Henry Esprit
It only took seconds for it to catch me. Surrounding me in purple fog and lifting me into the air. Aurum, who was still on my head, charged and attempted to attack the spirit but was swatted away straight into the wall. His aura dimmed down and he slid down the wall onto the floor. The purple mist began to suffocate me.
I began to fade out of consciousness and my vision became blurry. Out of nowhere a massive spirit energy erupted accompanied by a deep blue light.
The source of the blue light charged straight at the evil spirit king, knocking it back and freeing me from its grasp. The blue light chased after the spirit king it had just sent flying.
I hit the ground and gasped for air, my vision slowly returning. I crawled my way over to Aurum and poured some spiritual energy into him. He lit back up and flew up, straight into the ceiling.
"GAHHH!! WHERE IS IT!!" Aurum screamed, ripping himself out of the ceiling. "Calm down moron, he just knocked you out in one light hit." He paused for a moment before settling back down on my head. "You have a point."
Another sudden burst of spiritual energy almost knocked me off my feet. The blue light suddenly flew past me straight into the wall. It was elder Dianna, who was fused with her spirit.
Before I could help her she pulled herself out of the wall and took off back to where she had just been sent from. I could feel her push her spiritual energy to the max and prepare an attack.
Before she could pull the attack off she was sent flying again, this time going completely through the wall into another room. She slowly got back to her feet, struggling to stay standing. I pulled out a talisman in an attempt to help. Sana.
The energy from the talisman began to heal elder Dianna and she stood with more ease. "Thanks Henry, but you need to get out of here. This thing is too strong for any of us."
Before I could say anything the evil spirit appeared in front of me and hit me straight on the chest, knocking me away again. Elder Dianna attempted to launch another attack but was rendered completely helpless. The commotion attracted the rest of our group, who were quickly knocked out by the spirit, which had now turned its attention back to Elder Dianna.
"Aurum, it's now or never." I began to circulate my spiritual energy. "The goal is to hurt that thing." Aurum said and began to circulate his energy. After a few moments, Aurum melted into my body, his energy mixing with mine.
The energies mixed together perfectly and it was time for the hardest step. Our consciences began to merge, the rejection began to attempt to send Aurum out of my body, but together we used our energies to keep him in. "Come on Aurum, just like yesterday." "Shut up. Let me focus."
***The night before***
"Mom, is there any tips you can give me for Spiritus Possessionem?" We had been practicing to no avail, failing to merge our consciences every time. "Hmmm let's see. What do you and Aurum think about while trying to merge?" The question stumped me. "Merging, I guess?" Mom sat and thought for a few seconds.
"Your minds need to be on the same wavelength to merge. Dianna is too talented in summoning so she probably wasn't able to explain it properly. Your minds need to be the same, in short, you need to be thinking the same things, and have the same goal in mind." That gave me an idea. "Thanks mom."
I ran upstairs to my room and summoned Aurum. After explaining what mom had told me I told him my plan. "She said we need to be thinking the same thing and have the same goal in mind so we just need to come up with a simpler goal than just 'combining.'" I grabbed a family picture off my desk and set it on the bed. "For now let's try making our goal to pick this thing up."
We attempted Spiritus Possessionem again, this time with our goal being to pick up the cup. We merged our energies and began to merge our minds thinking about our goal. Our minds truly began to merge and the inner voice in my head began to change, I could feel my thoughts becoming one with Aurum. Separation began to occur, and I, or maybe Aurum, I couldn't tell at this point, came up with the Idea to surround it with our merged energy and forced them together.
The plan worked and our minds completely merged together. Our body changed. Our hair and eyes gave off bright golden shines and golden markings appeared all over our body. We could feel our spiritual energy grow even more and reinforce our entire body. Power, we felt powerful. More so than ever.
The connection didn't last too long until we separated again, not used to the newfound feeling. "We did it!" I exclaimed excitedly. "Yeah we did." For the rest of the night we continued to practice, until we felt we had somewhat mastery.
I figured the entire clan probably knew by now, as we had made no attempt to hide our spiritual energy, but we still planned to surprise everyone at the next training.
***Back To The Present***
Our energies and minds combined. Our body began to glow and we channeled our spiritual energy into our fist. We jumped at the spirit and landed a surprise attack using our light element. The spirit king howled in surprise and backed away.
We didn't let up and launched attack after attack, fists charged with light attributed spiritual energy. Our clash was destroying the building and our surroundings. We were doing damage, we could win.
That was a false hope. The evil spirit kind screamed and let out a massive burst of spiritual energy, the largest yest, and sent up through a wall.
We climbed ourselves out of the debris to try and continue the fight but it suddenly disappeared. In an attempt to find it we spread out our spiritual energy, but had no success. "Don't bother Henry, it's gone." Elder Dianna appeared from out of the rubble.
The fight had caused several walls and many ceilings to be destroyed during the fight. "Where did it go?" we asked, still itching to fight. "It ran away."
