Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: A Nap That Wasn't a Nap

Theresa wiped her hands clean and tossed the tissue into the trash. Yet her hands still felt sticky somehow, and even after licking them clean, that sensation lingered. Only after washing them repeatedly with alcohol did she feel somewhat better.

Meanwhile, Jun'an had reached his own conclusions about lap pillows - Himeko's was more comfortable, though prolonged use could get uncomfortable due to the height difference. The advantage was that he could immediately experience that maternal sensation.

As for Theresa, she was better suited as a hugging pillow - petite, soft, lightweight, and accommodating

Thus, after two hours of a nap that wasn't really a nap, the two began their date for the day.

Jun'an changed into comfortable clothes, while Theresa donned the nun's habit she used to favor wearing.

Walking down the street, Jun'an let out a yawn. "That was such a comfortable sleep. If only it could have lasted longer."

"It's already afternoon. Save the rest for tonight," Theresa said with resignation as she looked at Jun'an. His fatigue had indeed eased considerably, transforming from desperate sleepiness to the simple desire for a morning lie-in.

Theresa couldn't help but tease: "Back when the Captain was human, you could work twenty-five hours a day. Now look at you—you've really lost your edge."

"Yeah, even though I have more rest time than before, I somehow feel more tired."

Jun'an sighed helplessly, figuring it was probably because he hadn't yet adjusted from his comfortable life on Earth. After all, who wouldn't feel drained after being squeezed eight or nine times a day by two fusion warriors with a shota complex?!

Not only did women have faster recovery times than men, but they were also almost unlimited in frequency. Jun'an felt he was already quite strong - it was this useless system-created body that was inadequate.

[Protest: The host's physical strength is determined by dungeon difficulty and host points, unrelated to this system.]

[Seconded: If you don't want to continue, you can protest to them instead of slandering this system's capabilities.]

I'm just saying... right now both Theresa and Himeko are in an excited state with heated minds. Let's just go along with them for a couple more days.

When they calm down, I can tease them about all this.

[That'll just get you ravished again.]

Jun'an naturally ignored the system. It only appeared when issuing tasks or when he cursed at it - completely useless as a conversation partner.

"But since rest time is over, it's date time. Where should we go? Just wander aimlessly?"

Because the date was a suddenly added clause, Jun'an had barely any preparation before Theresa forcefully changed his clothes and brought him to Long Kong City.

Unlike the original plot, Long Kong City hadn't been completely destroyed by the Honkai thanks to Jun'an's efforts. Though the Honkai still erupted, Jun'an had managed to stabilize the situation.

Because the impact of the Honkai disaster was reduced, the city had been rebuilt remarkably quickly, regaining its former prosperity in just one year.

Jun'an and Theresa strolled through the city together. The towering buildings resembled those of Earth's metropolises, though with more prevalent artificial intelligence and robot restaurants.

Theresa hadn't been able to go out and play for a long time, and even with her Herrscher handbook, she seemed somewhat uncertain.

"Should we follow the normal route?" Theresa asked Jun'an's opinion. "Amusement park, aquarium, cinema, and love hotel."

"Skip the last one."

Seeing that Theresa had no plan either, Jun'an simply headed straight for KFC.

"Hiss... why are there so many people?"

Jun'an looked at the queues in the commercial street - the entire KFC restaurant was almost full, and this wasn't even peak hours.

Theresa was curious too. "Probably some event going on. Captain, let's go check it out."

Just as Jun'an and Theresa approached, they immediately heard someone shout: "Divine Fire Unleashed!"

Jun'an was completely bewildered. "What the..."

Theresa peered over and quickly checked her phone. "Ah, found it. It's the collaboration that Susannah and others mentioned the day before..."

Theresa showed Jun'an her phone. It turned out to be a collaboration between Schicksal and KFC, featuring... the Hyperion. And as the Hyperion's only captain, Jun'an's image had been printed on the poster.

But the image had undoubtedly been beautified - even Jun'an doubted if it was really him.

"Wait, they can collaborate with anything?" Jun'an's eyes showed great confusion. "My memorial day just passed!"

"Uh..." Theresa's gaze wandered, her small hand holding Jun'an's starting to sweat. "Actually, this was supposed to be on your memorial day, but it got delayed to today because of my work."

"And Captain, please don't be angry. We absolutely didn't have any intention of partying on your memorial day. It's just that your memorial day happens to be the anniversary of our victory over the Honkai, so..."

Jun'an immediately understood. It was like how soldiers might die on National Day - some celebrate while others mourn. It's normal.

Moreover, Theresa had genuinely visited his grave and shed tears for him that day.

Nevertheless, Jun'an pretended to look hurt. "I suppose it's fitting that a small fry like me would be forgotten after sacrifice. But to think that as a great contributor, my image rights would be sold for profit by my closest people, and on my memorial day no less. How heartbreaking~"

Despite the Captain's poor acting, Theresa couldn't help feeling guilty. Regarding image rights alone, she was indeed in the wrong—after all, she had Amber sign the papers.

Theresa said helplessly, "I apologize for this matter. What can I do for the Captain to forgive me?"

"The Lunar Splendor armor."

"Hm?"

"Tonight, Blood Knight: Lunar Splendor. You know what I mean, right?" Jun'an said with a serious face.

"But that's for combat..."

Theresa blushed instantly upon understanding Jun'an's meaning, but after brief consideration, she nodded.

Afterward, the two had lunch nearby. Of course, due to the many cosplayers around, no one realized Jun'an and Theresa were the real deal.

But for Jun'an, cosplaying anime characters in an anime world felt somewhat strange, especially when people shouted "Divine Fire Unleashed" while wielding handmade Judah replicas for KFC collaboration merchandise. Jun'an found it all rather cringe-worthy.

Theresa was secretly laughing beside him, while sipping the collaboration special drink - bitter gourd juice - to suppress her giggles.

"Keep laughing. Wait until someone starts shouting 'Divine Barrier' with Judah, see if you're still laughing then."

Later, hearing about a Schicksal collaboration cosplay convention nearby with a cosplay competition, Jun'an immediately wanted to drag Theresa there to browse and have her participate in the competition.

Theresa was somewhat worried. "Wouldn't it be cheating if the real person participates?"

"Then you could cosplay as Kiana, Kallen, or Cecilia - you all have blue eyes and white hair anyway."

Jun'an didn't care much. Unless Theresa displayed her combat power, no one would believe the Far East Branch Director would personally attend.

"Then will you cosplay as yourself, Captain?" Theresa suggested, "If you go, I'll go."

Finally, due to Theresa's suggestion, Jun'an had no choice but to change into a random outfit and go on stage with her.

The judge happened to be a Valkyrie from Schicksal who had once witnessed Jun'an in battle. She naturally didn't recognize the miniaturized Jun'an, so Jun'an only got sixth place cosplaying himself, not even second place.

Theresa, on the other hand, got third place.

The reason given was that although the imitation was very similar, even Judah being identical, the current Principal Theresa was now Schicksal's High Priestess and should be more mature. For example, the bust measurement appeared one size smaller than Principal Theresa's official specifications.

After getting off stage, Jun'an held back his laughter. "Theresa, don't get angry, but let me ask you something - do you pad your chest for public appearances?"

"Captain, you don't believe in me either?!"

Theresa was instantly enraged upon hearing this, wanting to find that judge and demand to know who wrote those official specifications!

Fake! They must be fake!
