Sensing the threat, the beast's thick tail began to glow with a crimson light, which quickly traveled up its body to its neck. Then, the beast opened its enormous jaws and unleashed a red energy beam that collided directly with the railgun shot.
A thunderous explosion erupted in space, unusual for energy clashes, accompanied by faint sparks at the collision point.
The beast appeared weakened after the clash, likely due to its recent awakening. Feng Mo's eyes brightened at the sight, his interest in this creature only growing.
"Hurricane, turn around. Let's lure it into space," Feng Mo ordered, eager to see if the beast could survive in the starry void. If it could, this creature would be a rare find—one worthy of research.
The Hurricane ignored the creature and advanced toward open space, which only infuriated the beast further. It spread its wings and followed, but it could not match the Hurricane's speed.
Once the Hurricane reached the outskirts of Beast Roar Starport, the beast had also entered open space. Feng Mo watched the radar and was thrilled to see that the creature showed no signs of distress in the void. He wondered if it might even be capable of interplanetary travel.

"But its greatest asset is its regenerative ability. The beast has already recovered from the drain of its red energy beam," she added.

"Fire!" Feng Mo commanded, and the blue energy ball condensed at the cannon's mouth transformed into a laser beam, racing toward the beast. In response, the creature fired its own crimson beam. The blue and red energies clashed, sparking briefly before dissipating in space.
Feng Mo was astonished. The beast's attack had matched the T4-class ion laser cannon. And these were no ordinary cannons—they had been modified, making them 30% more powerful than standard ion lasers. The beast's offensive capability was, without a doubt, on par with T4 weaponry.
However, the clash had left the beast in even worse shape. Its wings began to falter, struggling to hold it aloft in the vacuum.
"Prepare the T5-class stellar annihilation cannon," Feng Mo ordered calmly. He wanted to see if the beast could withstand the might of this ultimate weapon.
Meanwhile, the beast's regenerative ability allowed it to regain some stability in space. As the cannon on the Hurricane's bow charged, the beast's survival instincts kicked in. It felt an intense wave of fear, something primal that even humans experience—although animals feel it much more acutely. The beast's eyes flickered with terror, and it curled up, shielding itself with its massive wings.
The annihilation cannon charged, gathering a radiant orange sphere of energy at its muzzle. Despite its fear, the beast roared defiantly, violet energy glowing around its neck as it prepared to unleash its most powerful attack.
"Sir, T5-class annihilation cannon is fully charged. Awaiting orders."
"Fire!" Feng Mo watched eagerly, wondering if the beast would survive. But the creature's violet energy beam was instantly engulfed by the annihilation cannon's blast, which then collided with its massive wings.
In space, sound cannot travel, so the immense impact was silent. The orange beam bored through the beast, scattering purple blood across the void.
"Sir, radar shows no signs of life from the beast," Hua Qin reported.
"Tianyi, bring the beast's body back. Load it onto the transport ship, and collect all the blood scattered in space. This creature has high research value," Feng Mo ordered.
"Understood!" Feng Tianyi acknowledged.
Leaving the task to Feng Tianyi, Feng Mo shifted his focus back to the ongoing space battle. The New Human Church's fleet was nearing total defeat, with most of its 900 starships either destroyed or surrendering.
Feng Mo ordered a thorough screening of the survivors, intending to eliminate all Church members. Those who passed the inspection would be sent to the Hurricane System to work as miners, while the Beast Roar Star System would be reserved for greater purposes.
