Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Three Lies of Men

In the end, Jun'an couldn't survive Theresa's red anger. When the bed became unusable, they had to lay out bedding on the floor and use the couch after taking their showers.

Early in the morning, Theresa changed her clothes, put on her stockings, and looked at Jun'an with smug satisfaction. "Well? Still want to try again?"

"Yes," Jun'an replied while holding his waist, letting out a groan that made him sound fifty years older, "but my back hurts..."

Yesterday, Theresa had been genuinely angry. To prevent Jun'an from getting off easy, she had even used her Honkai energy to enhance her strength, keeping little Jun'an in a perpetually energetic state.

Even though Jun'an had tried his best, a Fusion Warrior was still a Fusion Warrior—when they got serious, there was no winning against them.

Although Theresa wanted to taunt the Captain by saying "just average," she remembered yesterday's events and thought better of it.

The Captain was great in every way except for his peculiar thought processes. This time she had barely appeared in the communication screen, but next time he might decide to livestream everything to Himeko.

So Theresa could only tidy up her room after getting up, warning him: "Do this again, and I'll snap it off!"

She seemed serious enough that Jun'an felt a chill run down his spine.

After this experience, Theresa made some mental notes: get a spare bed for next time, and don't drink too much water before bed.

"I've prepared breakfast for both of you."

Seeing Theresa emerge from the room with an awkward gait, Himeko couldn't help but laugh. "Theresa, aren't you supposed to be the strongest Fusion Warrior? How did you get this weak after just a short while?"

Though they hadn't seen each other for just one day, thanks to the Captain's efforts, Theresa was now barely able to walk straight.

"We both lost," Theresa said as she sat down on the chair, maintaining a defiant expression.

But Himeko was alarmed—both lost? Against Theresa, the strongest modern-day Fusion Warrior?

"How's the Captain doing? Is he still... functional?"

Theresa froze, recalling her rampage from last night, and replied sheepishly, "He should be... fine... I think? He still managed morning wood, so that function should be okay, but his magazine is probably empty, so..."

"So he's basically out of commission?"

A gun without ammo is just a stick.

Himeko wasn't sure how wild things had gotten with Theresa yesterday, but Theresa's mood had definitely improved, even if she tried not to show it. The expression of pleasure mixed with pain as she reminisced about last night was plain to see.

"Well, it's your turn today, so whether he's functional or not is your problem!"

Theresa quickly deflected responsibility, wolfed down her breakfast, chugged a bottle of fresh bitter gourd juice, and rushed off to work remotely.

Himeko sighed helplessly and went to check on the Captain's condition.

Jun'an had already changed clothes, but despite his young age, he moved like an old man with back pain—clearly suffering from kidney exhaustion. Theresa had probably helped him change.

"Captain, are you alright?"

Himeko approached Theresa's bed.

"Not at all."

Jun'an sighed helplessly. He felt like all his strength had been drained, and only with Himeko's support could he barely leave the bedroom.

"At this rate, I might develop a fear of women."

"Taking advantage and then complaining—that's exactly your type."

Himeko was speechless. Did he realize who he'd shared a bed with?

Leaving aside Theresa's position as the Principal of Schicksal, just considering her delicate features, legal loli appearance of a twelve-year-old going on forty-five, with white hair and extended shelf life—just these points alone would hit many men's preferences.

Even as a woman, Himeko knew that terms like "loli," "Schicksal Principal" (female boss), "adoptive mother," and "childhood friend"—any single one of these could be its own category, let alone the fact that for Jun'an, this wasn't even role-play.

Fear of women? Him? It was purely post-clarity syndrome.

The three lies of men were just like this: "We're just friends," "I'll just put it in a little," and "This is the last time, really."

Hmph, men—who would believe them?

After helping Jun'an to his seat, she brought out the breakfast specially prepared for him. "Deer antler lotus seed soup, deer blood soup, five-treasure tonic soup, plus rice and porridge with wolfberries. Ginseng for dessert. Eat up."

Looking at this spread, the breakfast was almost as lavish as dinner.

"You got up early to make all this?"

Jun'an frowned. "Are you trying to over-nourish me to death or drain me dry?"

"You're this weak and you don't want supplements?"

Himeko looked at Jun'an helplessly. "Honestly, I was hesitant at first, but I didn't expect Theresa to wear you out this much."

As for whether he was too weak for supplements, the Captain was still A-rank at his weakest.

"..."

Jun'an silently ate his wolfberries, admitting that this was partly his own doing.

But looking at the food in his hands and Himeko's watchful gaze, Jun'an still felt apprehensive. "I really don't have a single drop left."

Himeko teased, "Don't worry, if you squeeze hard enough, there's always more."

Jun'an could only bury his head in his food, hoping his stomach would digest quickly and his recovery ability would be strong enough to regenerate sufficient cells within a few hours.

Seeing the Captain's defeated expression, Himeko's mood improved somewhat. "Alright, I'll stop teasing you. Today we'll have a normal date, no pranks."

"Really?" Jun'an was skeptical. Based on past behavior, Himeko seemed even more insatiable than Theresa.

"Despite how I am now, back in college I really wanted to have a normal romance with someone I liked."

Before finishing college, Himeko had been a normal person. Unfortunately, her father took a wrong turn and passed away. To investigate the truth, she joined Schicksal and underwent the Stigmata surgery that left her with limited time. Combined with Captain Ragna's influence, this led to her "seize the day" mentality.

This resulted in her somewhat wild behavior, even leading to those embarrassing incidents when sleeping with young Jun'an.

"But now it's different,"

Himeko looked at Jun'an with affection in her eyes. "All those things I didn't have time for before, I now have plenty of time to complete slowly."

"Captain Ragna and the others have been revived by you, so I don't need to live for their share anymore. I can live at my own pace."

"Now, I can always be with the Captain, going on dates, experiencing all sorts of things together, having a normal romance, loving and missing each other."

This was Himeko's true feelings. The only difference from before was that she used to have no time, but now she no longer needed to rush.

"But what we have isn't exactly normal, right?"

Jun'an pointed out. After all, even he hadn't expected that the two most proper authority figures would team up to exploit him. Theresa's invitation had already shocked Jun'an, but what was more shocking was that Himeko had agreed.

"If I had been first, I definitely wouldn't want to share the Captain with anyone."

Himeko was quite helpless about this. "But what can I do? Theresa made the first move."

Since she couldn't be the only one, at least she could have a share.

Jun'an quickly finished his breakfast and began his date with Himeko.

Unlike yesterday's impromptu date with Theresa, today Himeko had already planned out their date. Jun'an just needed to enjoy a normal date.

Before getting into Himeko's car, she specifically asked, "Captain, did you bring your wallet? ID card too?"

Jun'an nodded and took out his ID card.

"Good,"

Himeko got in her car, had Jun'an sit in the passenger seat, and immediately drove toward the city center.

And Himeko's first destination was very clear: the Civil Affairs Bureau, Marriage Registration Office.
