Yu Meiling's POV.
I stomped out of the room in anger, ignoring his call that I should come to take my clothes along with me, and I could swear I heard him cuss.
I was too angry and sad to think straight that I ended up using the stairs instead of the elevator.
I was already halfway through when my legs started aching.
"Damn! Damnit!!," I screamed in anger, hitting my bag against the wall, as my voice echoed in the deserted stairway.
After my rant, I bent to pick up the stuff that had fallen out of my bag when I hit it against the wall; then I sat on the staircase.
I reflected on what just happened; on my first day of working, I had poked my boss in the chest, I had talked back to one of the most respected artists of all time, and I had jeopardized my chances of working at RG. Entertainment because I can't take a little insult.
I let out a loud laughter, sounding like a mad woman even to my ears; luckily, the stairwell was deserted, and my voice echoed off it.
I dropped my head in my hands, feeling dejected and useless; just then, my phone vibrated against me.
I don't need to check the caller ID to know who it is; people rarely call me, not even my parents.
"Weiqing," I whispered into the phone as I picked up the call.
"Why are you sounding like you are on the verge of death? I was calling to ask you about your first day of work, but you sound like a lost puppy. Are you okay?" Weiqing asked from the other side of the phone.
"Qinqing, can you come pick me up?" I asked wretchedly.
"Of course, of course, where are you?"
I gave her Michael's address in Beijing's district, a place where rich members of society reside.
After I ended the call, I picked up my bag and continued on my way down the staircase; when I stepped out, my eyes met the eyes of the security man who had shown me to LinYan's floor.
He looked like he knew that something was wrong, but he was professional as he stepped back to allow me passage.
As I stepped into the sunlight, I stood there, looking like a lost puppy; I knew I must look very pitiful at that moment.
"Meiling, there you are, you sounded so unhappy on the phone," Weiqing was already saying as she walked towards me.
"Woah, this neighborhood is amazing; wait, LinYan lives in here; it must be nice; there is even security too," Weiqing was saying, looking around like he forgot that I was there, and surprisingly, the head of security smiled at Weiqing.
I felt like throwing a stone at him, men everywhere are always the same no matter what, the power of having a beautiful face.
"Yu Weiqing, I am right here, you know; I called you to pick me up, not to become a tourist," I said with annoyance, but Qinqing only smiled at me.
"Haya, MeiMei, don't tell me you don't find this place beautiful too," she said coming to me as she entwined her arms with mine.
Then she stopped and studied my face closely.
"Wait, you have been crying; what happened? You fought with your boss; no that's not possible; you just started. Did you fail the job assessment interview?" Weiqing started ranting at me.
"Let's go home first, I will tell you when we get home," I replied as I started dragging her along, not looking back at the building where LinYan resides.
"""""""""""""""""
LinYan's POV.
"I am firing that obnoxious girl," I yelled into the phone immediately after Mrs. Lee picked up.
I was seething with fury from the inside out; luckily, the piano was still intact; if not, my anger would be so much more than this.
"Micheal, do you want to ruin my eardrums, or should I be wary of picking up your calls from now on?" Mrs. Lee replied.at the other end of the line.
"Sorry, but I meant what I said, I am not working with that uncultured brat, in fact, I already fired her,"
"You did what?" Mrs. Lee asked with surprise.
"I fired her, I cannot stand someone so rude and annoying," I replied.
"LinYan, you cannot fire her; you were not the one who employed her, and even if you did decide she won't work with you, she is still an employee of RG. Entertainment," She said in a reasonable voice.
I don't care if she still works in the company or not, so long as I don't run into her.
"Find me a new assistant before my next tour, and not someone like her," I persisted.
"What did you say was her offense again?" Mrs. Lee asked, why do I feel like she is mocking me.
"She is rude and obnoxious, she is utterly uncultured," my response was near to being aggressive, it was so hard to accept that someone had spoken to me that way.
Not even my father will speak to me that way, I don't answer to anybody, and it is just hard to imagine a mere assistant, poking her hand into my chest.
"LinYan, you are rude and obnoxious, too; we did not stop you from singing now, did we?"
Now I know for a fact that she was teasing me.
"I can afford to be rude, she can't afford to be, and no matter how rude I am, I was never rude to my seniors," I replied and I could swear that I heard Mrs. Lee snicker in the background.
"Of course, you are right, I will work on finding you another assistant as soon as possible, hold out well for now," she said and ended the call.
Immediately I ended the call, I went to the damn luggage that the nuisance had left behind and decided to check what she had in there.
The first bag I opened had me dropping it so quickly, the bag contained a lot of cotton panties in different colors that looked as if they belonged to a young girl and not an adult
