Chapter 227 - Chapter 227: The T6 Mechanoid Warship

Seeing this, Zhongming nodded in agreement, and he and Gu Jun paid no mind to the commander who had been silenced by Feng Mo's threat. After all, he had only himself to blame for provoking someone like Feng Mo, who had annihilated over ten T5 fleets. Zhongming could already envision that commander's eventual fate with a smirk.

Of course, Feng Mo wasn't one to hold grudges, but Xiao Ye was, and he had already transmitted the background information on this commander, Ni Kun, directly to Feng Mo. Ni Kun was the commander of the Stardust Fleet, one of the two fleets under the Xinghe Empire, just over a hundred years old and a Level 4 genetic warrior with over a thousand years of life expectancy. Given his youthful arrogance, Feng Mo could understand his bravado.

As Feng Mo left the command center, he received a message from Gu Jun: he had managed to secure another opportunity for Feng Mo to choose an item from the Federation Treasury if the mission succeeded. Feng Mo chuckled; he and Uncle Gu's coordination was becoming seamless, almost telepathic.

The next morning, the addition of the Storm Fleet had greatly bolstered the morale of the Federation forces. Especially with Feng Mo's promise to deal with the T6 Mechanoid warship himself, the fleet's confidence surged. With his history of winning against greater odds, they felt they could rely on the Storm Fleet's strength.

Early in the day, Feng Mo assembled Mello and her sister, commanders of the T5 Mystic Bird stealth bombers, and Han Peipei, commander of the Battle Planet, for a briefing.

"Today, we're facing a T6 Mechanoid warship," he began. "Its firepower needs no further explanation—you've seen the footage. It's critical that we strike decisively, leaving no chance for it to retaliate. Otherwise, with the fragility of the stealth bombers, a single hit from that T6 warship would be catastrophic. Understood?"

Feng Mo's strategy was simple: the Battle Planet, reinforced with Starmark Metal and protected by a dark energy matrix shield, could withstand a hit from the T6 warship, allowing it to counterattack. The Battle Planet's firepower would be more than sufficient to breach the Mechanoid warship's shield, and once that was done, the T5 Mystic Bird bombers would finish the job.

After reviewing the strategy, Feng Mo dismissed them to prepare. He then ordered the Storm Fleet to make ready. Soon, Vermilion Bird Star Fortress opened its ports, and a multitude of starships departed at high speed. Under Feng Mo's command, the Storm Fleet held back, preparing to employ the tactic of "dimensional reduction," which had worked so effectively against the Humanoid Alliance.

The ten T5 Mystic Bird stealth bombers moved ahead, cloaking themselves upon reaching the battlefield, while the Battle Planet stayed near the Yunshan Fleet, ready to bait the T6 warship into attacking.

As the battle erupted, the Storm Fleet held back, staying near an asteroid belt to monitor the situation. Feng Mo received a series of videos and coordinates, detailing each Mechanoid fleet's current status. He picked his first target: the seventh Mechanoid fleet, heavily damaged from previous skirmishes.

Watching the live footage of the ongoing battle, Feng Mo calmly issued his orders. "Prepare to charge all T5 cluster annihilation cannons, regular annihilation cannons, and primary and secondary cannons. Whale-class, release all T5 drones. Pegasus and Sword Dragon-class, ready the interstellar missiles!"

At his command, the Storm Fleet began to power up, glowing with an array of lights as the Pegasus and Sword Dragon-class ships loaded their missiles, awaiting Feng Mo's signal.

"Fleet Steed, open the warp gate to the designated coordinates," Feng Mo ordered. The Fleet Steed's hull glowed with brilliant blue light as beams of energy converged to form a massive portal in space.

"Storm Fleet, move out! Enter the warp gate!"

As the Storm Fleet moved, Han Peipei directed the Battle Planet to support the Yunshan Fleet, pinning down two Mechanoid fleets. She refrained from firing the T5 Blackhole-Class Annihilation Cannon, instead using the cluster annihilation cannons to destroy Mechanoid ships one by one. The Battle Planet's combined laser and neutron cannon fire created an effect even stronger than five Pegasus-class bombardments.

Unlike missiles, which could be intercepted at a rate of around 60%, laser cannon interception was much lower, only about 17%. This made the Battle Planet a standout force on the battlefield, annihilating nearly a hundred T5 Mechanoid ships in one salvo. Unable to hold back any longer, the Mechanoids sent out their T6 warship.

"Alert! The Battle Planet's radar has detected a T6 energy signature. It's the T6 Mechanoid warship. The Battle Planet has been locked by the target's energy weapon. Activating maximum shield capacity, commencing defensive fire."

An electronic voice announced the warning, causing brief commotion within the Battle Planet's control room. Few could remain unshaken by the threat of a T6 warship, but the seasoned crew regained composure within seconds.

A deep blue beam shot directly at the Battle Planet, splitting into multiple beams along its path, destroying several T5 ships. Han Peipei had no choice but to accept these necessary sacrifices and issued her command:

"Mello, prepare for action. Battle Planet has locked onto the T6 Mechanoid warship. Charging the T5 Blackhole-Class Annihilation Cannon and two T5 cluster annihilation cannons!"

These cannons had been reserved specifically for this moment against the T6 warship, creating the impression that the Battle Planet's cannons had been in cooldown until now.

As the Battle Planet's radar scanned the T6 Mechanoid warship in detail, Han Peipei noted its impressive design. The warship was sleek and technological, measuring only about 5 km by 1 km by 900 meters, comparable in size to a T5 battleship.

However, she dared not underestimate it. The enormous main cannon on the Mechanoid warship was intimidating, even larger in diameter than the Battle Planet's Blackhole-Class Annihilation Canon. This enemy was not to be taken lightly.
