"Cut! Thanks for your help, Instructor Meysa," said Tio with a thumbs-up.
"My pleasure. This was a new experience, honestly. It felt odd having to stare at the lens constantly while teaching, as if there were actual people in the room."
Just then, the Professor returned.
"How did it go?"
"A third-semester Wizard infiltrated."
"Is that possible? Neither of us sensed their presence. Wait, don't tell me—was it that monster?"
"Yes, the monster was actually a Wizard."
"I thought it was just a low-rank creature wandering around the Academy. My apologies."
"It's alright; I forgot to set up a barrier around the portal."
"Bro, why not just set a barrier over the entire Academy?"
"The Academy already has its own barrier. If I added another, it would raise suspicion."
"Is their barrier as strong, or even stronger, than yours?"
"It's comparable."
"Then even without a barrier on the portal, shouldn't the monster have been unable to enter the Academy at all?"
"Exactly, that's the question—how did it get in?"
"What did you do with it?" Meysa asked.
"I incinerated it but left the head."
Professor FuPa retrieved a head from a mystical storage space.
With a horrified expression, Tio stumbled backward in shock.
"A head! That's a human head!"
"I forgot you were here. You'd better go for now."
"Alright."
Once Tio left, Professor FuPa wrapped the head in Energie and made it float.
"Look here, on its tongue is the symbol of the Vitazstvo pre Satana (ViSa) Sect."

"This proves they could infiltrate the Academy grounds. It means someone from the inside is aiding them."
"I may have been a bit distracted lately. Have you noticed anything, or anyone, that could be linked to all this?"
"I've been busy myself. You know, though I enjoy hunting down criminals, the frequency of monster attacks and crimes has surged lately. But even though some of these events are high-level, I still think they're manageable by the kingdom's security forces."
"And your classes?"
"The Chancellor replaced me with another instructor and ordered me to focus on the kingdom's assignments."
"But aren't you the lead instructor? Don't you have some say in the matter?"
"I do, but how could I refuse an order from the kingdom? Even if it does seem like an attempt to keep me away from the Academy."
"Alright, thank you for today. How was it?"
"It was enjoyable. At least I didn't have to deal with mischievous kids."
Professor FuPa laughed at her comment.
"You're standing on the shore, not yet diving into the ocean."
"What do you mean by that? And why are you laughing?"
"Nothing, once again, thank you. I hope we can team up again in the future."
"Alright then, goodbye."
---
FuPa returned to his room and collapsed on his bed.
"Where's Tio? Has he already gone home?"
FuPa took out his smartphone to check for any messages from Tio.
"No messages at all. Should I call him? Forget it—he's probably still spooked."

A large man, fully armored except for his head, stood quietly, waiting for a woman seated with her back to him to speak.
"That's all. Very well."
She turned and retrieved a small bottle from her desk drawer.
"This is the promised potion. Use it wisely."
The man didn't immediately take it. They exchanged a long look before he finally took the small bottle and departed.

After helping the Professor, Meysa went to complete her usual routines. When midnight approached, she returned to the Academy.
As she headed to her room, she encountered a senior who had taught her swordsmanship and fought alongside her in battles.
Heavy Sword Master Arlotte Julius. A master of the greatsword, revered throughout the land for his skill.
"Lord Arlotte, I just saw you coming out of the Chancellor's office."
"Yes, I was discussing the rise in monster attacks and crime rates with the Chancellor. How are you managing your assignments?"
"I've completed everything successfully."
"Good work."
After giving Meysa a pat on the shoulder, Lord Arlotte turned to leave. But before he went far, Meysa called out to him.
"Lord Arlotte."
He turned back, silently waiting.
"I have a request. Could we fight together again, or at least train like before?"
"Meysa, your swordsmanship will soon rival mine, maybe even surpass it in a few years. You don't need me anymore."
Meysa quickly denied his words.
"That's not true, Lord Arlotte. You're my role model, and you'll always be, no matter what. I even see you as a father figure." A faint blush appeared on her cheeks.
"I'll think about it."
"Thank you, Lord Arlotte. Perhaps I'll visit tomorrow to see Hana; it's been too long, and I miss her."
"Alright."
After he disappeared from sight, Meysa cursed herself for her embarrassment.
"Silly Meysa, why did you act like you were in love? What if Lord Arlotte misunderstood?"
Once she calmed down, Meysa turned her gaze toward the Chancellor's office and decided to report her assignment.
Since she was already there, she thought, "I might as well report in."
Meysa slowly opened the door.
"Excuse me, Chancellor, sorry to disturb you. I'd like to report on the assignment you gave me."
Meysa stood by the desk, waiting for the Chancellor's response.
"Instructor Meysa, please have a seat."
Meysa sat on a sofa nearby.
The Chancellor of Dobra Magia Academy, Vivid De Dobra, was an eighth-semester Witch and a disaster-type Mage, whose every drop and inch of her power wreaked havoc. She was known as Lakavele Ohnisko (The Alluring Outbreak), and she was the granddaughter of the Academy's founder. No one knew her true age, as she looked far younger than anyone who had lived for centuries.
The Chancellor sat across from Meysa, crossing her fair, smooth legs.
"So, how did it go? Any issues?"
"None at all, ma'am. I handled everything."
"Good to hear. You're always reliable."
"Ma'am, I'd like to ask something."
"Go ahead."
"This might sound sudden, but don't you find the recent events rather odd?"
"What do you mean, Instructor?"
"I mean, what's the reason behind this increase in monster appearances and crime? Of course, I know there's no such thing as true peace, and we've faced worse dangers before, but this feels orchestrated, almost as if someone's planning it."
"I understand your concern, Instructor, but you know we're still investigating the cause. For now, I need you to focus on your duties and report any findings."
"The ViSa Sect managed to infiltrate."
"How did they get in? Aren't there barriers?"
"That's the question, ma'am. I suspect there's either a gap in the barrier that we haven't detected, or—"
"Or someone on the inside is letting them in," the Chancellor finished.
Meysa nodded.
"Thank you for your report, Instructor. I'll instruct the security council to tighten our defenses. We can't put the students at risk. And how did you deal with the intruder?"
"It wasn't me, but Professor FuPa."
"Did you learn anything from him?"
Meysa hesitated. She couldn't reveal that the intruder had entered through the Professor's portal.
"He didn't give us anything, so the Professor immediately disposed of him."
"Can you ask Professor FuPa to see me?"
"Understood. If that's all, I'll take my leave."
"Thank you again, Instructor."
"Anytime, ma'am."
After Meysa left, a figure emerged from the shadows.
"What are you really trying to do?"
"I'm just conducting an experiment."
"You think I'm foolish—"
Suddenly, a shadowy hand clutched the Chancellor's neck.
"You—what are you doing?"
The Chancellor's body slowly turned to liquid, and the substance quickly crawled along the shadowed hand.
"An acid clone? A cheap trick."
Before the liquid reached him, the shadow hand expanded, devouring the acid along with itself until they both disappeared.
"This is still Academy grounds; you'd be wise not to do anything foolish," the Chancellor said from her seat.
"Don't ever question my actions. Others may fear you, but I don't," the figure replied, vanishing back into the shadows.
