"Why are you so curious to know why I saved you?" I said as I glared at Liam, who didn't seem to be cooperating.
"I brought a deal to our discussion the last time, and imagine the only thing you said was that I could do nothing; that sounds right to you, Hun," Liam said as he paced through my room.
"Alex, calm down, just calm down, please," I begged, already feeling a wave of frustration flutter through my head.
"I will tell you everything when it's the right time. Can you just cooperate with me? Can you just play along for the main time before I come up with a plan?" I said as I glared at Liam.
"So what do I have to do right now that I'm your mate?" Liam said as he looked at me with a subconscious gaze, which I avoided.
"I just don't want to get married to the alpha of the other pack; I want to live my life outside the palace, and only a mate is the key to that," I said as I sat down on my bed. My face deepened in my palms.
"If that's it, then it's not a problem. You have to remember our deal; you just have to keep to it," Liam said as I nodded in response.
Manna came into the room; she didn't knock; she met both Liam and me.
"My lady, I'm so sorry for barging in such a manner; please forgive my manners, "Manna said apologetically.
"No, Manna, you are like my mother; you don't need to knock under any circumstances before you enter my room," I said as I let out a plastered smile on my lips.
"I guess I would have to learn to add to my manner since you already have a mate and you are bound to have your privacy," Manna said as I smiled, not knowing what else to say.
"The Alpha requests the presence of both of you, without delay, "Manna said as I nodded.
"We will be there in a few minutes, Manna," she went out as she gently closed the door behind her.

The Blood Moon will be out on the last Saturday of this month, and you know, well, it's the festival.
"I'm quite pleased that you have your mate here with you; that makes the festival more joyous." What do you say, Ariana?
I could clearly remember I lost him on the Blood Moon festival; my mate died right there, choking on his last breath. I sighed deeply; however, the voice of my father startled me as I stared blankly.
"Yes, Father, I would get in contact with the shadow moon pack and also the Wolfsbay clan," I said as I bowed my head while walking away hurriedly.
Being the princess of the wolf pack never allowed me to do so many things; I had so many servants waiting at my table to attend to my needs.
I wanted to know what's more to life than being in a place where your needs are met and where everything is ordered on a golden platter.
I wanted to know what life outside luxury meant. My gaze crossed with that of Lima as I stared at him, and a smile formed on my left cheek.
I longed for that freedom, and he was the key to opening that door forever.
"Diana..." I heard my name called as the loud crashing sound of a cymbal followed it accordingly.
"Yes, Father." Meet Manna to help out with the preparations; even though it looks far-fetched with preparations, everything would be made easier.
"Okay, alpha," I responded formally, avoiding any other discussion. Liam had stayed with the alpha; I had no idea why, but I just hoped deep down in my heart that he wouldn't sell me out, and he did keep anything that had happened between us.
Different thoughts dashed through my head; my mind was obviously in a mess.
I knew he was someone I could trust; from the instant I saw him, I knew he was someone I could confide in, and I just hoped that he wouldn't break the trust I had in him so far.
"Hey buddy, it seems you have been lost in thoughts for a very long while. What have you been thinking?" Xenia said as I looked at her while rolling it through.
"Don't give me that expression; tell me what you have been up to, "Xenia inquired once again; however, this time round she was with a more serious tone.
"I..." was about to answer Xenia's question when I felt a sharp pain behind my back, unsure of whatever it could be. I was sure that it struck through every area and part of my body right at that moment.
I could feel the immense pain as it sank through my body. I blanked out as deep darkness welcomed me into a place of the unknown.
I didn't know who it was or who it could be; however, I knew one thing for sure: the person who had done this knew me better than ever.
"Ruby, can you just save me?" I muttered, trying my best to hold back the pain and the torture I felt right at that moment.
I saw him once again, his pleading eyes, his bleeding body begging me not to let go of him... "Find me, Diana," that man that I had seen was my destined lover.
I blanked out while falling on the hard-core floor.
