Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: The Colossus of the Stars

"Father, we must leave Beast Roar Star System immediately. I swear I'll help you rise again, and when we do, we'll bring utter annihilation to the Starsea Human Federation!" Mengge pleaded, his voice filled with desperation.

The Pope turned slowly, looking down at Mengge, the last of the four children he had taken in. Decades of planning and resources in this star system had been destroyed, and even if he survived, the Church would undoubtedly punish him. Perhaps it was better to end everything here with the Storm Fleet.

"Child, it's too late. I've already released it. Both you and I will serve as its first meal. In a way, we should feel honored."

The Pope's eyes glistened with a manic light, while Mengge's face twisted in terror at the mention of "it." His fear of this entity far outweighed his dread of the Storm Fleet beyond.

Meanwhile, Feng Mo was coordinating the fleet's encirclement of the New Human Church's forces, with Feng Tianyi leading a mecha squad to locate the Church's underground laboratory on Beast Roar Prime.

The planet's surface teemed with massive beasts, each one several times larger than the creatures typically found on life-bearing planets. These enormous creatures posed a significant obstacle to the mecha squad, which had to fend them off while searching for the hidden laboratory.

"Captain, these creatures are enormous—some are as big as T2 mechas. I suggest we hold back and consult Lord Feng for further orders," suggested a clan member. Over time, Feng Mo had recruited numerous Feng family members, but while they weren't part of the Storm Fleet, they were an integral part of the mecha teams in his three main fleets.

For Feng Mo, they represented his final line of defense, and the Feng family mecha pilots, under Feng Tianyi's leadership, maintained a low profile and were highly disciplined.

Seeing the surge of massive beasts before him, Feng Tianyi felt a shiver run down his spine. Though these creatures couldn't break through the mechas' outer armor, their sheer numbers would be a significant hindrance to the search. The T3 mechas didn't carry heavy weaponry, which made things even more challenging.

"Let's fall back and report to Lord Feng. This beast tide is too extensive, and a hundred mechas aren't enough to locate the lab in a short time. We'll need a T4-class starship for this mission."

As the mecha squad prepared to take off, the beast tide abruptly halted, as if an invisible wall had forced the creatures to their knees. The earth shook, and every beast, even the towering black-furred gorillas and colossal dinosaurs, bowed their heads, trembling.

With his battle instincts honed from years of service, Feng Tianyi felt a surge of unease. "Something's not right. All units, full speed ahead—depart Beast Roar Prime!"

The squad's 100 mechas accelerated toward the blazing Beast Roar Starport. But they were too late. The ground split open with a thunderous crack, and a massive fissure appeared, as though cleaving the planet in two. Emerging from this crevice was a colossal beast.

The creature stretched over 300 meters long, its head resembling that of a serpent, and its maw as large as a train car. It had the body of a lion, tiger-like claws, and broad wings that spanned over 200 meters. Each of its four limbs was thicker than the torsos of the T3 mechas that fled before it. The monster held two smaller creatures in its jaws, which it tossed back and swallowed with a chilling roar, echoing across the planet.

Stunned by the sight, the mecha squad drew sharp breaths. While size didn't necessarily correlate with strength, the sheer scale of this beast was intimidating. The T3 Zirconium mechas, though only 18.8 meters tall, were well-armed and sturdy. However, in the eyes of this titan, they were little more than insects.

Thankfully, Feng Tianyi had anticipated the danger, ordering an immediate retreat. He knew that, though the squad might eventually slay the creature, it would likely come at the cost of several lives. For Feng Tianyi, preserving the lives of his Feng family brethren was paramount.

As the beast landed, it smashed the ground beneath it, sending debris flying across the surface. The surrounding beasts continued to cower, even as the massive stones rained down upon them.

The beast's blood-red eyes scanned its surroundings. Its keen ears caught a distant sound—the roaring engines of the starships at Beast Roar Starport. With a gleam of bloodlust in its eyes, it unfurled its wings and took flight, heading toward the starport.

Onboard the Hurricane, Feng Mo watched the radar display, where the red dots representing the New Human Church fleet were gradually turning gray, signaling their defeat.

"Sir, Feng Tianyi requests a video call," reported Hua Qin. Feng Mo nodded, thinking Tianyi might have located the Church's underground lab.

As the video feed connected, Feng Mo saw the burning ruins of Beast Roar Starport in the background and sensed a heavy tension in Feng Tianyi's expression. Something was amiss.

"Lord Feng, a massive beast has emerged from the depths. It measures over 300 meters in length, with a wingspan of over 200 meters. Its massive size and intense aggression make it a lethal biological weapon."

Feng Mo inhaled sharply at the news. He had never seen a creature of such scale. To think that this was only a branch of the New Human Church—it made him wonder how powerful the main sect might be.

"Tianyi, withdraw with your squad. Aier, continue the assault on the remaining New Human Church forces. The Hurricane will head to Beast Roar Starport to confront this beast."

With Feng Mo's orders, Aier took command of the fleet while the Hurricane sped toward the starport. There, the colossal creature loomed into view, undaunted by the larger ship before it. With a menacing growl, it charged at the Hurricane.

"Prepare the T4 electromagnetic railgun. Let's test this beast's resilience," ordered Feng Mo, intrigued. A creature of this scale was a rare find. If he could capture it, it would make a valuable asset for a future biological research facility.
