A grotesque, towering monster appeared in the purple pale moonlight. Its shoulders were massive and bulky, but its malformed face was the size of Kaiju's head. Its colossal, sturdy chest has a web-like splinter, revealing its bloody layer of skin. Its waist thinned, as though its upper torso and lower torso was tied by a wire.
Its claws were enormous, both its hands and feet, terrifying Snow to the core. Everytime it took a step forward, the earth lightly shook. Staring at its mini face menacingly smiling with its immense pair of crimson eyes, Snow was intimidated.
Nevertheless, she did not dare to back down, continuing to hiss in warning, but the more she resisted… the more the curve on the monster's lips widened.
It even reached the point where it revealed irregular yellow teeth, filled with cracks yet razor sharp at its end.
Snow slowly recognized the threat the monster had towards them, so she did not have a choice but to slap her dainty tail to wake up her master repeatedly in a desperate manner.
At the same time, she was increasing the noise of her hiss – to falsely intimidate the monster while trying to wake her master up.
However, stealing a peek at her master, seemingly closing its eyes as though he was in deep meditation caused her to worry more.
Anxiously hissing, her mind descended into chaos, not having the chance to think straight more.
As she was about to be consumed by distress, she realized her dainty tail was just slapping air.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She quickly turned around and saw no one but just an eerie view of the purple moonlight gleaming through the crown of trees, illuminating the gargantuan trunk and roots in dark shade.
She could not see her master.
Did he perhaps run away?
She thought, not until she was taken aback by the thundering roar reverberated behind her. She hastily turned around and saw her master standing in front of the grotesque monster, as the latter screamed in… pain?
Her eyes caught a sharp object on her master's hand filled with viscous green blood. She glanced at her master's face and saw it was solemn and menacing.
She hurriedly tried to grasp what was happening… why did her master suddenly have a sharp weapon, the grotesque monster screaming in pain, and they seemingly having a duel?
As she was trying to comprehend the strange events, the grotesque monster finally made its move, elevating both its claws and swiping it towards her master.
She drew a cold breath, discerning the time stopped, staring intently at her master full of worries.
However, her master once again vanished and the grotesque monster screamed in excruciating pain again.
Its mini face contorted into anger and agony, its chest moved forward after its back was assaulted.
Snow hastily slithered forward, determined to aid her master in killing the grotesque monster.
Now, she was relieved, not having a clear idea of what happened to her master but she assumed her master and her could eliminate the grotesque monster without problem.
She caught a glimpse of her master's silhouette behind the grotesque monster's back as its mini face hastily turned it around while its claws attempted to catch its attacker desperately.
Snow realized she had the chance, so she did not hesitate anymore to utilize her skill, Swift Dash, bolting like a lightning towards the mini face of the grotesque monster.
With her intelligence, she recognized how sturdy the grotesque monster's body was – although there were splinters on its upper torso, revealing the vulnerable part of its body, it was deeper than her fangs could pierce through.
Hence, she wisely decided to attack the mini face's back while it was being distracted by her master.
As she was about to arrive and about to bite the back of the grotesque monster's mini face with her poisonous fangs, she suddenly saw a flash of strange white light, slashing the center of the mini face.
She was terrified, discerning if the flash reached her, she would instantly die.
Her heart raced, but since her movement could not be stopped, she still went ahead and bit the mini face of the monster with her face full of rage.
After all, as a beast, she was conceited, so having feared the grotesque monster made her feel ashamed of herself.
A second pass of biting particularly almost on the neck on the back of the grotesque monster's mini face, she suddenly sensed an enormous amount of liquid slapping her whole body.
She closed her eyes instinctually, still continuing to bite the grotesque monster while instilling it with poison, speculating the monster was on its last struggle.
She tightened her bite, her face filled with viscous green blood was overflowing with madness.
She only desires one thing – to kill the grotesque monster at all cost.
"Snow!" She snapped awake when she heard her master calling her. "Stop what you are doing. It's already dead."
She quickly opened her eyes and hastily closed it when the green blood almost seeped through her eyes. She squinted and saw an empty part of the grotesque monster's mini head.
The center of its mini head was cleanly cut, severed veins and bones became conspicuous. Her mind turned blank, not understanding what happened.
"Snow, come down. I'm right below you."
Snow slowly pulled her fangs out of the mini head's neck, and slowly turned around and below.
There, he saw her master staring innocently at her with his eyes full of concern, gazing at her.
She blankly followed his orders and jumped towards her.
She was embraced by her master's soft hands, seemingly receiving her with care.
"Look at you now. You are dampened with green blood. It's gross. Let me clean you."
Her body was being rubbed by her master's piece of cloth, from her tails until her face. When her master was rubbing her cheeks, she stared intently at her master, attempting to communicate with him through their thoughts.
Her master seemed to have understood her inquiry, and replied, "I cut its face. Thanks for your skill, Swift Dash, I manage to take it by surprise. Still, that was dangerous. He's terrifying."
Yet, Snow could not spot a single hint of her master being terrified by the grotesque monster.
She could clearly remember how solemn her master was when confronting the towering, grotesque monster.
That solemn countenance seemed to have been supported by extreme concentration and decisiveness without fear.
At this point, she began to realize it would be difficult to grasp her master from then on.
