Doric came to after hurting so much. "I can absorb mana better now? Do you mean you had me do that just to open up my pathways? That sounds insane!"
Welsher laughed and patted his leg then became serious really quickly. "I am insane my young Doric!" Before pausing and laughing once more.
He did feel different than before, less stuffy and if he did not have lungs but the best way to describe it was he could breathe easier now. "I have to admit this is amazing. I feel like I have been reborn in spirit. Everything seems easier to do now."
Welshe clapped his hands together and gave a jump in the air before landing and slamming a piece of rock out of place. "Glad to hear! Let's get you trained now. Quick catch this." He said casually before launching a boulder at Doric.
Panic captured him as he had never used his psychic powers for anything that large. At best he could open a door or shake someones hands but not stop a boulder coming at him. He wanted to get out of the way which he noticed before doing so that he could easily dodge this boulder if he tried.
He felt faster than before. "If I am faster then am I stronger as well?" He felt a little confidence as he stood his ground and focused all of his energy on the boulder doing everything in his power to stop it from advancing. It was coming in hot but he felt a strong desire that he would overcome this obstacle in front of him.
"Arrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!" He let out a battle cry to show he meant business. It felt like it was going great!
Up until the boulder slammed face-first into the flaming skull slamming it into the wall and shattering the skull itself. Yet again he felt the stinging taste of death and yet again he was revived by his mentor.
Coming to once again. Doric felt stupid. If he could he would be blushing with embarrassment right now.
"Very good. You may not have beaten the boulder but you stood your ground and that was a very manly way to die!" Welsher smiled with enthusiasm.
"A manly way to die huh?" Doric mumbled as he remembered his last moments in his world. Dying to protect the girl he loved and going out like a hero. "I don't think dying a hero's death is anything to seek. I would rather continue to live like a hero not constantly die like one…"
Nodding his head slowly, Welsher looked like a wise old man. "Very good words indeed. Perhaps you will learn more than I anticipated during this training." He walked over to the shattered boulder and picked up a rock about the size of his head. Returning to his spot he looked at Doric.
"We are going to need to work on building up your Magic Power Level. I think some good old mental exercises will do the trick." He said as he makes the motion of lifting weights.
Placing the rock down in front of Doric he instructed. "Make sure to raise that above your head and back on the ground 1000 times. Once you finish that we can continue.
With a sigh of defeat he nodded and began trying to lift the rock over his head. "This is already going to be harder than I thought…"

Working through a concoction of medicines Nyssa and Mauve were mixing away without a care in the world.
"How do I know how much to put in something?" Nyssa asked as she was holding a root that seemed to ooze purple liquid.
"Oh I just wing it, put a little in as I go and taste test it from time to time to see if it tastes right!" Mauve responded by dipping a spoon in the swirling concoction.
"But aren't we making a deadly poison?" Nyssa asked very concerned about to stop Mauve from killing herself.
"Yea, you got that right, so deadly it would kill an adult dragon three times over!" She went to take a sip but Nyssa knocked the spoon from her hand just in time.
"That's going to kill you, don't drink it!" Nyssa blurted out scared and angry at almost losing her teacher.
Mauve looked at her a little saddened that she just lost a taste of the food about to cry before she sniffed and wiped her tears back. She had remembered something. "Oh that's right, you don't know why I was appointed the village potion maker."
Nyssa shook her head. "Well if I had to guess they tricked you into it. I can't believe you are still alive after what you just tried."
Mauve laughed and quickly grabbed another spoonful and stuck it in her mouth before Nyssa could stop her. She seemed alright at first and Nyssa was scared for her life.
She was not sure if maybe the poison was incomplete or maybe not strong yet but she went to help Mauve throw up when all of a sudden Mauve started falling to the ground convulsing horribly.
"Tell, my master…I loved him!" was all Mauve said before she stopped convulsing and breathing.
"Oh my god! My teacher just killed herself. I need to find someone quickly." She stood up and ran to the door to try to find a cleric but found that the door was sealed shut but some kind of magic. She struggled hard before starting to cry in frustration.
"Open, dammit, my teacher is dying!" She struggled but it was futile. After a few moments, she heard some snickering coming from behind her. Looking she saw her teacher sitting on the cauldron drinking a little more of the poison.
She lifted a spoon towards Nyssa and offered her some. Laughing as she did. Nyssa looked at the ground where she was and back at the cauldron.
"Wh-what, but how?" She stammered as she walked over to her mentor.
"Oh, didn't I tell you? I have an ability that makes me immune to all types of poisons silly!" Was all Mauve said before she felt the back of her head hit the pavement from the wide slap she got from her trainee.
"Alright I get it, too far…" She said as she saw stars in her eyes.
