There are six tasks or processes you'll go through over this year in my class."

"Of course, to start learning something, you need a foundation first. So your first process is 'Zaklady Magie' or Basic Magic, which will last about 3 to 4 months, starting in January. As long as you understand 85% of the basics, you'll pass. Below that, you'll fail, and if you score below 30%, you're unsuited for magic studies and should leave my class."

"Zaklady Magie covers the philosophy, understanding, and history of magic—its origins, development, and more. If anyone has questions, hold them until the end of the class."

"Next is Druhi Magie. After grasping the basics, we'll move directly into types of magic or Druhi Magie. There are many types of magic in this world, so the passing requirement is not too strict. There are three main types of magic: offensive, defensive, and support, along with a unique type called performance and art magic."

"Once we understand magic, we must learn its uses and dangers. Both are crucial in the world of magic, especially at the Academia Dobra Magia, where ethics and morality in magic are highly regarded. Those proficient in magic are strictly forbidden from committing crimes and are required to help others."

"Throughout the journey of understanding and learning magic, we'll learn how to use it, and at the end of the year, there will be a practical exam. I think that's enough of an overview of our 2024 syllabus; we'll discuss each part in detail later."

"Feel free to post questions in the comments, and I'll answer a few. While we wait, let's greet some new Mortals who have just joined. Hello, RezimNazy, hello princessBlack21st, mybigweapondownhere, welcome licker..."

"Alright, that's all for today. We'll meet again tomorrow. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day, Mortals!"

Someone behind the camera gave a thumbs up, and the Professor sighed.

Professor FuPa looked out the classroom window, seeing that it was already evening.

"Not bad."

---

FuPa suddenly had an idea. Why not continue his career as a streamer, but instead of gaming content, focus on magic? It sounded absurd, but in this modern world, would anyone believe in magic? They would likely consider it entertainment, camera effects, acting, and video edits.

So he decided to pursue the idea. He retrieved unique treasures from that world through the portal and sold them online, labeled as handicrafts. These treasures weren't dangerous and had no effect on Earth's beings. FuPa considered selling gold and diamonds but feared suspicion.

The business ran smoothly, and FuPa didn't hide it. He added some flair to the story of how he obtained these items. Within a few months, he had enough profit to buy professional streaming equipment.

He also recruited a trusted friend from Earth to help him as a cameraman. Of course, at first, his friend thought FuPa was crazy, but after seeing the truth, he wasn't just amazed; he was thrilled. He vowed to keep the secret with his life.

"How is it? Are you comfortable working with FuPa?" asked his mother as she cooked in the kitchen.

"Yes, Auntie, very comfortable, and I really enjoy it," replied Tio with a bright smile.

"It's rare to see you smile like that, so you must be happy. Thank you for helping him."
