Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: Arrival at the Radiant Prime Star

September 3, Galactic Federation Year 7495

Feng Mo once again arrived at the Radiant Star System aboard the Hurricane. Unlike his last hurried visit, this trip was more leisurely, allowing him to stay on the Radiant Prime Star for a few extra days.

Miss Chu had been holding quite a grudge against him lately. Reflecting on this, Feng Mo realized that since confirming their relationship, he had barely spent time with her, always focused on developing his territory. It was always Miss Chu who made the trips to visit him.

Without hesitation, Chu Yunjian had even provided him with the blueprints for a T3-level interstellar space station, complete with laboratory and research facility designs. Feng Mo had already forwarded these blueprints to Alisa, who responded with a weary smile—her workload had increased once again. From initially building starships for Feng Mo, she now had the added responsibility of constructing star gates and space stations.

Alisa had become indispensable to Feng Mo's forces. He had given her special permissions, allowing her to freely select talent from the newly arrived personnel from the Celestial Cloud System and to recruit starship designers from the interstellar dwarves to serve as captains of industrial ships. These privileges underscored Feng Mo's appreciation for Alisa, who, despite her love for snacks, had become crucial to his operations.

At Radiant Prime Star's Dock No. 1, Feng Mo stepped off the light beam along with Hua Qin, only to see a figure darting toward him. With a smile, he spread his arms and caught her in an embrace.

"I missed you so much!" Chu Yunjian murmured. Feng Mo gently inhaled her scent and whispered, "I missed you too. This time, I can stay with you a bit longer."

Feng Mo had the luxury of time because he had delegated all pressing matters. The military affairs of his four star systems were now under Ai Er's unified command. Following a reorganization, five major fleets were established: each tasked with guarding one of the four systems and protecting Feng Mo himself.

Ai Er led the Storm Fleet, responsible for Feng Mo's personal security. Laikalai was in charge of the Explorer Fleet, overseeing the Hurricane System, while Kailan commanded the Elf Fleet, safeguarding the Storm System. Silia led the White Hole Defense Fleet, protecting both the White Hole and Celestial Crystal Systems, with Alisa supporting her fleet's expansion. The final fleet, Beast Roar, was yet to be formed due to Alisa's workload. It was likely to be handed to Hua Qin once established.

This meant Feng Mo would soon need a new secretary. Chu Yunjian led Feng Mo out of the spaceport and into a flying car, which took them to a grand estate marked with the Feng Residence plaque. Gesturing at the estate, she said, "From now on, this is your home in the Radiant Star System, our temporary base."

She took Feng Mo's hand and led him into the estate, with Hua Qin trailing behind. They reached the central villa, where she placed a lead box gently on the floor before turning back to return to the Hurricane. Hua Qin knew she needn't worry about Feng Mo's safety here; protected by T4 battle armor and the Chu and Hua families' security forces, his safety was well-ensured.

Chu Yunjian guided Feng Mo to the living room and playfully pushed him onto the sofa before throwing herself into his embrace. In a soft voice, she said, "Second Uncle has already arranged for you to meet Professor Luo tomorrow morning to have the three interstellar seeds appraised."

Smiling, Feng Mo gently stroked her face. "Thank you, Yunjian. I really want to show my appreciation... so much that I'll make sure you can't get out of bed tomorrow."

With that, he scooped her onto his shoulder and carried her upstairs, where they engaged in a fierce yet playful "battle." As for who emerged victorious, it was hard to say; like a fertile field, she had more than enough stamina to keep up, ending the night in a draw.

The Next Morning

When Feng Mo opened his eyes, he saw Chu Yunjian asleep in his arms. Satisfied with his efforts from the previous night, he gently whispered, "Miss Chu, it's time to wake up. Remember, we have an appointment with Professor Luo today."

Chu Yunjian stirred, her head resting on his shoulder as she murmured and slowly opened her drowsy eyes. Realizing what he meant, a blush crept over her face as she buried herself back into his arms. Feng Mo chuckled, carrying her to the bathroom, where they freshened up. Afterward, he helped her dress, and they left the estate hand in hand, heading toward the outskirts of the main city.

Situated on the city's outskirts was a research company—on the surface, at least. In reality, it was a military laboratory hidden in plain sight. When Feng Mo and Chu Yunjian exited the flying car, her Second Uncle, General Xiang Rong, was already waiting for them at the entrance.

"Thank you for coming to greet us, Uncle," Feng Mo greeted him warmly.

"We're all family here, no need to be so formal. Besides, this is military territory; anyone entering must register. With me here, you two won't need to worry about that."

Leading them into the research facility, Xiang Rong waved away the salutes of the soldiers at the door and guided them into a secure elevator. Instead of buttons, he placed an identification card under a scanner.

"Identity confirmed. Welcome, General Xiang Rong, to the Military Laboratory."

With this electronic greeting, the elevator began descending—at least a thousand meters, Feng Mo estimated—before stopping. They entered a vast, futuristic space spanning tens of thousands of square meters. Researchers in white coats worked intently with complex machinery, and Xiang Rong led them to a private room at the far end.

"Knock knock."

A faint voice answered, "Come in." It was the elderly Professor Luo. The door opened, revealing a research space void of artificial intelligence, relying instead on semi-intelligent systems.

The three entered to find Professor Luo busy at his desk, recording data. He looked up, nodded in acknowledgment, then returned to his work. They waited quietly until, about half an hour later, he finally finished and poured each of them a cup of water.

"So, you're Duke Feng Mo," he began. "I remember examining an ancient Life-Devouring Tree for you two years ago. When little Xiang mentioned someone needed an appraisal for interstellar seeds, I suspected it might be you."

His tone was respectful, not flattering, showing a simple respect for Feng Mo's title and status as a lord.
