Haven took a deep breath as if she had been holding it. "Laura is nice, but Natalia…"
Maya let out a short laugh. "She is unfriendly and grumpy, I know."
"She will warm up to you later. For now, you are just a stranger."
Haven pursed her lips. "I hope so."
"Let's take a stroll."
"Okay," Maya stretched her arms lazily
"Let me help you." Haven took her hand and assisted her out of bed.
"Let's explore the maze garden!" Haven suggested enthusiastically.
"I wanted to suggest that too," Maya chuckled as she looked out the window. She could see the maze garden, a zigzag of greenery that made her eager to explore. She is glad she was moved to this room. She gets to see the maze every day from her window!
