Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Just missing you

Romeo's voice was smooth as calm as he answered the call. "Hey, Natasha. What's up?"

Natasha's voice was husky and seductive on the other end of the line. "Just missing you, Romeo. When can I see you again?"

Romeo's eyes narrowed slightly as he walked over to the window, staring out at the city skyline. "I'm busy right now, Natasha. Maybe some other time."

Natasha's voice pouted on the other end of the line. "You're always busy, Romeo. You never have time for me."

Romeo's expression remained neutral, but his voice was firm. "I said maybe some other time, Natasha. Don't push it."

There was a pause on the other end of the line before Natasha spoke up again. "Fine, Romeo. But don't think you can just dismiss me like that. I'll be waiting for you."

Romeo raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm shaking in my boots, Natasha."

Natasha's voice laughed on the other end of the line. "You should be, Romeo. You should be."

Romeo rolled his eyes and ended the call, tossing his phone onto the bed. He couldn't believe he had ever gotten involved with someone like Natasha. She was manipulative and controlling, always trying to get what she wanted from him. his eyes narrowing slightly as he thought about the conversation.

His mother walked into the room with a tray of food, a warm smile on her face. "Hey, sweetie, I brought you some dinner."

Romeo's expression softened slightly as he looked at his mother. "Thanks, Mom," he said, his voice a little warmer.

He took a sandwich from the tray and began to eat, his eyes meeting his mother's in a brief moment of connection. His mother sat down beside him, watching him eat with a warm smile.

"Romeo, is everything okay?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Romeo's expression turned serious, but he nodded slightly. "I'm fine, Mom. Just dealing with some stuff."

His mother's eyes filled with concern, but she didn't push the issue. Instead, she put a hand on his arm, her touch warm and comforting. "I'm here for you, sweetie. Always."

---

The sun cast its warm rays over the lush green football field, illuminating the vibrant atmosphere of the school's courtyard. The sound of laughter, chatter, and the occasional shout filled the air as students milled about, enjoying the morning break.

Romeo sat on a bench, surrounded by his group of friends, all of whom were seniors and members of the school's elite clique. They were the crème de la crème of the student body, known for their wealth, privilege, and good looks. Romeo, with his chiseled features and piercing blue eyes, was the undisputed king of the group.

He held a football casually in his hands, tossing it up in the air and catching it with ease. His friends watched in admiration, their eyes shining with envy. The other students stood at a distance, watching the group with a mixture of awe and intimidation.

To one side of the courtyard, the school's imposing building loomed, its stone facade gleaming in the morning light. The sound of teachers' voices and the rustle of papers carried on the breeze, mingling with the laughter and chatter of the students.

As Romeo tossed the football again, his eyes met those of a few admiring girls, who quickly looked away, blushing. His friends chuckled and teased him, but Romeo just smiled lazily, his eyes crinkling at the corners. He was the master of his domain, and he knew it.

Romeo's gaze wandered lazily across the courtyard, his eyes scanning the crowds of students. His gaze drifted upwards, towards the second-floor balcony of the adjacent building. That was when he saw her - Selena, standing at the railing, her eyes fixed intently on him.

Their eyes met, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze. my heart skipped a beat as I felt a jolt of electricity run through my veins. i quickly looked away, My cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Romeo's eyes lingered on me for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, he looked away, his gaze returning to the football in his hands.

Selena, meanwhile, I grabbed my friends' arms, my voice barely above a whisper. "Let's go, guys. We're going to be late for class."

My friends looked at her curiously, but I just shook her head, my eyes avoiding theirs. "Nothing, let's just go."

As we hurried away, I couldn't help but sneak a glance back at Romeo. He was still sitting on the bench, his eyes fixed on the football in his hands. But as I looked at him, I could have sworn that I saw a flicker of awareness in his eyes, a sense that he knew I was watching him.

As Selena disappeared into the classroom, Romeo's expression darkened. He frowned, his eyes narrowing into slits. Suddenly, a commotion broke out at the entrance of the courtyard. A sleek, black sports car pulled up, and Priscilla Stone stepped out, her blonde hair shining in the sunlight.

The students around Romeo began to murmur and whisper, their eyes fixed on Priscilla. "Yeah, our queen bee!" one of them screamed, and Priscilla smiled, her eyes flashing with triumph.

Romeo's face turned black with anger as he watched Priscilla's entrance. He remembered what had happened yesterday, how Priscilla had flaunted her relationship with him in front of Selena. He knew that Priscilla was the one who had complained to her father about him, and that her father had called his own father to complain.

Romeo's eyes flashed with anger as he watched Priscilla sashay across the courtyard, her friends flocking around her like birds. He felt a surge of resentment towards her, and he knew that he had to do something to put her in her place.

Priscilla's eyes met Romeo's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Romeo's beautiful sapphire eyes were cold, his gaze piercing and unyielding. Priscilla's eyes, on the other hand, sparkled with amusement and challenge.

She smiled, a sly, seductive smile that was meant to provoke Romeo. But Romeo's expression didn't change. He just kept staring at her, his eyes cold and unyielding.

Priscilla's smile faltered for a moment, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. There was something about Romeo's gaze that made her feel uneasy, like he could see right through her.

But she quickly regained her composure, her smile returning to her face. She sauntered over to Romeo, her hips swaying seductively as she moved. "Hey, baby," she said, her voice husky and seductive. "Miss me?"

Romeo glared at Priscilla, his eyes flashing with annoyance. He stood up, his movements fluid and effortless, and walked away, leaving Priscilla staring after him.

But Priscilla didn't let him get away that easily. She quickly chased after him, her high heels clicking on the pavement as she followed him across the courtyard.
