Chapter 15 - The planet of mermaid

The sky was a canvas of stars as Theodore, Mateo, and Jasther soared through the cosmos in their ship, the Eclipse. Fresh from their intense training, they were eager to test their newfound powers. Their destination was a mysterious planet known as Aquara, a world entirely covered in water and inhabited by mermaids. The gods had inflicted great suffering upon this planet, and the trio hoped to find allies in their quest for vengeance.

Jasther, once a human who had endured unimaginable pain at the hands of the gods, now felt a surge of strength and purpose. The purple crystal he had acquired pulsed with energy, a constant reminder of the power he now wielded. He looked at the Robertson brothers, his new allies, and felt a sense of camaraderie he hadn't known in years.

"We're approaching Aquara," Theodore announced, his black sword, a gift from Artorius, resting at his side. "Prepare for descent."

Mateo, his eyes glowing with the fiery spirit of Lucius, the demon within him, nodded. "Let's see what this planet has in store for us."

As the Eclipse descended through the planet's atmosphere, the trio marveled at the vast expanse of water that stretched out below them. There was no land in sight, only endless waves and the occasional glimmer of something moving beneath the surface.

"We'll have to land in the water," Jasther said, adjusting the ship's controls. "Hold on."

The ship splashed down into the ocean, and they quickly activated the submersible mode. The Eclipse transformed, allowing them to navigate the underwater world with ease. They descended into the depths, the water growing darker and colder as they went.

"Look," Mateo said, pointing to a distant glow. "That must be the mermaid city."

They steered the ship towards the light, and soon, the majestic city of Nerida came into view. Towers of coral and shimmering pearls rose from the ocean floor, illuminated by bioluminescent plants and creatures. It was a breathtaking sight, but the trio knew they couldn't let their guard down.

As they approached the city, they were met by a group of mermaid soldiers, their scales glinting in the light. The leader, a fierce-looking mermaid with a trident, swam forward.

"Who are you, and what is your business here?" she demanded.

"We seek an audience with your queen," Theodore replied, his voice steady. "We come in peace."

The mermaid eyed them suspiciously but nodded. "Follow me."

They were led through the city, the mermaids watching them with a mix of curiosity and caution. Finally, they arrived at a grand palace made of coral and shells. Inside, on a throne of pearls, sat the mermaid queen, Alora. Her presence was commanding, her eyes filled with wisdom and strength.

"Who dares enter my domain?" she asked, her voice echoing through the chamber.

"We are here to seek your aid," Theodore said, stepping forward. "We are fighting against the gods who have wronged us all."

Queen Alora's eyes narrowed. "The gods have brought nothing but pain to my people. Why should I trust you?"

Before Theodore could respond, a group of mermaid soldiers burst into the chamber, their weapons drawn. "Your Majesty, these are the ones who killed Poseidon!"

The room fell silent, and Queen Alora's expression turned to one of fury. "You brats killed my husband Poseidon?" she hissed.

"We had no choice," Mateo said, his voice firm. "He was corrupted by the gods and stood in our way."

"Enough!" Alora shouted. "You will pay for what you've done."

With a wave of her hand, the soldiers attacked. Theodore, Mateo, and Jasther fought back, their powers clashing with the mermaids' aquatic abilities. The battle was fierce, the water churning with energy and light.

Theodore transformed into his molten form, his lava powers creating steam and bubbles in the water. He swung his black sword, sending waves of molten rock towards the mermaids. Mateo moved with the grace of a shadow, his sword slicing through the water with deadly precision. The shadows wrapped around the mermaids, suffocating them.

Jasther unleashed blasts of purple energy, disintegrating anything in their path. His once-human strength was now amplified, his resilience unmatched. But despite their combined efforts, the mermaids' numbers were overwhelming.

"Fall back!" Theodore shouted, realizing they were being surrounded.

They retreated, but the mermaids were relentless. Finally, they were captured and dragged into a dark cave, their powers suppressed by enchanted chains.

Queen Alora swam into the cave, her eyes blazing with anger. "You will rot in here for what you've done," she said. "You killed my husband, and now you will suffer."

"We didn't want to kill him," Theodore said, his voice filled with regret. "But he was a threat to us and to your people."

Alora's expression softened slightly, but her resolve remained. "You will stay here until I decide your fate."

With that, she left, and the trio was left in the darkness, their minds racing with thoughts of escape.

"We need to find a way out of here," Mateo said, his voice determined. "We can't let this be the end."

Jasther nodded. "We'll find a way. We always do."

As they sat in the cave, plotting their escape, they knew that their journey was far from over. They had faced many challenges, but this was just another obstacle in their path. Together, they would find a way to overcome it and continue their fight against the gods.
