The surrounding temperature is a bit low, Akira's right hand is stiff. Shoto Todoroki's attack is not ineffective but very effective. His hand is frozen for a while, and he feels his blood coagulating.
This might be due to Shoto Todoroki increasing the purity of the ice. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to have such great power. Perhaps it's specifically meant to deal with Akira—using his full strength.
Bakugo Katsuki has lost about half of his combat effectiveness. Even with his combat suit, it can't prevent the paralysis caused by Akira's lightning. Right now, Bakugo Katsuki must be in pain and frustrated by the skin-deep injury.
"Boom!"
A loud explosion rings out as Akira leaps from the spot, shattering the ground beneath him. A cloud of smoke rises, and an ice blast strikes him from the smoke instantly.
"Are you going to destroy everything?" Akira's original plan is disrupted. He can no longer continue fighting. The current position isn't suitable for him to fight, and the space is too small, making it easy to get injured.
"Thunder guy, don't even think about running." Bakugo Katsuki bursts out of the smoke, a burst of fire erupting from his palms and hitting Akira's back.
Akira activates his speed, dodging quickly by using the light beneath his feet. He then rushes to the top of the eighth floor.
Inside the eighth-floor room, both Kaminari Denki and Yaoyorozu Momo hear the violent explosion. They suddenly become nervous. "Do you think Akira will be alright?" Kaminari Denki asks anxiously.
"He should be fine. His quirk is very strong, but facing two equally strong opponents, I'm not sure," Yaoyorozu Momo replies, more optimistically but still with some concern.
At that moment, the door opens, and Akira walks in, looking a little disheveled. "Prepare for battle. You'll handle Bakugo Katsuki in a bit. He's only using half his strength. Leave the rest of Todoroki to me."
Before Kaminari Denki and Yaoyorozu Momo can respond, an explosion shakes the door. As the smoke clears, Bakugo Katsuki and Shoto Todoroki stand before them.
"Thunder God Discharge, One Hundred Thousand Volts!"
Akira summons Thor's power to his hands, channeling blue lightning and striking the two of them. Though this is a 100,000-volt strike, it only hurts Bakugo Katsuki and Shoto Todoroki, certainly not killing them.
Shoto Todoroki, with a solemn expression, waves his right hand. Instantly, an ice wall forms, blocking the lightning. The electricity crackles against the ice, thinning the wall.
"Damn it, how can he be so strong?" Bakugo Katsuki grits his teeth. He can't wait any longer. As the lightning diminishes, he jumps up suddenly and charges at Akira.
But Kaminari Denki and Yaoyorozu Momo stop him. Their task is to deal with Bakugo.
"Don't get in my way!" Bakugo Katsuki shouts as he fires an explosion from both hands, striking the two of them.
Yaoyorozu Momo quickly creates a large shield to block the explosion, and the battle between the two sides escalates.
Akira crushes the last of the ice wall, but his energy is starting to wane. He's used too many lightning-based quirks, and now he feels drained.
However, his first-level Qi cultivation is not to be underestimated. His speed remains high, and he quickly reaches Shoto Todoroki, touching him with his right hand.
"I've been waiting for you," Shoto Todoroki says, smiling. A layer of ice instantly encases Akira. Although he doesn't know how Akira cracked the previous ice, he's certain the freezing will immobilize him.
Akira's expression changes. He didn't expect Todoroki's freezing speed to be so fast. Before he can fully react, his body is frozen, leaving only his face exposed.
"Is this how I lose?" Akira mutters. He can't use air control right now for two reasons: one is that All Might would notice, and the other is that he doesn't have the energy to break free from the ice.
Shoto Todoroki's face is pale. Though his special uniform worked well, he used a lot of energy fighting Akira, and now he feels weak.
He steps toward the nuclear warhead, inching closer to the final victory. The battle is nearly over.
Meanwhile, Bakugo Katsuki is struggling against Kaminari Denki and Yaoyorozu Momo. His physical strength is running low, and he's barely keeping up. Much of this resistance comes from his pride.
He never expected someone like Akira—on the same starting point as him—to outshine him. He won't let Akira surpass him.
"The end is near," Shoto Todoroki sighs in relief as he reaches the nuclear warhead. This battle was harder than he expected. Facing someone as strong as Akira, he learned a lot about his own shortcomings. He plans to improve after returning.
Kaminari Denki wants to help stop Todoroki, but Bakugo Katsuki halts him, "Stay with me. It's time for discharge!"
Just when everyone thought Todoroki would win, two blue lights flash from Akira's eyes, directly destroying the nuclear warhead.
Todoroki's face changes. Akira's eyes shot out lightning... From his quirk's eyes!
The second coming of Thor means that the God of Thunder can generate lightning from any part of the body. This is the power of the so-called Thunder God.
Although the lightning from Akira's eyes is small, it's still enough to destroy the nuclear warhead.
After the warhead detonates, a pink smoke fills the room.
No one expected such a twist.
All Might's voice rings out: "The game is over. The first group is tied!"
"A tie?" Everyone is surprised. They thought Akira's group was clearly superior.
Someone comments, "Although Akira is strong, he destroyed the warhead, which led to mutual destruction. It's reasonable for this to end in a draw."
"I believe Todoroki's team lost," Ida Tenya says, analyzing the situation. "The warhead belonged to the Villains, which means the life of this city was in Akira's hands. Although Todoroki's group was about to deactivate the threat, Akira detonated it. While both teams may have died, people in the city would have suffered too."
"Since the threat wasn't removed, and the Villains used such a weapon, then Todoroki's team has lost," Ida concludes.
Everyone's eyes widen in realization, agreeing that Akira's team won after all.
All Might nods, "Although I declared a tie, you should all understand from Ida's analysis that Villains never show mercy. If they had powers like Akira's, Heroes would be in grave danger."
"We can't afford to take chances. Improving our strength is always our priority," All Might says, though he's clearly concerned. Akira's strength has once again surprised him.
This dark horse truly isn't easy to defeat...
