I was escorted to the Academy's boys dorms by Kyra's assistant. He was blessed by the Norse God of strength, Thor.
The dude just can't seem to shut up about his strength. According to him, he can bench the moon (which I find hard to believe). According to him, he once fought 8 minators barehanded and won without a scratch.
At least his stories made the walk to the dorm less boring (although he could've just spent it giving me a tour) and his boasts somehow led him to carrying my luggages, great guy..
We stopped in front of a door numbered 609 and he unlocked it.
"This will be your room from now on Alex. And if you'd like, you can visit mine, room number 024, to hear more about my feats" Abel said and handed me the key. (He introduced himself somewhere in-between his stories).
"Thanks Abel" I took the key from him and walked inside the room.
Holy f*ck was the dorm room ..... Sorry, house big. Compared to my apartment, this was an entire mansion.
It had a room, living room, kitchen, dining room, study area and some bathrooms. No wonder the dorm building was so big. I guess the academy is f*cking rich.
It took a couple of minutes for me to get settled. A few minutes after, Abel delivered my uniform, schedule, the school rule book, my ID (when did they even get my picture) and a map (for new students).
I read through the rule book and my schedule. Guess my first lesson is early tomorrow. I closed the rule book and took a look at the academy map. It was like a hologram in which I could zoom in or out wherever I needed to.
It had different buildings, one was labeled hero course (that's where my classes will happen) and the others were for different career paths (like modeling, singer, farmer e.t.c).
Just as a side note, I noticed that the girls dorm was not that far the the boys. I neatly packed everything else and then hopped on the bed.
"Status" I called. It was finally time to check out what Nyx's gift was.

"I guess mother really did like you" Chibi Thanatos appeared from nowhere again.
"I wouldn't say that, not after what happened earlier" Alex said, shivering from the memory. "By the way thank you for what you did back there."
"Don't worry about it, I couldn't just let my successor die like that" he replied.
"I see. So why are you here?" I asked feeling curious.
"Oh nothing, just wanted to comment on Mom's gift to you. See ya later" Chibi said and disappeared.
"Sigh, I wish he'd stop doing that. Anyway, I'll just take a shower and tour the school" I got up and entered the bathroom.

A few minutes later, I was done with my shower and I gotta admit, that was one good shower.
I dressed in something casual, hung my tag on my neck, took the map and exited my room.
Following the routes the map showed, I got myself familiarized with the academy's layout. The Academy had everything inside, coffee shops, malls, supermarkets — whatever the students might need.
During my tour—I passed by a lot of students, most were just conversing and hanging ouy with friends. No one seemed to mind me, which I was totally fine with and completely used to.
I decided to conclude my tour and go back to the dorm, but I heard a familiar voice from behind making me pause.
"Hey, Alex right?" The girl from earlier, Mia, was the one who called out and was walking up to me.
"Yes, Thanks for earlier Mia" I replied when she got close enough.
"It's no problem. So, whatcha doing right now" she asked.
"I was touring the academy" I answered as we started walking.
"Well you're in luck because I have nothing to do right now, so I'll guide you" she said sounding excited.
"Thanks " I simply said, cancelling my plan to return to the dorms.

A couple of minutes later, Mia had shown me most of the main spots in the academy and we were currently headed to the Combat room.
"Why are we heading to the combat room again?" I asked her.
"It's the most fun place in the entire Academy, so there's no way I'm not showing it to you" she said still as excited as she had been when we started this tour.
We entered the combat room....Room was not to be used to describe what we were in. Because this was a freaking coliseum, although modern but still. It had the viewers seat arranged in a circular form and an arena in the center.
But the coliseum/ combat room was not unoccupied. In the arena was a boy with flaming red hair practicing.
"What's so fun about this place?" I asked Mia.
"You'll see soon" she answered and turned back to the arena "Yo flame boy!!"
She called out, causing the practicing boy to stop and look in our direction.
"Oh, it's just you. What's up Mia?" He asked with a light smile on his face "And who's the new guy?".
"This is Alex, a new student and your training partner for today" she said with a grin.
"What ?!" I shouted in shock.
This was not how I envisioned my first day at the Academy.
